𝓚aileena Stark was watching her favorite show when she got a call from a certain Captain America. He asked her if they could meet since they haven't seen eachother in a while and because he needed help with something, she was bored since she didn't have any missions at that time so she accepted and packed her things.

She arrived in the city a few hours ago, she texted Steve a bunch of times but no answer. Rude. So, she tracked him using her powers.

The Stark arrived at the place where she tracked Steve, she found him visiting his own museum. The idiot was wearing a hat to disguise himself, Kaileena was surprised no one recognized him yet because it took her about five seconds to find him. Granted, she had her supernatural senses to make it easier but she barely used them.

Kaileena quietly followed him, she was basically stalking him but that wasn't the point. There were speakers everywhere that spoke facts about Steve, there were pictures of him up on the walls and they wrote facts about him on platforms. She took her phone out and quickly took a picture of Steve that was on the wall. It was him before the serum, little Steve. She laughed and continued to follow the man whose face is all over the room.

Kaileena has never actually visited Steve's shrine palace, she refused to go to these places because she was jealous that she never got her own but stupid Steve did. She was reading and looking at pictures, still keeping an eye on Steve to make sure he won't disappear.

She was currently looking at one of the many posters of him that was made in the '90s. She pursed her lips and walked towards the next platform, she looked at the text and narrowed her eyes.

It was written, 'James Buchanan Barnes'

The name was familiar to her, especially James, but she couldn't quite think of why it was so oddly familiar - that was until a picture of the said man popped up under the text. Once she saw it, she froze.

It was him.

It was the man she grew close to when she was in HYDRA. It was James.

Kaileena just stared at the picture, it was like the world froze. She hasn't thought of him in years and now she just learned that the man whom she grew feelings for was her bestfriend's bestfriend in the '90s. Speaking of her bestfriend, she snapped out of her daze and looked around only to find him gone. Shit.

She closed her eyes and focused on Steve's scent before she found it, she looked back at James' picture before running towards where Steve was. She found him looking at a giant poster on the wall that had him and six other men and outfits were displayed. But that wasn't what she was looking at, she was looking at the man beside Steve. It was James, again.

She wished she was Steve's bestfriend in the 1940s because shit, did James look extremely good there! She was practically drooling at the sight of him right now, it was embarrassing really. She looked at where Steve was standing alone like the loner he is and decided to walk towards him as she stood at his right.

Steve didn't seem to notice her so she hummed which caught Steve's attention, he finally looked at her but she wasn't looking at him. Instead, she was looking at the picture on the wall. Steve almost jumped when he saw who it was, he didn't expect her to be here with him but before he could say anything, she spoke up.

"Do you know who that handsome man is right there?" She asked, still not looking at Steve. Steve looked at where she was looking at and then looked back at her only to see her looking at him.

"I'm pretty sure you're talking to him, Stark." Steve replied smirking. Kaileena scoffed with turned into a laugh and Steve laughed along with her. Kaileena opened her arms wide as Steve gave her a big hug, they haven't seen eachother in a year and it was great to finally be reunited.

"Oh, Steven don't be so cocky now. You're starting to become more like Tony and I do not want that to happen. I don't need two Tony's, I had nightmares of that." Kaileena pulled a horrified face, she actually did have nightmares, she still does.

Steve laughed as he pulled away from the hug, Kaileena was always so unintentionally funny and he loved it, everyone did. "Don't worry, K. I promise that's not happening."

"Good. Now, what are you doing here of all places?" Kaileena asked, crossing her arms as she looked up at Steve.

Steve furrowed his eyebrows, "What do you mean?"

"What I mean is, what the hell are you doing in a place made for you with only a cap on? I thought the serum did something good to your brain not make it worse." Kaileena said sarcastically, gesturing to his terrible attempt to hide his identity as Captain America.

Steve rolled his eyes and chuckled, his arm went around her shoulders and he made them turn around only for their smiles to drop. They were looking at another platform that had information and a picture of James. Steve and Kaileena started walking towards it, Steve didn't know that Kaileena knew Bucky since she never talked about her experience in HYDRA to anyone, no one except her family knew.

"Bucky Barnes and Steven Rogers were inseparable on both schoolyard and battlefield. Barnes is the only Howling Commando to give his life in service of his country." It started showing videos of Steve and Bucky laughing and smiling, it warmed Kaileena's heart seeing James' big smile.

She only wishes that she could see his smile one more time.

