𝓚aileena, Steve, and Nat walked together in the mall with "disguises" on. They were really crappy, Kaileena was starting to think that people were literally blind as hell if they didn't recognize the three idiots who were walking around in the mall with caps and hoodies on.

Steve was wearing his iconic blue cap, Kaileena wore a red cap that had the Canadian leaf design on it from the flag and wayfarer style sunglasses, Nat wore a jacket that had a hoodie attached to it. Great disguises, honestly. Truly amazing.

"First rule of going on the run is don't run, walk." Nat told them, the three of them started to walk instead of run. Steve kept looking around to make sure that no one saw them and started to head towards them.

Steve looked back at the front, "If I run in these shoes, they're gonna fall off."

"If I run in these heels, I might trip, fall, and die. I don't think you want me dead, do you?" Kaileena asked to which Nat replied with an,

"Of course, not."

The three of them ended up in the Apple store and immediately went towards a vacant computer. Kaileena didn't understand why they needed to use one in the mall, she could literally afford all of the computers and laptops in the store. Broke bitches, man. That's just how they work.

"The drive has a Level Six homing program, so as soon as we boot up SHIELD will know exactly where we are." Nat said, gesturing to the USB drive that Fury gave Steve when he showed up in his apartment, also where he got shot.

Steve looked around once again to keep an eye out, "How much time will we have?"

"Probably about nine minutes from..." Kaileena started, she paused when Nat inserted the drive into the computer before continuing, "now." Steve looked at her surprised, Kaileena rolled her eyes. Yeah, she didn't get the smarts gene but she wasn't stupid, she still went to school. She was a straight-A student, she was top of her class.

"Fury was right about that ship. Somebody's trying to hide something. This drive is protected by some sort of AI. It keeps rewriting itself to counter my commands." Nat said, furrowing her eyebrows as she opened a document in the drive.

Kaileena groaned, "If only Tony were here." She muttered, if her brother was here then it would've taken only a few seconds, unlike their precious nine minutes. Hell, if Tony were here, they wouldn't even be in the damn Apple store in the mall.

"Yeah, well he isn't." Steve remarked, he also secretly wished Tony was present with them because this would be a whole lot easier. "Can you override it?" He asked Nat who shook her head.

"The person who developed this is slightly smarter than me. Slightly." Nat said, emphasizing the word 'slightly' which made Kaileena giggle.

The male looked at the Stark while pointing a finger at her, "You're a Stark, why don't you try?"

"Yeah, Lena. You should do it." Nat said agreeing with Steve but Kaileena just shook her head and held her arms up in defense.

"No way, I can't do stuff like this."

"Why not?"

Kaileena rolled her eyes before explaining, she hated talking about how she didn't get the geek genes as her twin did. "I sadly didn't get the scientific genius gene, only annoying Tony got it. It's totally unfair. I mean, we're twins. Both of us should have it but nooo, only Tony did." She explained with a frown on her face.

Nat raised her eyebrows then placed them down, "Yeahhh, totally." She whispered, dragging the H in 'yeah'.

"Are you mocking me?" Kaileena dramatically gasped, placing her hand on her chest.

Nat scoffed, "No I wasn't."

"You totally were!"

"Lena, I swear I wasn't! Believe me!"

"Oh, please. I swear-"

"Enough!" Steve interjected which made both girls shut their mouths. Nat went back to dealing with the computer and the drive while Kaileena took out her phone and started texting Tony. Steve sighed, "Come on, guys. We have to focus here, stop bickering!"

"We weren't bickering, Steven." Kaileena snapped at him while her eyes were still glued to her phone screen, laughing when Tony sent her a funny picture of Happy Hogan, his bodyguard and chauffeur.

"I'm gonna try running a tracer. This is a program that SHIELD developed to track hostile malware, so if we can't read the file, maybe we can find out where it came from." Nat said before Steve could scold Kaileena, Thank God.

They were interrupted by one of the working walking up to them, "Can I help you guys with anything?" Kaileena's head snapped up and all of them turned their attention to the Apple worker who had long blond hair and a full beard.

