"Lisa, why are you up?" My brother Nichkhun asked as he leans on the doorway of my room.

"Don't you have eyes? I'm studying." I roll my eyes.

I hear his footsteps near my desk. "I can see that,but why?" I look up and sees that he is checking his watch. "It's 3 in the morning."

"My nursing exam is in 2 weeks." I tell him.

"Yes exactly in two weeks."

I roll my eyes. "So I have to get everything down."

"What's the leading cause of hyperthermia?" He asked me.

"Dehydration." I replied back with no hesitation.

"What can Sepsis lead to?"

"Sepsis shock."

"How many stages are there for Chronic Kidney Disease?"

"5"

"What is the alcohol limit to consider okay to drive?"

".08%"

"Lisa, you will do fine. Yes continue to study but you need to rest as well." He tells me.

I put my pencil down and pout. "I guess you are right." I look up at my older brother, "I am just nervous."

He ruffles my hair, "I know you are but there is a healthy way of studying and this is not it."

"I know." I finally close my book. "Happy?"

He rolls his eyes, "Not till your in bed"

I stood up with an annoyed smirk and walk towards mg bed. As I adjusted myself, I realized I forgot to ask him something.

"Hey Nicky." I call out. He archs a brow. "I heard dad talking about sending troops to the west side?"

Nick twisted his lips to the side, like he was hesitant to talk about it.

"I'm a big girl now. And after I take my exam I'm one step closer to being a nurse on base. So I can't be afraid of things like this."

I can see my brother being hesitant but he finally sat down on my chair of my desk.

"Yes, we are sending troops to the west side. There's some kind of invasion and negotiation that somewhat spark a fuse."

"Is dad going?" Nick shook his head, I let out a sign of relief. I look over of my quiet brother, "Are you?"

He took a deep breath and stood up. He walk towards my bed. "I don't know yet."

"But-"

"But if I do, it's my job and honor to do it." He cuts me off. "Goodnight Lisa."

"Good night Nicky."

I woke up and ready to head to Jungkook's home and surprisingly I see my uncle home.

"Hey." I greet him with a kiss on the cheek. I look in the kitchen and he had breakfast made. "Wow, you didn't have to do this."

"I know but I been busy with work, I feel like I haven't seen you much and I wanted to have breakfast before my days get crazy again." He explains as he sits down.

"I see." I sat down as well. "How is work? Is everything okay."

My uncle looks up at me for a brief second and in that brief second I see uncertainty. But he smiles.

"You know, things are always unpredictable."

"I understand."

"How's the studying?" He ask.

"It's good."

"Exams is a week and half away." He reminds me. "And you are almost done with bed sitting for Comrade Taehyung right?"

I nod my head without looking at my uncle. "Yes today is the last day."

These last two weeks, it's been a routine. I go to Jungkook house with Taehyung there to keep this secret. I check on Jungkook, give his pain medicine, check his shoulder and even do some exercising. Jennie comes over and help cook since the only person who could really cook was Jungkook and Jennie have been bored.

Jungkook had his days where he was distant and cold but there were days where we played chess peacefully, enjoy watching T.V. together. We would laugh and play cards. There are times where I find myself really enjoying time with him. And there are time we are back at giving each other the cold shoulder.

With Taehyung trying to flirt with Jennie, Jungkook and I spend a lot of alone time together. And there are times where sneak information about each other. Like I found out he played baseball till he was 8 years old, He learned to cook from BamBam's mother and he had his first kiss when he was 10 years old.

I smile at the times we let our guard down.

"I'm about to head out. I probably won't be home till midnight. Order pizza for the night okay?" My uncle interrupts my thoughts.

I gave him a smile. "Okay." And with that he walked out.

I took a few more bites and pack some to take to Jungkook for snacks. As I arrived, like usual Taehyung opens the door and loudly announces that he is home so Jennie can hear.

"Yes Lisa, I Taehyung invite you in —" but he stops mid sentence as Jennie doors opens.

But it wasn't Jennie at the door. It's was her older cousin Jin, glaring at Taehyung. Taehyung now grabbed me and pull me in front of him.

"Oh Jin hyung, you are home today?" Taehyung nervously greets him.

"Yes. Now Jennie did mention how obnoxious you have been but I told her it's normal, well you see because you are annoying." Jin chuckles. "But now that I have witnessed what she is talking about, I have to agree with her." Jin froze and look up as if he was thinking, "what were the words she chose?" He snaps his finger as a light bulb lit up, "Ahh.. yes. Bat shit crazy."

I bit my lips from laughing. I look up at notices all the color in his face drained.

"Umm, I'm going to head inside." I tell the two.

"Taehyung you come here for a second." Jin tells him but Taehyung grips my hand and silently begs me not to leave him. I shook my head, and went inside.

I noticed Jungkook sitting on the couch reading a magazine with a smug look on his face.

"He is finally going to pay." Jungkook tells me once he notices me.

"I guess so."

Jungkook eyes roam towards the bag in my hand. "What's that?"

I put on the table and took out the container, "Food." I tell him.

When I was done, handed him a bowl with rice and eggs, he looked frightened.

"Did you make this?" He nervously asked me.

I rolled my eyes. "No my uncle did. Eat. It's edible."

Jungkook took a spoon full and slowly took a bite, and when he realized it's not bad, he ate more. I went to the kitchen and got him a bottle of water.

"Here." I handed him the water. I check my watch, "It's time for your medicine." I looked around, "where is it?"

"It's in my room."

I got up and went into his room. It's not the first time I been in here but it's my first time being in here by myself. I couldn't help but look around. He had a baseball bat in the corner with a baseball cap on it. Next to his desk, he had a guitar. And on his desk, he had a few pictures. There was one that look like his younger self with a younger looking BamBam. One photo with him and a few of his comrades. One with bamBam and a older couple. And the last picture took my breath away.

It was Jungkook and my brother.

My hands trembles as I touched the photo. In the photo he look like his recent days on earth. I noticed a silver ring on my brother finger. It was the ring I gave him when I found out that he was going to fight in the west side. I look at the back of the photo out of curiosity, and it was my brother hand writing.

"Don't ever feel bad. I chose to do this. Be safe and take care. Have a bottle of Soju when I come back."

For some reason those words didn't seem right to me. It felt like there's some kind of meaning behind his words.

And it wasn't a good feeling.

"Lisa did you find it?" I hear Jungkook calling for me. "Lisa what's wrong?"

I turn around facing him with the pictures of him and my brother together. Jungkook eyes widen at the picture in my hand.

"When was this taken?" I ask him.

"Lisa.. umm, I can explain the photo of your brother and me.

My eyes furrow, "You know he's my brother?"

Jungkook gulps with fear in his eyes. "Yes."

"It had to be the day he left for battle." I tell him. Jungkook nods his head. "What did he mean, he chose to do this?" I ask Jungkook.

Jungkook looks around hoping to escape this, "Lisa let's sit down and talk."

"What did he choose to do?" I asked through gritted teeth..

"Please Lisa?" He begs.

"Tell me Jungkook!" I screamed.

Jungkook looked me in the eyes with remorse and sadness. He sigh out as I felt a tear fall.

"He chose to take my place in battle."
