Felix

Again, iIhaven't seen S5, so this probably isn't canon. However, sit back, relax, and enjoy Ladybug and Adrien plotting to outsmart Felix. Vote and comment if you've enjoyed!                                                                                                                 -Colorado

Ladybug prided herself on being a good person. She had never shoplifted in her life, had never cheated on a test, she did not drink or smoke. She was a superhero after all, and she had to be a noble citizen. She was a role model, she couldn't go to jail.

But honestly, she couldn't bring herself to care.

She was going to murder Felix in cold blood.

"Adrien, do you know where your cousin lives?" Ladybug asked, dropping into his room and interrupting piano practice.

"L-Ladybug?" Adrien stiffened, "What are you doing here?" His eyes shifted around the room.

"I need to find Felix, I have made the executive decision that I'm going to murder him." She giggled.

"I would love to help Ladybug, but unfortunately I don't know where he lives. I just know it's in London."

"Then let's go on the Eurostar and find him!" Ladybug declared, already readying her yo-yo.

"Okay? And then what?" Adrien grabbed her wrist. "You can't just go in there and start threatening him, as much as you want to. We can't kill him, either. You know as well as I do that would be impossible."

"I know..." Ladybug muttered. "We would get caught way too easily and then Shadowmoth could take my miraculous."

"Not to mention that would possibly reveal your identity. Ladybug being arrested would make international news, along with it, your identity. You and I both know that, so don't risk it." Adrien lectured, sitting back down on the piano bench.

"But Felix can't get away that easily, Adrien! Because of him, Chat and I are up against Monarch all alone. He has the power of all miraculouses, meanwhile we just have the two of us. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful for Chat's partnership, but Felix has set us back possible years of defeating Monarch. He has to pay." Ladybug said, a fire lighting up in her eyes.

"And I'm not saying that you have to let him get away with it. I'm saying that you have to be smart with it. I hate to admit it, but my cousin is not one that can be fooled easily. He's smart, which means we have to be smart too." Adrien hummed, tapping his fingers to his chin.

"And how are we supposed to outsmart him? He was a genius! He manipulated you and me to get his own way. Because of him, he was able to obtain all of the miraculouses."

"He's not that smart. Don't give him that much credit, LB. The only reason his plan worked is because you were under Risk's control. If you hadn't been weakened, he would've never obtained your yo-yo." Adrien said, giving her a smile.

"He's clever, though."

"But you're even more clever! Think about all of the lucky charms that you had to solve, within less than five minutes. Most times, you can piece together a plan within one. Give yourself some more credit, LB, okay?" Adrien grabbed her hand, squeezing it. "We can piece together a plan, you're not alone in this."

"Okay." She whispered, her brain beginning to think of a million possibilities on how to take Felix down.

"I recognize that look in your eye, I see it on the news all the time. You're forming a plan, aren't you?" Adrien smirked, rubbing his hands together.

"What gave it away?" A wicked grin came over Ladybug's face.

"What are you thinking? And what can I do to help?"

"What if we used his own tricks? He would never suspect it! I'm sure he's expecting some consequences from Chat Noir and I, but why would you be invested? He would have no reason to believe that his cousin knew about what he did. He just assumed that you would think he's still taking your place." Ladybug grabbed his shoulders, a dangerous light shining in her eyes.

"So if I impersonate him, we could maybe trick him into...what? What would we possibly do from there?" Adrien asked.

"I don't think Felix is all evil, why else would he help me and help you? He must have gotten something in return for giving Monarch your yo-yo. If you could impersonate him, we could sneak into his room and try to find what he wanted. If we took it from him, it would give us leverage. Leverage that we could use to interrogate him." Ladybug grinned, a plan forming in her head.

"And we would ask him why he sided with Monarch!" Adrien realized. "And see if there's anything he knows about getting the miraculouses back."

"And also how he knew where to find Monarch in the first place. He obviously didn't know about me giving him the dog miraculous, he didn't even know its powers. So he couldn't have made a deal with Monarch beforehand. Which means he had to know exactly where to find him." Ladybug realized, the insinuation making her skin crawl.

"You think he knows Monarch's identity." Adrien gasped, putting the dots together.

"Think about it! How else would he have possibly found him? Unless he just randomly ran into Monarch, but that wouldn't make much sense. He would've had to know where Monarch was and also that Monarch had whatever he wanted." Ladybug explained, waving her hands around wildly. "That means he has to know where his lair is at the very least. But how could Felix know that? He's only been in Paris twice before while Monarch was around."

"And how could he have gained Monarch's trust in such a short amount of time! Especially considering he's never been akumatized before." Adrien fell back onto his touch. "There's no way he could possibly have found Monarch's lair, otherwise someone would've found it by now."

"I don't think Lila even knows where his lair is, and we both know how much Hawkmoth loves to akumatize her." Ladybug hummed.

"So that would imply that to know the lair..."

"He would have to know his identity." Ladybug finished for Adrien.