Nat quickly moved her body so that he wouldn't see the screen, "Oh, no." She started with a fake voice as she placed her hands on Steve's shoulder then leaning on it. "My fiance was just helping me with some honeymoon destinations." Kaileena just stood there trying not to laugh.

"Right. We're getting married." Steve said smiling, playing along with it.

The worker stepped closer to Steve, "Congratulations. Where are you guys thinking about going? And I suppose this is your child?" He asked, gesturing to a quiet Kaileena.

Steve looked at the computer as it finally located the city and said what it wrote, "New Jersey."

"Oh."

"And she's, uh, our-" Steve looked at Kaileena but got cut off by the girl, herself.

"I have no idea who these people are. I've never met them in my life." She said, pointing at them. By now, she took off her sunglasses but not her hat. Steve and the worker had their attention on her and Nat glanced at her for a second before going back to the computer.

The worker narrowed his eyes at her which made both Kaileena and Steve nervous, it seemed that he finally got what he was looking for when he snapped his fingers. "Ah! I know you!" He exclaimed, pointing at Kaileena whose eyes were now wide. "You're Kaileena Stark!"

Kaileena sighed in relief and gave him her award-winning smile, "Yes! Haha, that's me. Kaileena Stark!" She placed her arms in an outstretched position and shook her hands as if she were saying 'Ta-da!".

The worker stepped closer to her and took out his phone, "I can't believe it, you're actually here! I'm a big fan, I love Tigers because of you! Do you mind if I take a picture with you?" Steve saw that the worker was distracted from fangirling over Kaileena and went to help out Nat.

"Of course, not!" He raised his phone and smiled brightly, holding up a peace sign while Kaileena just smiled sweetly. This part wasn't an act, she loved meeting her fans. He backed away from the celebrity, looking at their picture before turning off his phone and placing it in his pocket.

"If you guys need anything, I've been Aaron." He told them, holding up his ID. Steve thanked him and he nodded, walking away. Kaileena let out a breath she didn't know she was holding before looking around to make sure that no one was watching her and going invisible.

"Elena said nine minutes. Come on." Steve reminded Nat as he looked at his watch, they were running out of time.

"Relax." Nat paused before she smirked. "Got it." The map started to zoom in closer before it finally found the location. Wheaton, NJ. Nat looked up at Steve who bent down closer to the computer screen. "You know it?"

"I used to. Let's go." He said, getting the USB drive and placing it in his pocket. He looked around for Kaileena but didn't find her anywhere, he shrugged and guessed that she was probably outside of the store.

Nat and Steve were speed-walking when Nat noticed that a certain Stark wasn't with them. "Wait, where's Kaileena?" As if Nat's "wish" came true, Kaileena appeared out of nowhere beside her.

"I'm here!" Kaileena said which made Nat jump and look at her, Steve looked to his right to see the girl who they were looking for.

"Oh, my God! Where the hell were you?" Nat whisper-shouted to Kaileena who shrugged and looked in front of her.

"I went invisible. I couldn't be seen with you guys since I told that worker I didn't know you. Now, what's happening?" Kaileena said, ending the topic just like that and changing it.

"Standard Tac team. Two behind, two across, and two coming straight at us." Steve noted, looking behind them and then back at the front. Kaileena nodded and tracked all of them. "If they make us, I'll engage, Nat, you hit the south escalator to the metro, and Elena, you hit the north side." Steve ordered.

"Shut up and put your arm around me. Laugh at something I said. Lena, pretend you have no idea who we are." Nat ordered in a monotone voice. Kaileena walked away from them, she didn't glance at them because they were supposed to be strangers to her. A weird, awkward couple that had a lot of sexual tension but couldn't afford to actually be together.

Steve, being the stupid bitch that he is had to ask, "Why?"

"Do it." This time, Steve actually placed his arm around her and laughed, it was so obvious that the laugh was fake. Kaileena took a mental note to give Steve some acting lessons, he desperately needed it.

