~Four~
Aurelia's POV
Why do we need to wake up so early for school? Isn't it healthier for kids to get more sleep? Especially if kids stay up all night doing homework, then they come to school acting tired and get in trouble by the teachers, accusing them for being lazy! My eyes feel heavy and filled with tired tears. I could barely keep my head up during the lecture so Hinata had to shake me awake every now and then.
The teacher left the class alone for a little, saying he had to go make some copies of the homework. Hinata turned to me and asked, "So are you coming to the club after school today?" He looked at me with glistening hopeful eyes.
"Unfortunately, I'm in the dance club and we're going to be in there for awhile. You can walk me there if you want?"
He tilted his head, dumbfounded. "Really? You dance?"
I felt my soul leap with joy when he expressed interest in my hobby. "Yes, ever since I was a little girl I've been doing ballet," I told him. "It's the only situation where I'm allowed total freedom and can be graceful at the same time without restrictions," I muttered the last part under my breath.
He was still confused about it, and decided to shake it off.
Once the class was over I grabbed my duffel bag from my locker that contained my pointe shoes and leotard, then slung it over my shoulder. I'm going to get dressed ahead of time so I can start dancing right away!
Hinata came and walked me to the club. Outside the doors, you could hear people talking excitedly about the promising new year. "Thanks, Hinata," I said. "I'll see if I could get out a little earlier to see you guys practice!"
"Really?!" He asked in shock and joy.
I smiled at him and gently shut the door.
3rd Person
'Ballet? She does ballet, but not any sports?!' Hinata thought bitterly.
He huffed and looked up at a window that led into the club room. Positioning himself, he bent his legs and got ready to jump. "Ready, and.." He swung his arms and jumped up to grab the ledge of the window, and slowly pulled himself up to view inside.
His eyes bugged out of his head when he saw her. She was in a leotard, stretching in a middle split. Her body was as flexible as a contortionist's! Her legs looked pretty strong too.
He continued to peek into the window, until a voice caused him to let go of it in surprise. He fell to the ground and stumbled onto his but, facing away from the person who startled him.
"Hinata, what are you doing?"
Hinata whipped around and stuttered, "K-K-Kageyama?!" The setter towered over him with a menacing aura, but he himself wasn't conscious of it of course.
"What were you looking at?" Kageyama asked suspiciously. He took in the orange-haired boy's red face and was a little confused about it.
"Nothing! It's... It's nothing!" Hinata said in a panic while standing back up.
The setter raised an eyebrow, looked at the door that said, 'Karasuno Dance Club!' on it, and sighed. "You're a volleyball player, not a ballerina," he said, semi-teasing Hinata yet still keeping his normal expression.
Hinata started crying and tried to claw at Kageyama, who held him away. "Stop teasing me! It's not nice!"
"Shut up, dumbass! They'll hear you-"
A soft buttery voice laced with a hint of concern interrupted them. "-Guys? What's going on? Shouldn't you be at practice?"
Kageyama and Hinata slowly cranked their heads into the direction of the voice. Their eyes met with Aurelia clad in a dark leotard. Kageyama let go of Hinata and bowed apologetically. "Hinata was peeking on you and I tried to stop him," he said. "Sorry, Miyano.."
"HAH?! KAGEYAMA??!!" Hinata yelled. "Y-Y-You just-!"
His sentence was cut off with a deathly glare sent by the intimidating setter. Hinata clenched his teeth together in fear and backed away from him, shaking in his shoes.
Aurelia smiled at Hinata and said, "If you wanted to watch, why didn't you just say so? Will your captain be mad if you stay?"
Hinata knew very well that the captain would be furious for his tardiness, especially if he found out the reason. But, there was no way he could pass up this opportunity. "H-He'll be fine with it!"
Kageyama grew annoyed at his stupidity. Just as Hinata was about to walk in the clubroom, Kageyama grabbed him by the collar and said, "Hinata sucks at volleyball so he needs to practice. He'll come another day."
Aurelia scratched her head. "Oh.. See you guys later then." She backed up and continued, "by the way, call me Aurelia. I have a feeling I'll be growing close with you two in no time! I also don't like the social age-based hierarchical system anyway..."
The slouched as he thought deeply about what she said. "A-Aer-Air-Huh? That's hard to pronounce!" Hinata whined. "I'll just call you Reli!"
It was Aurelia's turn to blush, which was noticeable by both boys. "That sounds... Rather nice actually. Thank you!" She never had anybody call her by a nickname before. This was a huge milestone! Her heart was pounding out of happiness and her azure eyes seemed to glow a little brighter than before.
Kageyama and Hinata looked at each other knowingly. They shrugged and waved her goodbye.
When their faces were away from her line-of-sight, they overheated. Their faces turned a bright shade of red all the way up to their ears. "You saw that too, didn't you?" Hinata asked.
Kageyama didn't respond. He kept his eyes ahead of him and marched robotically to the club room.
