Aurelias POV

The moment I woke up I felt butterflies in my stomach. My brain started to come up with a never ending list of questions: How will my first day play out? Will I be too outlandish for them? Should I act graceful or not? How do I act in general?!

What am I thinking? Of course I should! It's only right to have manners at all times.

My butler knocked on the door and asked if his sudden presence was okay. I sighed and asked that the door be opened. "My lady, are you alright?" he asked.

Kyoji comes from a prosperous family in Britain. His first languages were English and Japanese (Japanese parents), but decided to learn other languages in case he needed to discuss important matters with a foreigner. That led to him learning eight different languages which absolutely blows my mind.

"I'm nervous," I said in English. I say little phrases here and there just to make him more comfortable around me, even if it's just a little bit.

He sat down on the edge of my bed next to me. "I remember my first day. I was a hard worker, so everyone jumped to the conclusion I was a suck-up," He was looking at me directly while saying this, but his gaze was empty as if his mind was somewhere else. This made me raise an eyebrow in confusion at what he was trying to get at.

"What I'm trying to say, is that people would want you to act a certain way, but I'm going to tell you not to listen to them. You are your own person and people shouldn't question that about you. You're great, and people will learn that over time."

I smiled at that. I'm pretty sure I have the best butler in the world right now. "Thank you," I said. "You made me feel better."

He checked his little wrist watch and quickly began french-braiding my hair. "You'll be leaving soon. Let me fix your hair so it doesn't look weird," he said.

I rolled my eyes. "I'm grateful for the compliment on my hair-styling skills."

"I'm sorry, my lady. Did I step out of line?" He asked while tying the end of the braid with an elastic. I could feel him tense up a little bit. He shouldn't be like that. I see him as a companion, rather than a butler.

With a laugh, I shook my head, grabbed my backpack, and swung it over my shoulder. I straightened out my uniform and looked in the mirror. "I feel like I would stand out more than the regular students," I said. My white hair clashed against the dark Karasuno uniform. It would definitely be the thing people notice first. I'm probably just paranoid.

"That may be true, but they'll get used to your presence eventually," he responded with a smile. It was as if he was emitting an aura of flowers because of how happy he seemed. It was contagious, encouraging a grin to appear on my face. "It's time to leave, Lady Aurelia."

I looked into the mirror once again and let out the breath I was holding. "Okay.. I got this."

Kyoji quickly got up and opened up my room door while spinning car keys in his other hand.

-

The car ride was too quiet. My nerves were getting to me and I'm sure I was beginning to lose my mind.

We pulled up to Karasuno. Cars were flooding the parking lot, and next to the school was a separate lot to place bikes. I was certain there were more bikes than cars. Are bikes the ideal source of transportation among the people?

Students were stealing quick glances at our car and then talking to their friends. We drove a pearl white 2018 Toyota Century, a luxury car in Japan. I felt like I was in a fishbowl as more people started noticing us. We should've taken the Jeep.

Kyoji drove up to the drop-off section and stopped. "Good luck, My Lady," he said while handing me my bag with all my supplies. He gave me a reassuring glance before gesturing towards the door. "As much as I'm enjoying this moment, you're late for your first class," he deadpanned.

I gasped and slammed the door shut. I flinched at my actions and said, "I-I'm sorry! I'll see you later!" I ran through the school doors and sure enough, the hallways were empty and everybody was seated in their classes. The butterflies came back once I realized I'd have to make some sort of explanation for myself.

The thing is, I missed two weeks of school already because I wasn't really sure when it started. So Kyoji looked it up online and registered me last minute. Because I missed the due date for the entrance exam, I'd have to be in the low-track class. Usually I wouldn't be admitted since I didn't take the exam, but Kyoji is a talented bargainer. I still don't know how he convinced them.

Standing in front of the door, I took a deep breath in order to calm my nerves. Just as I was about to slide the door open, it was opened by the teacher who welcomed me in. "I deeply apologize for my late appearance," I said while bowing. "I'll correct it in the future."

When I looked up at the teacher, she was astonished. For what reason?

"U-Um, class, please welcome our new student," he said. Then she turned to me and asked, "Will you introduce yourself?"

I nodded and walked towards the middle-front of the room. "Hello, I'm Miyano Aurelia! I hope to have a great year with you all. Please bear with me, for I am fairly new to all of this." Looking up, I saw the students were uninterested in me. They just wanted to get the ball rolling so they could get out of class sooner.

"Please sit next to Hinata Shoyo," the teacher said once she realized my introduction was done. "He's the one fidgeting by the window."

I scanned the room and saw him waving enthusiastically at me, while pointing at the free seat next to him. He looks like he'd be able to hop up and fly into outer-space at any given time. He was also a boy.

How do I talk to boys?!

Once I sat down I grabbed my writing utensils and my notebook out of my bag, ready to jot down whatever the teacher was going to tell us. After a while I could feel Hinata's stare was burning the side of my head. I pretended I couldn't feel it and paid attention to what the teacher had to say, but he never stopped.

