I was at the spot my brother and I would always run together. This was a special spot for me. Nichkhun would always take me running especially on the days that I felt sad or angry, over stupid things like an ex, a stupid boy, a fight between mom and I or whenever I missed dad. This run to this destination of the beautiful lake would calm me. Especially in the morning as the sun rises, it's beautiful.

Whenever it's family week, this was one of things I looked forward to. Now that I'm here permanently, I get to really feel this place again.

It was one of my personal spot, and no one ever been here...

Well till I met Jungkook.

Speaking of Jungkook. I haven't seen him but I was told he was everywhere. Rose said he has been having lunch with them but only on days that I don't have lunch with them. On the days I don't have lunch with them, is when I have lunch with my uncle.

I think he is purposely avoiding me. Not that I care but people are questioning what was going on between us. Jisoo has been asking me non stop what I think of Jungkook and Rose keeps mentioning Jungkook and then smirking at me.

Even that one nurse Tzuyu caught me alone and asked me if Jungkook and I are friends.

It's weird right?

I was waiting for him for our runs but he stopped coming so I just ran without him. But I do miss the protein shakes that he made.

Oh wells.

I ran back home and got ready for another training day at base. Today the soldiers will be tested a lot on their physical strength, and will need a lot of medical attention. Jisoo thought it would be a good idea to see how the soldiers work and what is the main reason they seek medical needs.

I walked to base since it was a 10 minute walk. I walked to the medical center to check with Jisoo, so she can tell who I will be working with today and which group I will be observing.

"Good morning Lisa! I hope you got some good rest, because it's going to be hot a day." Jisoo smirks.

I quirk up a brow. "What do you mean?"

Jisoo shook her head. "Nothing darling, you will find out eventually." She grabbed some papers and observed it. "Hmm, you haven't worked with nurse Tzuyu very much, have you?" I shook my head. "Well she will be with Rose today, so you will be with them.. and they will be observing Sargent Namjoon's team." Jisoo smirks, "Well I guess I'll be with you too."

I got my notepad and walked to find Rose. I couldn't find her so I went to look for nurse Tzuyu. I found her and a few other nurses talking at a table.

"Good morning nurse Tzuyu, I'll be with you and Rose." I bow to her.

Tzuyu raises a brow, "I heard you were some kind of badass. But you don't seem mean at all."

My lips went into a straight line. "I'm here to learn." Was all I said.

She nods her head. "We should be going. I'm sure Rose is already watching him."

Him?

I follow Tzuyu to the course where Sargent Namjoon and his comrades are training. They were just exercising at the moment. I noticed Rose on the bench in her scrub and shades watching the group of men. My eyes wandered to the comrades and my eyes widened as I noticed Jungkook doing push up. His shirt clung on to him as he sweats and the way his jaw clenched as he got up.

My cheeks flushed at the sight of him—
I mean of all the men.

"Told you it's going to be a hot day." Jisoo's voice startled me from behind.

"Yah. Where did you come from?" I place my right hand over my heat.

Jisoo eyes stayed glued to me as she shrugged, "I told you I was coming. What do you think?"

"About what?"

Her eyes zoomed into me. "About the boys. That Jungkook comrades is a good eye candy."

My mouth agape. "I thought you and Sargent Namjoon was something."

"Was." She starts off, then rolls her eyes, "it's complicated. But that doesn't mean I can't admire soldiers. Hell they all are hot."

Both Jisoo and I heard someone clearing his throat next to us. We both turn to our right and Sargent Namjoon was there glaring at Jisoo.

"Doctor, is this how you train new nurses?" Namjoon questions.

Jisoo rolls her eyes, "I told her to observe and that's what we are doing. Don't you think your mean are hot working in this heat? You must have misunderstood." Jisoo gave him a sarcastic smile, "If you would excuse us, we have more observing on the men who are doing something."

Jisoo grabs my shoulder and walks towards Rose and Tzuyu. Rose shook her head and smirks.

"You are really going to be the death of that man." Rose tells Jisoo as we all watched Sargent Namjoon stomping his way to his comrades and started yelling.

He was screaming out how sloppy their push up and when they finish they look like tired cowards. To prove a point Namjoon did push up while everyone watched him with confused eyes.

"Let him work. It would be a good sight to see." Jisoo smirks.

I couldn't help but admire Jisoo. She was a real work, nothing from what I thought.

As the men workout and do their laps, Rose explained to me, most of the men's problem is that they don't hydrate at the right time.

"It's been two hours and they did 50 push ups, 100 burpees, 100 sit up, 150 squats, and 10 laps of the 800 meter track. That's 5 miles!" Rose shook her head. "And I have only seen 3 boys take one water break."

I know what she means. The men looked exhausted and yet none of them stop and took a water break, a decent one. It's not really hot, there is still a good breeze but still the sun is at its highest and it's going to get worse as it sits up there.

My eyes kept going to Jungkook. He noticed I was there when he walked towards the track. We made eye contact for a second but he looked away without a second glance.

It was like he was mad at me. Like I did something wrong? The nerve of that man. He spilled water on me, when I last recall our moment. Shouldn't I be mad? I decided to ignore his childish act and just observe.

Namjoon blew his whistle which grabbed all out attention.

"We will be doing the obstacle course now. You have 30 minutes to train individually, then we will be split into two teams and race. After that we will be competing in another group." Namjoon got his whistle to blow to dismiss them but Jisoo walked towards them without us knowing and grabbed the whistle out of his mouth.

"Not before you men take a 30 minute break and drink some water and rest!"

The six soldiers standing in front of Namjoon eyed Jisoo with hesitation.

"And that's an order from the head doctor of camp Lathua." Jisoo voices went low into a demand.

