Chapter 40 - Stranger.

"Really Channie?" The older woman asked with a hint of amusement in her voice. "They did that?"

The said boy nodded. He looked really ecstatic as he rambled on how Jongin and JinHee were faring. "Mom you wouldn't believe but they almost Kissed!" a very excited Baekhyun shouted from the other end of the couch.

Mrs Kim had a proud smile on her face. She was trying hard not to tear up. She couldn't believe her Only Son had grown up.

"Really??!" She asked excitedly.
"That's good then!"

"Yes. And I think JinHee likes him too" a very tired Chen said as he raised his head up from his phone.

The trio were hanging out in Jongdae's mansion when Mrs. Kim called. Her main purpose of calling was to ask how they wanted their tuxedo to be. They had to attend a Christmas ball soon and since Jongin's Mom is a fashion designer she decided she'd be the one to make their suits this year.

But amidly, the tuxedo topic was abandoned immediately Chanyeol remembered he had to give her reports on the soon to be couple - at least that's what he wants them to be.

"That's great then!" Mrs. Kim smiled as she watch the boys from her laptop's screen, an evil yet sweet smile ghosting her face.

"Then I guess its time" she spoke up with a smirk.

The three boys raised their heads and looked at the screen with raised brows.

"Time for what?" Chanyeol that was the first to process what she said asked with a clueless face.

She looked at her screen with a glint of mischief in her eyes and an evil smirk .

"Time for me to meet my son's future girlfriend".

It was a beautiful morning. The sun shining, the birds chirping melodiously, the flowers and grasses dancing happily with the wind. It was very peaceful and calm as JinHee made her way to the cafe.

She was humming softly to the song playing from the ear plugs the were attached to her ears as she moved away from her apartment gate.

She wasn't really supposed to be going to the cafe at that time as she was on Evening shift but today she decided to change shifts due to the holidays.

She had requested last weekend to manager Minhyun for a change of shift with the reason that it was the holidays and she'd love to spend her afternoons /evenings at home. The said requested letter had been forwarded to her almost immediately after she sent it, making her raised her brows as she read it.

The letter was from Kim Minhyun, her Manager, telling her that any shift she wanted was fine with him and that he won't mind if she changed shifts everyday as long as she informs him first.

She smiled as she read the letter - Manger Minhyun who is the older brother of Minseok a.k.a Xiumin was and has always been kind to her. He treats her specially and she had a hunch that it is because she's a friend to his brother that she's getting the special treatment but nevertheless she was enjoying it.

She heaved a sigh and adjusted the strap of her bag when she saw the cafe.

She enjoys working in the cafe as much as she enjoys hanging out with the boys.

Speaking of the boys, she sighed as she thought of them.

She hasn't hung out with them for a while now. They've been so busy attending parties and conferences that they haven't seen each other in a while. They even had to cancel their planned holiday trip because of their schedules.

The last time she saw or even heard from any of them was on the day she went to Sehun's house. It's been almost two weeks now and she couldn't deny the fact that she was missing them.

She sighed for the nth time as she crossed the road opposite the cafe.

As she was crossing she noticed little flakes of white soft things coming down from above, she looked up and saw that it was snowing.

She mentally thanked Jihyun for reminding her to wear warm clothes as the weather forecaster had advised.

She adjusted her scarf that was hanging loosely around her neck.

It was few days to Christmas and the weather has been calm.

She wasn't a fan of Christmas but for an unknown reason she was excited for this year's.

Maybe it was because Jihyun's birthday was coming soon or because the boys had promised to hang out with her on that day. Either way she was really excited.

She wondered what she was going to get for Jihyun as his birthday gift. Last year she had gotten him his dream Gucci shirt but this year she didn't really know what he'd like.

Her thoughts were interrupted by her body colliding with something or rather someone's causing her and the person to lose their balance and fall on the ground that was covered with snow.

She hissed in pain from the impact and closed her eyes.

"Sorry" a very feminine voice apologized.