Kaileena still followed the duo, making sure to keep an eye on them from afar and try not to seem like a stalker. Steve and Nat went on the escalator, going down to the ground floor just as one of the people who were looking for them was going up the escalator beside them. Kaileena stood behind Steve but she didn't look at him, instead, she looked at the multiple shops and stores.

Nat saw the guy and turned around to face Steve, "Kiss me." Both Steve and Kaileena's eyes snapped towards Nat's when she said that.

"What?"

"Yeah, what?" Kaileena whispered, adding to Steve's comment.

"Public displays of affection make people very uncomfortable." Nat said to which Steve nodded.

"Yes, they do." They very much do, a part of Kaileena wanted them to finally kiss but another part of her didn't want to witness it up close.

Kaileena widened her eyes when Nat placed her hand on Steve's neck and pushed him down towards her and connecting their lips. The man looked in their direction and then quickly looked away, not wanting to see whatever Nat and Steve were doing. Kaileena was glad that she had her sunglasses on because if she didn't, they would be screwed.

Nat pulled away first and turned back around, her back facing Steve and Kaileena. "You still uncomfortable?" She asked before she started walking down the escalator.

"Um . . . it was for me."

"It's not exactly the word I would use." Steve said as he followed Nat down the escalator with Kaileena behind them.

𝓣hey were now in a stolen car that Rogers took, Steve in the driver's seat as Nat was seated at the passenger seat and Kaileena having the whole back seat to herself. They passed the 'Welcome to NEW JERSEY' sign when Nat looked at Steve.

Nat had her feet up on the dashboard which seemed to piss Steve off. Kaileena was laying down in the back seat as she practiced her invisibility powers, her arm would be gone one second then her leg then her whole body, all her body parts. It kind of freaked Steve out so he refrained from looking back at her through the car mirror.

"Where did Captain America learn how to steal a car?" Nat asked him.

Kaileena added to Nat's question, "Yeah, where?"

Steve glanced at Nat before turning his attention back to the road and shifting in his seat, "Nazi Germany." He responded to which Nat hummed. "And we're borrowing. Take your feet off the dash."

Nat looked at him for a while before taking her feet off the dashboard. "Alright, I have a question for you, which you do not have to answer. I feel like if you don't answer it though, you're kind of answering it, you know."

Kaileena sat up knowing it was going to be a juicy question.

"What?" Steve, being overwhelmed by Nat's confusing concept, exclaimed.

"Was that your first kiss since 1945?" Nat teased to which Kaileena smirked.

"Oh my God, Steve. I wonder what Peggy would say about that." Kaileena added to Nat's teasing which made Steve groan.

"That bad, huh?"

"I didn't say that."

"You definitely did."

"Shut up, Lena."

"Thank you, Len. And Nat- well, it kind of sounds like that's what you're saying." Steve said while nodding his head a few times, thanking Kaileena for being on his side. Kaileena sighed dramatically, Damn right you should be thankful I'm on your team, Steven.

"No, I didn't. I just wondered how much practice you've had."

"You don't need practice."

"Everybody needs practice."

"Nat, was the kiss nice or not?" Kaileena interjected, she actually wanted to know if Steve could actually kiss well because she just might try it out. Steve glanced at her with a weird expression while Nat just smirked.

"How about you give it a go, Lena. I'm sure Steve over here would love to have his second kiss." Nat suggested while smirking. In complete honesty, Kaileena actually wanted to give it a go. She couldn't deny that Steve was handsome, he really was.

"Ooh, yeah. Steve, do you wanna kiss?" Kaileena asked, looking at a very uncomfortable Steve Rogers. Steve pressed his lips together before looking at Kaileena in the back seat.

They stared at eachother for a bit, Nat was just looking back and forth at them waiting for something to happen. Nat's face held a disappointed pout when he turned back around to face the road and narrowed his eyes which made Kaileena groan and sit back. "It was not my first kiss since 1945. And Lena, I would love to but not now."

Kaileena let out a quiet "wow" at Steve's confession. I guess I'll just have to get him alone later, she thought.

"I'm 95, I'm not dead." Steve added, defending himself.