The men did their salute and dispersed towards the water area which was next to us. Rose, Tzuyu and I watch Jisoo having an argument on the side. Jisoo isn't wrong but I'm sure Namjoon felt disrespected.

"Comrade Jungkook, do you need a towel?" Tzuyu was next to Jungkook as he drank some water.

He nodded his head and took the towel from her. He gave her a smile and she continues to stand there watching him like a creep.

Rose was gone from my side attending to Jimin and Jennie's older cousin Jin. I decided to check on the three men who were sitting and drinking water. I walk up to them.

"Lisa." It was Taehyung who greeted me. I spoke to him couple of times because he would always ask about Jennie.

"Hello, is there anything you men need?" I ask them.

"No. But thank you." Hoseok replies.

"How's the learning going?" Yoongi asked me.

I smile, "It's going good. Books don't help as much as hand on learning." I explained.

The boys laughed.

"This weekend, we are headed to the bar on 2nd street. Want to join?" Taehyung ask me.

I gave him a raised brow. "Are you asking me to go or bring Jennie?"

His cheeks flushed in embarrassments. "Well you will go regardless right?" He asked me.

"Jungkook is going." Jimin said as he walked towards us.

My eyes subconsciously went to his and his eyes were already on me. We didn't look away immediately but eventually I did first.

"Well I'll have to see. I have a lot of studying to do. I'm really behind." I explained.

"Youngjae said you were really smart and a fast learner." Jin said out of nowhere.

"Oh your friends with comrade Youngjae?" Yoongi asked.

"Well I think Youngjae has a little crush on her." Jin smirks.

Rose stood next to me with an awkward smile.

"I think Youngjae and Lisa would look good with each other, don't you think Jungkook?" Tzuyu asked Jungkook.

Jungkook stood there not looking at anyone. His eyes were on the cup in his hand. Everyone was confused with his silence. He finally looked up and his eyes went to me.

"I think we need to stop talking about Lisa's personal matter like she isn't here." He rolls his eyes and walks away.

"What the hell was that?" Yoongi asked.

I followed Jungkook with my eyes as he went beside Namjoon and Jisoo. They spoke some words, and he walked away. Namjoon said something to Jisoo, who turned to me with a sad smile.

What is going on? Why do I feel like there is something going on and I'm the only one who doesn't know.

I shook off the unsettling feeling and checked on the men's pulse and heartbeat, just a formality training. After their time up, they went to do their course. Jungkook showed up on time and lined up with the other soldiers. They did their individual workout, and it was interesting to watch them easily climb a wall with no string, how self paced but fast as they crawl in the mud under the net, and jump over each wood.

My brother showed me some small tips on each but I never fully saw him train like this. I respect men in soldiers because we should but watching it, it's a whole new respect for them.

It was now splitting the men into two groups. Taehyung, Jin and Yoongi on one team, Jimin, Hoseok and Jungkook on the other team. Jisoo, Rose,and Tzuyu were cheering them on and it was fun to watch and cheer with them. Jungkook's team was slightly behind but Jungkook got them caught up and next to the team.

The adrenaline in me had a rush as they had to climb the wall. Calling Jungkook's name unintentionally, it just happened when he was about to jump down the wall to win the race, but something happened when I called his name.

He looked up at me. And when he did, his hand slipped and he made him stumble and fell down from the top of the wall. My heart stopped for a moment as he landed on the ground with his back.

Everyone rushed towards him and Jisoo ordered the men to get him in the medical tent. He looked fine but his eyes were opening and closing like he was looking cautious.

When we were in the tent, all the boys left and left us with the nurses. They question did anything hurt but he didn't answer. He held on his right abdomen.

"His ribs!" I said out loud.

The girls turned to me then back to Jungkook.They took off his shirt and sure enough it was a huge bruise.

"We are going to have to do a X-ray and CT scan to make sure you have no broken bone or a concussion." Jisoo tell him.

He nods his head.

"While I get the order in, we can give you medicine for the pain." Jisoo tells him.

He shook his head. Which made Jisoo shake her head.

"You soldiers are damn stubborn." She mumbles. "Tzuyu, go do the accident report, Rose informs Namjoon and Lisa change him into a gown please."

The three girls left, leaving me with Jungkook. He was in pain, that I can see. I went to get a gown and help him, but he grabbed my hands.

"I can do it." He groans out.

I scoff, "You can barely stand. Let me help you." My hands went to the button of his pants

"No!"

"Don't be a baby. It's my job." I tell him and reach for his pants again. But stopped me. I signed out, "Then would you take the pain meds." He shook his head. "Then let me do this."

He looked me in the eyes. In the midst of his pain, he stopped and observed me. His eyes soften and relax a little, and nod his head. I undressed him and put him in his gown. It was a moment of silence when I was on my knees to take off his pants but other than that, he was too much in pain to feel awkward.

I helped him get on the wheelchair. We were very close and I could his eyes on me throughout the whole time. The hair on my skin shivered at his stare. When he was finally in the chair, we were face to face and I felt his breath on my cheek. That's how close we were.

"Okay, are you ready Jungkook?" Jisoo asks as she enters the tent.

I got up and turned to Jisoo. "He is ready." I tell her.

Jisoo's eyes went back and forth to me and Jungkook. "Are you two okay? You two look flushed. Is it hot in here?" Jisoo looked around for the thermostat.

"No, we are fine. I'm ready to go." Jungkook tells her.

That's when Jimin came in and wheeled him out.

"Lisa, go with Tzuyu so you can see how we do accident reports." Jisoo tells me.

My heart dropped a little that I couldn't go but I nod my head and went to find Tzuyu.