JinHee opened her eyes and was met with the warmest shade of brown she's ever seen.

Her eyes widened as she realized that the person that had bumped into her was an elder woman.

"I'm so sorry" she hurriedly stood up and helped the woman up.

The woman who looked like someone in her late forties or mid 50 gave her a small smile as she stood up.

"Its okay" she brushed the snow off her expensive jacket.

"No, its not okay "JinHee retorted as she eyed the woman. She noticed her features were similar to someone she knows but she couldn't fathom who the person was at that moment. "I wasn't looking at where I was going and I bumped into you. I'm so sorry" She bowed her head causing her hair to fall over Her face.

The woman looked at her with a smile. "Its okay sweetie" She raised the younger female's head and tucked the fallen strands of hair behind her ears. "It was only an accident" She patted her hair with a small smile.

JinHee gaped at her smiling face for about a minute. This woman was drop dead gorgeous, her smile was enchanting. her gaze on her was soft and she wondered why the woman was looking at her like that.

JinHee looked at the woman's hand on her head and she was suddenly reminded of her mom.

She slightly closed her eyes as the woman softly stroked her hair.

It was weird how she was enjoying this stranger's pat on her head.

She swallowed the lump that was forming at the back of her throat as she remembered how her Mom had done the same thing for her in the past.

She missed the feeling of being patted in the head, even though Jihyun would pat her head when she wakes up from her tragic nightmares, it wasn't the same.

"I see you enjoy this" the woman spoke up snapping her from her thoughts. She jerked away from the woman's hand and bowed apologetically at her.

"It's okay " The woman spoke. She moved towards her and touched her shoulders. JinHee raised her head and looked at her.

"You're a very kind girl." she said with a smile. "What's your name?"

"JinHee" She wasn't the type to tell her name to strangers but she just felt the need to. She feels like she's know this stranger for her whole life.

"JinHee" the woman repeated."what a pretty name for a pretty girl" JinHee blushed at this.

"I would love to talk to you more but it seems as if you're late to work" this made JinHee's eyes widened. She glanced at her watch and cursed internally.

Manager Minhyun wasn't strict to her when it comes to punctuality but she has her own principles to keep.

The woman laughed at her panicked face. "You should get to work now"

"It was nice meeting you JinHee"

"The pleasure is mine Ma'am" She answered.

The woman nodded. "Alright".

JinHee nodded and bowed before scurrying away to the direction of the cafe.

"See you text time JinHee!" She shouted.

JinHee turned around just in time to see the woman enter into a sleek Mercedes Benz that has been waiting for her the whole time.

She watched the Mercedes drive off with scrunched brows.

"If that Car was waiting for her, why then did she walk?"

She brushed it off and rushed into the cafe.

"Maybe, just maybe the car hadn't been there all this while"

She rushed into the already filled cafe, bowing at the customers as she moved into the Kitchen where manger Minhyun seem to be addressing the team.

"Sorry I'm late" She bowed multiple times. He snapped his head away from the guy he was lecturing and turned to JinHee.

He gave her a smile as he looked at his wrist watch "you're just a minute late JinHee. Its okay"

"Oh." JinHee Mumbled under breath.

"Yes. Now get to work".

She nodded and rushed towards the Changing room.

"Yes Oppa".

Meanwhile EXO.

"As a heir to a business conglomerate, you're expected to------"

The boys were all close to dozing off on their seats as the man blabbed on what they're expected to do and what they're not as a chaebol.

The beagles were in the own world as Chen and Baekhyun were annoying Suho that was the only person interested in what the man was saying.

Chanyeol on the other hand, had his chin resting on his palm as he watched Kai sleep.

Kris and Xiumin were also like Suho- they were trying to pay attention to what the teacher was saying but The two maknaes beside them had plans of their own.

Sehun and Tao were exchanging letters from across the table, Xiumin and Kris who were sitting in the middle of both boys were so close to Losing it.