I could tell he was trying to get words to come out by the quiver of his lips, but it kind of made it awkward for me. It became unbearable, as I was nervous myself. "Is there something on my face?" I asked him while pointing at my forehead. "You keep on looking at me like something's wrong. Please if something is wrong tell me so I could fix it."

His face exploded red and he was a stuttering mess again. "N-Nuh-..Nothing's wrong!" He shouted at the ceiling, which caused the teacher to stop talking and the class to stare at him in confusion.

Some kids were giggling in a corner at my desk partner. I got second-hand embarrassment for him. What compelled him to jolt out of his seat in such a way?

"Hinata, please don't interrupt the class again," the teacher demanded.

He stood up again in attention and bowed at the class apologetically, then sat back down in a nervous sweat.

The class drawled on and we got our assignments for the day. The teacher gave us ten minutes to start it. It was relatively easy, so I finished it quickly.

Hinata on the other hand was having a bit of trouble. "I can help you if you want," I offered. Then, I switched into a whisper and said, "I already know how to speak English, so this assignment was very simple for me."

He widened his eyes and scooted his paper closer to my line-of-sight. "I need help with this one.. I don't know an adjective for pizza," He said, saying the noun in English.

"Cheesy, delicious, terrible, over-cooked, burnt, tasty, et-cetera," I said. "Do you know what those words mean?"

"I know a couple. Thanks!" He said with a bright grin.

I smiled back at him. "No problem, Hinata."

His mouth went agape again then went back to focusing on his work. You could see the cogs turning in his head and smoke emitting out of his ears the entire time.

After a while, we were excused to eat our lunches. I pulled out a gigantic bento, while Hinata pulled out a small wrapped up container. After undoing the wrap, a small floral container was revealed with a homemade sandwich inside of it.

Even though I had the bento with a large assortment of food choices, something inside me said I'd rather have what he's having.

A note fell out of his lunchbox and onto the floor. I picked it up in between my pointer and middle finger, opened it up, and read it (despite my better judgement).

Have a good lunch! Love you ~Natsu

I smiled and held it in front of him. "Awww~ is this from your girlfriend? She sounds nice."

He had his sandwich in front of his mouth when his eyes met the paper I was trying to give him.

He dropped his sandwich to the ground in panic and snatched the paper away from me. "U-U-Uh i-it's not what you think! It's from my little s-sister N-Natsu! I don't have a girlfriend," he said, making the last part much softer so the class doesn't stare at him again. Blood flowed to his cheeks, painting them with a pinkish hue once again.

He scurried to put the crumpled paper back into his pocket. Looking at his desk I noticed something was missing. After getting his attention again, I pointed to the ground where his sandwich was. It was dismantled and splattered across the floor. His expression changed from embarrassed to heart-broken. He had depressing lines down his forehead as his stomach growled in demand for an immediate sacrifice.

I pushed my bento over to him. This was the perfect chance to make him my friend for sure. "You can share my lunch if you want. I hope it isn't too bad!"

He looked at me as if I were sent from above by the gods as the color faded back into his face. He sniffled and thanked me multiple times while he helped himself to some sushi.

"This is amazing!" He said with sparkles in his eyes. "You made this, huh?"

I cowered and scratched the back of my head. "Oh um... no actually." mimicking Hinata's embarrassed expression from before, I looked to the ground and smiled softly. "My butler made it."

He froze once again. His face exploded into a hot mess as he tried to find out what to say. Then, he started choking on the sushi. He ended up swallowing it, but that didn't stop him from fainting.

This can't be happening right now.. Wake me up from this nightmare!

I panicked and tried to wake him up, but that didn't work. "Sensei, I-I believe Hinata needs to be taken to the nurse's office!" I yelled worriedly.

She looked over at him and let out an annoyed sigh like these things happen all the time. "Please take him there yourself. This happens all the time." This made me deadpan. He's a nervous wreck!

I looked down at the boy and slung his arm over my shoulders and proceeded out the door with his feet dragging behind him. Everybody was staring at me and giggling as I made my way across the classroom. How will I explain this to Kyoji?

When I found the nurse's office I knocked on the door and they welcomed me with open arms. They weren't shocked about Hinata's situation and just told me to set him down on the bed. Should I stay here with him? I was never prepared for this kind of situation! Would it be rude to just leave and not ask about his well-being after he wakes?

Glancing towards the window, there was a light that shone through and led my eyes towards a dark green chair fairly close to Hinata.

I can just sit here until he wakes up

--------------------------------------

I have good reason to believe Hinata goes to the nurse's office often. Gets excited and hits his knee under his desk? Nurse. Falls down while walking up to give a presentation? Nurse. Classmates prank him by putting plastic wrap across the door that he directly runs into? Nurse.

Chokes on sushi while sharing lunch with a girl and fainting? Nurse.