         𝓢teve and Kaileena were currently inside of a theater-like room as a video played from a projector. Steve went inside and Kaileena just followed him, the video showed a woman who had short red hair talking about Steve. It was Peggy Carter who was talking, Steve had a look on his face when he looked at her. It was the same one she had when she looked at James.

Steve took out a compass or whatever it was, he opened it and a picture of Peggy Carter was on the top. That is not at all creepy whatsoever. He stared at it for a while before he closed it and placed it back in his pocket.

Both of them stood up and walked out of the room, Kaileena took this moment to ask him about her. "So . . . I'm guessing you knew that Peggy girl, huh?"

Steve looked at her and nodded, "Yeah, uh . . . I did."

"Were you like . . . a thing?" She was always a nosy person so it was her life's purpose to know everything about everything.

"No- yes- I don't really know. We kissed once and I..." He stuttered, trailing off.

"You what?"

"I love her." Kaileena was shocked at Steve's confession, Peggy would probably be a hundred years old by now or dead. She looked at Steve and she knew what he was about to do. She smiled softly at him, grabbing his wrists. "Go."

Steve knew what she was talking about and smiled at her. He kissed her cheek before walking away, Kaileena watched him walk away from her sight as she sighed. Her Stevie was finally growing up, she dramatically wiped a nonexistent tear from her cheek and flipped her long curled hair over her shoulder.

"He's so lucky to have me." She muttered to herself. Steve would crash and die without her, he was so blessed to be friends with her.

She straightened her shirt and got ready to leave but not before walking towards one of the platforms and snapping a picture of James. New character unlocked, Creepy Kaileena. She walked out of the building and to the parking lot, when she got there she went inside her black Aston Martin Victor car and drove away to one of her mansions in New Jersey.

𝓦hen Kaileena got a call from Steve saying that Fury got shot and was in the hospital, she drove to the location as fast as she could. Fury was like her not-so-bestfriend, they got along the most.

When Kaileena got there she didn't even bother to go to the front desk and ask for the room since she already tracked what room Fury and Steve were in. She sped towards the room with the help of her supernatural speed, which was quite fast. She opened the door to see Steve looking at Fury who was currently unconscious as he was having surgery. Steve had a worried look on his face as he placed his hands on the metal border that was surrounding the glass window.

"What the hell happened?" Kaileena asked, looking at Steve. He opened his mouth to answer but before he could say anything, the door opened and Natasha Romanoff came inside of the room in all her glory, she had a panicked and concerned expression on her face as she stopped beside the Stark.

Nat swallowed nervously at the sight of her boss, "Is he gonna make it?"

"I don't know."

"That's rude, Steven. How dare you answer her question but not mine!" Kaileena exclaimed angrily, crossing her arms as she had a frown on her face. Both of them turned their heads towards her, Steve had a straight face on and Nat had a barely visible smirk on her lips.

"Kaileena, not now."

"Hello to you too, Lena."

Kaileena stuck her tongue at Steve before looking at Nat, "Natalia! I didn't know you were here, why didn't you tell me?" She smiled brightly at the former Russian spy who hugged her.

"Well, I could say the same for you. Steve didn't tell me he called you." Nat replied as she pulled away, looking accusingly at the blond male. Kaileena looked at Steve and hit the back of his head which caused his head to jerk forward.

Steve groaned, placing his hand at the back of his head where she hit him, "Ow! What was that for?"

"That was for not telling me about Nat. You're very welcome."

Steve shook his head at her, tired of her foolishness. "Enough. We have to focus on the actual problem here." He gestured towards a very injured Nick Fury.

Kaileena nodded her head and looked back at Fury as did Steve and Nat did, "Right." She muttered.

"Tell me about the shooter." Nat said.

"He's fast. Strong. Had a metal arm." Steve told them.

Kaileena looked at Steve and pursed her lips, "Sounds like you, but not the metal arm part." Steve just nodded, he kept thinking about who that man was. It was weird because he seemed oddly familiar.

Maria Hill came up beside them, looking at Fury. "Ballistics?" Nat asked which made Agent Hill glance at her.

"Three slugs, no rifling. Completely untraceable." Maria informed them. This guy must have been very experienced, Kaileena was extremely interested in this mystery shooter now. She was impressed that he was able to do all this alone and actually got away with it without leaving any traces.

"Soviet-made."

"Yeah."