"Old bastard." Kaileena muttered quietly so only she can hear but apparently, she wasn't quiet enough since Nat burst out laughing which made the Stark smile, Steve looked at the two girls confused as to why something was suddenly so funny.

Nat finally stopped laughing and looked back at the road only to face Steve once again, "Nobody special, though?" She asked which got Steve to chuckle.

"Believe it or not, it's kind of hard to find someone with shared life experience."

"I haven't been frozen for 70 years nor have I fought in the army but I'm open and single over here, Rogers." Kaileena joked, pointing at herself. "And for your dating situation, you just suck at making moves, admit it."

"I don't suck, what are you talking about?" Steve defended himself, raising his arm and then dropping it. He definitely sucks. He couldn't even compliment a girl without stuttering or messing up, it was embarrassing.

"She's right Steve, you suck at hitting on people." Nat added, siding with the Stark who smirked in victory that she got Nat on her side.

Steve looked at Nat offended, "Whose side are you on?"

Nat raised her eyebrows and placed her hands up in defense, before she could say anything Kaileena beat her to it. "She's on my team, obviously. As she should be because I'm right. I always am, it's a gift." Kaileena spoke for Nat, practically shoving the fact that she was right in Steve's face.

Steve scoffed, "You're not always right, Lena."

"Yes, I am. Just admit it, Steven. Admit that you suck at hitting on people then this conversation will be over." Kaileena said with a challenging look which Steve returned.

"I don't suck at hitting on people."

"Yes, you do."

"No, I don't."

"Yes, you do."

"No, I don't!"

"Yes, you do, Steve!"

They both glared at eachother through the dashboard mirror, both refusing to lose. Kaileena showed her glowing orange eyes threateningly which, even if he won't admit it, scared Steve. Finally, after what felt like forever, Steve sighed in defeat and looked away, "Fine. I admit it."

Kaileena smiled in victory and fist-bumped with Nat, she sat back in her seat and took out her phone to brag to Tony that she just won another argument with Steve.

Steve and Nat started talking about their sad depressing life stories but Elena couldn't care less. She probably had the most traumatic experience when she was in HYDRA, none of their stories could beat hers.

Thinking of her time in HYDRA made her think about James. Was he alive, was he dead, was he frozen in ice or something horrible? She looked at Steve and made sure to remember to ask him about James soon, they were best buddies in the '40s so Steve might know some stuff.

Kaileena was on a call with her brother when the car stopped, "Bye, bitch. Hope you trip and die, love you!" She said her goodbye's before pressing the end call button and placing it in her pocket. Steve and Nat looked at her weirdly, she just shrugged and opened the door, getting out and taking a deep breath which she immediately regretted doing since she inhaled dust from the dirt on the ground.

Nat got out of the car and looked a coughing Kaileena, "You good?" Kaileena just held up a thumbs up in response, coughing a bit more before she stood up straight and fixed her shirt and hair. Kaileena left her long beige jacket, sunglasses, and cap in the car, she wasn't very fond of sweating and she didn't need to wear her sunglasses anymore since they weren't at the mall.

"This is it." Steve said, holding his shield as the three of them walked closer to the metal fence.

Nat placed her phone in her pocket, "The file came from these coordinates."

Steve sharply inhaled and looked at one of the signs that were on the fence, "So did I."

Kaileena rolled her eyes at Steve's dramatics and decided to speak up, "Alright, enough of that. Let's go inside, losers." She said as she stepped closer to the fence. She revealed her claws and started breaking the fence, she made a big enough hole for them to go through.

Kaileena walked through it but didn't detach her claws incase someone went to charge at her. Steve and Nat looked at eachother before looking at a door in the far right, Kaileena didn't seem to notice it. Nat shrugged and followed Kaileena inside, followed by Steve.

Kaileena looked back to see them walking slowly, and here she thought she was old.

"Walk faster, idiots."

second chapter, done! this is literally over 3k words, my hand hurts. this is actually a funny chapter, i wanted her character to be rlly funny and sarcastic but also really powerful.
