The stone in my lake
I take a stone and throw it in the lake,
A mellifluous sound it does make.
And then it submerges and the ripples move about,
In their pain and agony, they cry out.
Because you are my stone and your memories have submerged into me,
Submerged in my depths where no one can see.
And my ripples gradually stop, they live through their pain,
In my darkest corner your memories remain.
And even after years, towards you I incline,
I couldn't have you but at least your memories are mine.