If you looked a little bit to their left you'd see a very sleepy Lay, next to him is D.O who is wide eyed but was not paying attention. He was glaring daggers at Baekhyun and Chen that were kicking his legs from beneath the table. The duo had abandoned Suho when he sent them a glare and retorted to just annoying Kyungsoo who was listening.

At the Middle of them all is Luhan who's the most bored of them all, he was staring at the teacher with pleading eyes.

"Seongsanimmmm~~~~" he whined for the nth time today, cutting the Teacher from answering what Suho had asked.

"LuHan" the man said sternly.

"Pleaseeee" he pouted.

"No".

"Pleasee---"

"No. Now if you'll excuse me" the teacher turned and got back to explaining the levels of classification of hierarchy in a company.

Luhan cussed inwardly as he plumbed down on the seat with a pout.

"Management lesson is worst than maths class" A voice that sounded like Sehun mumbled from across the table.

"I know right" Luhan mumbled.

They were supposed to be at home sleeping their asses out right now but because of what the havoc they created at the dinner they attended last night, their parents gave them the punishment of attending Management lessons. Knowing fully well how much their kids dreaded that class.

Luhan looked around the room boredly, he laughed as he watched Sehun and Tao disturb the two hyungs beside them, his gaze moved to Lay that was on the verge of sleeping and he smiled. He raised his brows as he watched D.O glare daggers at the boys across him, Chen and Baekhyun had teasing smiles on their face as they annoyed D.O. He tsked and moved to Suho that was jotting down what their teacher was saying.

"He's very no fun" he mumbled under his breath. He wondered how Suho could still concentrate in this hour.

He looked at Chanyeol beside him that was still looking lovingly at Kai with his chin on his palms and rolled his eyes.

"What a love sick fool" he mumbled under his breath.

He nudged chanyeol with his elbow, startling the tall red haired.

"What?" The red haired asked him.

Luhan gave him a disgusted look and gestured with his chin at the sleeping brown haired.

"Just marry him already"

"I will, if he agrees" he answered nonchalantly.

Luhan opened his mouth in fake shocked manner.

"Why am I not surprised? " he asked the red haired.

"Hyung are you jealous?" He gave the younger male a 'wth' look and rolled his eyes.

"Idiot" he mumbled under his breath as he looked at the teacher.

"I can't do this anymore" he mumbled.

He bounced his legs up and down, moved his chair backwards and forward, turned his chair around boredly as he watched Mr.Nam mumbling incoherent words.

His gaze moved to the still sleeping brown haired beside him and he wished he could sleep as him.

He looked around and saw everyone doing their own thing, even Suho, Kris and Xiumin were no longer interested in the lecture.

A smile crept on his face.

At least he isn't the only one bored.

When they couldn't take it anymore, They eyed each other. Kai had woken up and was looking pleadingly at Suho.

"This is really frustrating" he whined at the older male.

Suho sighed and raised his hands up.
"At the count of three" he whispered.
The rest all nodded with smiles on their faces. .

He took a deep breath and counted with his hands "1.. 2... 3"

"Hyunnnnnnnggggggggg~~" They all whined.

The Teacher looked at them with a dejected sigh.

"No" he said sternly.

"Hyunnnggggggg" the continued.

"Jebbbbaaaallllllllll" Sehun and Tao added being extra cute.

The teacher sighed with his eyes closed. The boys all had smiles on their faces as the knew that they had won.

Mr Nam opened his eyes and eyed the boys who were giving him puppy look.

"Alright. Alright. You can---"

The boys didn't even Allow him to finish, they all packed their stuffs and scurried out of the class.

"Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. Those kids" the teacher commented as he packed his teaching materials into his back and switched off the projector.

The boys ran out of the room into The living room. They were in Luhan's Mansion.

"Whew! Finally! " Luhan commented as he dropped on the huge sofa.

"I thought I was Going to die of boredom there" Sehun added.

"What boredom?" Kris asked with an annoyed tone " I couldn't even concentrate because of you two!" He whined. The two maknes stuck out their tongues at him with a peace sign.