"And if he knows his identity, and we hold that leverage above him..." Adrien's eyes widened, sparkling as the plan formed in his head.

"Then he would be compelled to give him up! Felix isn't completely on Monarch's side, because he genuinely helped us with Strikeback. If he was working under Monarch, why didn't he press his ball to my miraculous? Or Chat's for that matter! Chat's miraculous would have been very easy for him to obtain. Or he could've hijacked the mission." Ladybug stood up from the couch, beginning to pace.

"But he didn't! I mean maybe it was all a ploy to get your yo-yo to Monarch, but I don't think so. I know my cousin better than anyone, and he always center's his intentions on himself. I still don't understand why he pretended to be me, but that proves he has a bit of a heart?" Adrien began to tap his chin, a nervous habit he had picked up during his time as Chat Noir.

"Exactly! Adrien, this plan could really work. Even if we don't find out Monarch's identity, we can find out more about why Felix works as he does. And get valuable information on how to take Monarch down." Ladybug grinned.

Ever since Ladybug lost her yo-yo, life had just become monotonous. Nothing mattered to her anymore, nothing but taking Monarch down. Adrien didn't even make her heart go rapid like it used to. She was too focused on taking down someone who she should've taken down long ago. Yet there seemed to be no leads. She knew so little about the man, and unless she had suspicions on his identity, there was nowhere to go. She just had to face every day as it came to her, and hoped that she made it out. But now, sitting on Adrien's couch, Ladybug felt something she hadn't felt in a long time.

She felt hope.

"Yeah, but just one problem, how the hell are we supposed to get to London? You just wanna take the Eurostar? You're a famous superhero, there's no way that won't hit the news. Then Felix would know that we were coming. We can't let that happen." Adrien stood, determined.

"You're right, plus aren't you supposed to still be traveling the world for your ad read?"

"I have no clue. My father figured out I'm still here, and that Felix took my place, but he didn't say anything." Adrien shrugged.

"Wait a minute, if Felix is still in your place, would he even be in London? Where's the first stop on your world tour?"

"You're right! He's still assuming my place as Adrien. Which means that he would be in... hold on, let me look it up." Adrien ran over to his computer, quickly typing in the tour locations. "Well, it looks like it is in fact London, so it doesn't exactly make a difference."

"So if he's in London filming for your shoot, he wouldn't be staying at his house, would he?" Ladybug walked over to place a hand on his desk, leaning over.

"It says here they're staying at The Ritz, and filming there as well." Adrien reported, scanning the article.

"So if he's taking your place as Adrien Agreste, it doesn't look like you need to dress up as Felix after all." Ladybug grinned. "You can just walk in there, and no one will bat an eye."

"Yeah, but how do we get into his hotel room? And how do we make sure he won't realize what we're up to?" Adrien pushed his chair away from his desk, sighing.

"We need a diversion of some sort. That way we can draw Felix away from Nathalie and Lila. Then you can take his place." Ladybug rubbed her temples.

"What if you were the diversion?" Adrien grabbed his shoulders. "He's expecting you to come in, gun blazing, right? So prove him right. He's clever, but he's also egotistical. If you try and prove him right, then he definitely won't think anything else is happening. He'll be too busy gloating about how predictable you are. I would know, because that's exactly what he's done to me."

"So I somehow get him away from the shoot, letting out all my anger, but not murdering the guy..."

"He's gonna be so proud of himself that he won't even think to check on what else is happening."

"Unless he notices Chat Noir's absence and thinks something is up. That would be our one weakness, he wouldn't know where my partner is, and might think he's in the hotel room."

"But that's an easy fix! I'll just call up Chat Noir and ask him to join in. Then Felix really couldn't suspect anything." Ladybug pulled out her yo-yo, trying to call her partner.

"Uh, yeah, there might be a small problem with that." Adrien gave her a nervous smile.

"What's that supposed to mean? Do you and Chat not get along or something? I mean, you two always seemed cordial to each other."

"No, no, Chat Noir and I get along just fine. At least, as fine as a superhero and a civilian can be. That's not what I'm worried about."

"So what is the problem?" Ladybug tilted her head.

"Um, I don't know how to explain this to you without giving stuff away." Adrien played with his hands, trying to think of how to get himself out of the whole he dug.

"Like, Chat's identity?" Ladybug stiffened.

"Yeah, exactly. Let's just say that he won't be able to make it to London. Don't ask me how I know that, I don't want to potentially put you in danger."

"Did he tell you his identity?" Ladybug gripped Adrien's shoulders. "You know what? It doesn't really matter. I suppose I can't be mad at him for confiding in someone." She sighed. "Okay, so he won't be able to make it, which is a problem."

"Because we need to make Felix believe that Chat Noir doesn't play a role. Of course, he doesn't, but Felix doesn't know that."

Adrien ran his hands through his hair.

"I would use the fox miraculous to make an illusion of him, but of course, I don't have the fox miraculous on me!" Ladybug huffed, crossing her arms.