The four of them witnessed the doctors grabbing those things that are used to help you come back to life if your heart is about to stop working. Kaileena didn't know what the hell they were called, she wasn't the genius in the family, that was Tony.

"Don't do this to me, Nick." Nat whispered under her breath. Steve and Kaileena decided to keep quiet and not say anything.

They placed the two metal things on Nick's chest, a shock came from the machine and to him which made his body shot up. Kaileena looked at the screen that showed his pulse rate but there was nothing, Nick had no pulse. She could feel her heart slowly breaking as tears formed in her eyes, Nick could die right there and she didn't even remember what their last conversation was about.

"Goddamn it, Nick! Don't die, not now." Kaileena whispered, her voice cracking slightly. Steve saw that she was slowly breaking and took her hand, he rubbed circles on it to comfort her and she sadly smiled up at him.

"Don't do this to me, Nick. Don't do this to me."

So far, there was no improvement which made Kaileena lose hope. She let out a sob and looked away, she walked away from the glass and faced the wall. Steve couldn't take it anymore and moved his face to look away, he walked towards a crying Kaileena and hugged her. Kaileena hugged him back tightly as she sobbed on his shoulder, his shirt getting wet from her tears but he didn't mind.

"Time of death, 1:03 AM." She heard a male doctor say which made her cry even more. She had just lost one of her oldest friends, Nick and Kaileena went way back before the Avengers, they were friends. Nick always had a soft spot for the young Stark, she was the only one who could bring a real genuine smile to his face. And now he was gone.

Kaileena pulled away from the hug and sniffled, "Sorry about your shirt, by the way. I'll buy you a new one." She quietly apologized to Steve who softly shook his head and wiped her tears away.

"It's fine, that doesn't matter. It's just water, it'll dry." He told her to which she nodded her head. She moved her hair away from her face and stepped back, she couldn't bring herself to look at the glass or Nick. She was afraid that she might break, and when she breaks it's never a good thing. Her sadness would turn into anger and her tiger side would take over and start taking out her anger on other people which would usually end up with a lot of people getting hurt.

Steve, Nat, and Maria went to another room to say goodbye to Nick, Kaileena didn't want to go and instead called her brother to inform him of Nick's death. She was in the hallway when she took out her phone and clicked on her brother's contact, she held the phone up to her ear and waited for the ringing to stop.

After a while, the ringing finally stopped and the voice of her twin brother filled her ears, "Hey loser, what's up?"

Kaileena smiled upon hearing her brother's annoying voice, "Hey little bitch Edward." Tony noticed that she wasn't her usual happy and sarcastic self which genuinely concerned him.

"What's wrong, Kai? Did something happen? Did someone die- don't tell me Fury died?" Tony said the last part sarcastically, obviously not knowing that he literally just made his sister break once again. She accidentally let a sob slip out and then quickly covered her mouth with her hand to prevent any more cries from coming out.

Tony widened his eyes and immediately regretted saying anything about death's, especially the mention of Fury's. "Oh, God. I'm so sorry Kai, I didn't know." He quickly apologized, he felt really guilty right now.

Kaileena removed her hand from her mouth and sniffled, "It's fine, T. You didn't know and yeah, he's gone." Tony didn't know what to say, for once in his life Tony Stark was speechless.

From the corner of her eye, Kaileena saw Nat come out of a room followed by Steve who grabbed her arm to stop her from walking, it looked like the two of them were in an argument.

"Listen, Tony. I- uh.. need to go. I'll call you later." She told him, starting to walk towards the duo.

"Okay, yeah.. Listen, I'm sorry about Fury. I'll see you soon, love you!"

"Love you too." Then she hit the end call button. She placed her phone in her pocket and finally reached Steve and Nat.

Unfortunately, she was too late because Nat started to walk away. Kaileena looked at Steve and placed her hands on her hips, "What was that?"

Steve looked at her and sighed, "Nothing." He lied. Kaileena had to resist the urge to roll her eyes, Steve was a terrible liar.

Kaileena scoffed and took her hands off her hips, "You're a terrible liar." That was all she said before walking away.

Steve watched the Stark walk away from him, he heavily sighed while looking down. He muttered something under his breath before looking back up to see her gone, both her and Nat.

"That's what Nat said."

   first chapter, done! this one is longer than chapter zero & the next chapter is literally 3k+ words. she's very sadgirl in this chapter but it's only because fury 'died' and they were really close so ofc she'll be a mess. hope you like it so far, don't forget to vote & be active (comment and stuff) !