"Argh!" He grabbed his hair. The whole room roared with laughter as they all watched Kris throwing tantrums like a two year old.

"So what should we do today?" Xiumin asked.

"Its been long we had a free day" Lay added.

Maybe we should go to the spa for a hot bath and a massage" Suho suggested as he massaged his neck. "My whole body is stiff and sore and--"

"We get the point hyung" Tao cut him off.

The boys nodded at his suggestions. They couldn't deny that daily conferences and parties and Meeting were tiring and they needed a massage.

"Sure let's go!" Baekhyun shouted and stood up.

"But I want to sleep" Jongin whined as he snuggled further into the couch.

"You've slept enough for today" Sehun answered. He dragged Kai up by the collar of his shirt.

"But I want to sleep more!" Kai whined. The boys rolled their eyes at him and they all together assisted Sehun in dragging Jongin up.

The all succeeded in dragging him out of the house towards the car park where a Van seemed to be waiting for them.

"Is everything okay there?" The teacher that was making his way into his car commented as he watch the boys drag a whining Jongin into the car.

"Yes seongsaenim hahaha" Beakhyun answered with a nervous laugh.

"Have a nice day hyung!" they all shouted as they walked passed him.

The teacher looked at them weirdly. He shook his head and entered into his car.

"Those rascals"

"So who's driving?" Luhan asked as they settled into the Van.

A series of Suho hyung echoed through the Van.

"Yah! Why me? " Suho whined as he moved towards the drivers seat."why didn't you say Kris or even minseok hyung or Luhan or--"

"Shut up and drive hyung" Baekhyun sassed.

"You're all mean" Suho pouted as he turned on the ignition. Kris that was beside him on the passengers seat patted his shoulders in a reassuring way. But that didn't do any help to the sulking Suho.

After about 2 minutes of the ride, the van got quiet, probably because they were all tired and sleepy.

Luhan that was at the back was looking at his previous chat with Jinhee on his phone, he scrolled up and stooped at where he told JinHee not to wear anything fancy that Jongin wasn't going to be there that day. A smile ghosted his face as he remembered seeing her drool because of Jongin's hotness.

His smile turned into a frown as he realized that he hasn't seen her for a while now.

"I miss JinHee " He mumbled under his breath. He locked his phone and pocketed it. He closed his eyes and waited for sleep to Come.

Meanwhile, Jongin that was sleeping beside him heard the whole thing. His heart skipped a beat as he heard Her name but when he realized who was saying it, He became furious.

He was Jealous.

"Aish"

He clenched his Jaw and fist and closed his eyes pretending as if he didn't hear any of what his pretty face Hyung had said.

It was few minutes past three and JinHee was making her way home from work.

She massaged her neck as she walked. Since the weather was a bit cold today, the cafe was busy with never ending customers.

She yawned as she walked towards her apartment. For an unknown reason, she was feeling tired and sleepy.

She crossed the street with droopy eyes and moved towards her apartment gate. She moved toward the elevator and pressed her floor's number.

With her almost closing eyes, she got out of the elevator and walked towards her apartment. She pressed the door bell and waited but nobody answered the door. After a few tries she gave up and retorted to just opening the door.

"Where the hell did Jihyun go to?" She asked herself as she typed in her pass code.

She heard a click and she sighed in relief.

She was about entering into the house when someone covered her eyes with their palm startling her.

She almost cursed out loud in fear but she bit her tongue and stood still.

Praying for it not to be a kidnapper. She breathed in and out and the scent of the person whiffed past her nose.

As the familiar scent hit her, She almost screamed at the person that had almost given her a heart attack but she kept calm and waited for the person to withdraw his hands.

The person turned her around and whispered......

"Guess who?".

Guess who's back??? Meeeee... Whew! I missed y'all.....

Sorry for the late update, I had exams so yeah buttttttttttt don't worry exams are over and I'll be able to update frequently so... Expect more updates from next week.