"And we can't stage an attack here in Paris, either."

"Far too dangerous. That happened while me and Chat Noir were in New York. It was a complete devastation to the streets of Paris. Plus, now with Monarch's powers, I don't want to provoke him. It's way too risky."

"So what do we do?" Adrien laid his head down on the chair. Ladybug pressed her hands to her face, deep in concentration.

"Well, we have two options here. We either create an excuse believable enough to fool Felix, or we somehow come up with a way to get him to believe Chat Noir is in London." Ladybug suddenly looked up, her eyes brightening. "I could get Chat Noir to pre-record a message, making it seem like he was in Paris. Maybe he was pretending he was fighting some sort of villain. That way he could fool Felix, but no one else. He wouldn't tempt Monarch that way!" Ladybug stopped her pacing, a plan becoming clear in her head.

"You're right! You can pretend to call Chat for backup and then play the message. That way Felix could believe not only was he about to win, but he could also believe that nothing else was going on." Adrien nodded his head frantically.

"Exactly! You said Felix was egotistical, so if I made him believe that he was about to win it would distract him even more. He would have no clue that you were searching the hotel room just a couple levels above him." Ladybug laughed, her heart suddenly feeling light.

They could win, they could actually win! Felix was the reason why they had lost, and now he would be the reason for their victory. This was so much better than going to jail for muder. Ladybug could take his own tricks, his own ego, and turn it against him. That would be nothing short of poetic justice. He had tried so hard to defeat her and Chat Noir and to let Monarch win. Now, he would do the exact opposite.

And who knows? Maybe somewhere deep inside he had a moral compass and would come to his senses.

"That could work! That could totally work, Ladybug. You distract him with a fight, make him believe he was about to win, ask Chat Noir for help and have him record the message." Adrien began, going over the plan.

"Meanwhile you sneak into the hotel room with Nathalie and search his rooms. Once you find what Monarch traded my yo-yo for, come back to me. I'll actually win the fight against Felix, and then we can interrogate him."

"Chat Noir will be able to meet back up with you at that point." Adrien nodded. "You and him hold the leverage above his head, and learn where Monarch's lair is. Maybe even his identity, too."

"And then Chat Noir and I can invade his lair and use the element of surprise to defeat him. We could at least get a couple of miraculouses back, if not completely take him down. And if we learn his identity, we could make it public knowledge and get the police on his back." Ladybug paced as all the pieces of the puzzle came together.

"But that doesn't solve our original problem, how the hell do we get to London?" Adrien realized, the hope in his eyes dimming.

"We use the Eurostar and disguise ourselves, simple as that." Ladybug shrugged.

"You really think it'll be that simple?" Adrien asked.

"Why not? You've gotten away with it before, and I know a disguise in mind that I can use. Once we get to London, we grab a taxi or use the metro to get to The Ritz. We then find out where Felix is and execute the plan from there." Ladybug grabbed his shoulders. "Adrien, we could actually do this! We could completely pull this off, you realize this, right? We could actually take Monarch down and you would play an essential role in that." Ladybug's eyes shone.

"You really think that we can do this?" Adrien whispered.

"I know that we can. We have both been hurt by Felix's actions, it's time to get our revenge."

The hope in Ladybug's heart was a dangerous one, but she couldn't remember the last time she felt like this. It was bigger than just figuring out a lucky charm, this could completely turn the tides of her battle against Monarch. It could even bring his defeat! Thanks to Adrien, she had constructed a plan that wasn't exactly foolproof, but it was pretty goddamn close. And in times where Ladybug didn't know whether or not she would win against Monarch the next day, she would happily take being close.

Beggars couldn't be choosers, after all. Sure, there were still many small details that Ladybug and Adrien had to work out, but those were small. The main bulk of the plan was done, and Ladybug couldn't have been prouder.

Felix had outsmarted her once before. This time it would be her outsmarting him. He was going to go down, and Ladybug would not rest until justice was served. He had made his mistake by turning over to Monarch's side, and now he was going to pay for it. He was going to betray the one he had trusted, just like he had betrayed her. Ladybug knew she couldn't trust him, but if she held leverage over him, leverage he had gone so far to get, maybe it could work. Besides, she could always give it back to him after she fact checked his information.

"So what do you say, are you in?" Ladybug asked Adrien, already pulling out her yo-yo to call Chat Noir and inform him. Adrien nodded, a light shining in his eyes.

"Let's kick his ass, Ladybug."

Either way, Monarch was going to have a very unlucky surprise when Ladybug and Chat Noir crashed his party. And as Monarch's reign over Paris died, so would Felix.

One way or another, he was going down.

Pretty sure this is one of my latest uploads yet, oops! Still before midnight though, so it counts. This one isn't super ship focused (sorry), but I really wanted to write about felix possibly getting his ass handed to him and the forethought that goes into it. I actually really like Felix as a character and I'm super excited to see what role he will play in the future. Hoped you liked it, even if it wasn't traditional!
