Ross's POV

I survived with Ty by my side for days. Or maybe weeks. However,as long as we had each other it was okay. We always worked together and had each other's back. He was possibly the best thing in this fucked-up place. Next to food of course. It's hard to find. We made our lives good enough to be at least a little happy everyday. But today was diffrent. I wanted to talk to him, but something told me to keep my mouth shut. Ty was quiet too. We were walking,as we did everyday, trying to find a good shelter. I looked at Ty. He looked cold. Just yesterday,he was a happy dude but now,he looked like a completly diffrent person.

I turned around quickly when I heard a weird creepy noise. It was like some sort of echo but really freaky and scary. "T-ty?" I whispered in fear. "Stay close to me," he ordered. The weapon that we had wasn't much. Only one spear Ty had. He held it in his hands and kept on looking around him. I sticked closed to him,my eyes searching for any kind of danger. Then the danger showed its face. But it didn't really have a face. It was some weird purple smoke and it was making the samenoise we heard before. It was coming closer and we were taking slow steps back. Ty turned to me. "Run," he hissed. "Are you crazy? I won't leave you here!" I protested. Suddenly Ty clenched his teeth in pain. The fog was swirling around his leg. "RUN!" he ordered. The fog swirled around his other leg as well, causing him more pain.

I turned around and ran. I didn't know or care where I was going. I felt tears in my eyes,I was leaving my only friend here. I heard a yowl of pain behind me. Ignore it I told myself. I didn't stop running but the further I went the harder it was to leave him behind.

It's been a few days since I left him. I tried doing excatly as we did everyday. Finding food and shelter. I even made myself a weapon so I could catch animals. But it wasn't the same without him. It felt so lonely. 

I saw a movement on my left. I hid behind some brambles. There was a small rabbit. Those are rare I thought. I preapered myself for a good run with my knife in my hand. I jumped out of the bramble and chased it. But only after a few steps something jumped on me and pinned me on the ground. "Get off me!" I shouted, not bothering to see who it was. "And who are you?" the cold voice calmly said. "JUST GET OFF ME!!!" I shouted again and looked at him. "Oh you're just a poor lost kid," he simply said. I saw another figure walking towards us. This one looked less... evil....

"Hawkfrost?" the guy asked "Who is this?"

"Just a poor kid," the guy,obviously named Hawkfrost replied. "Not a kid," I hissed. The third person walked in the clearing. She was a girl. She didn't looked at me,her eyes were foccused on Hawkfrost."Did you forget evey normal human here is our friend Hawkfrost?" she asked calmly. "Thanks to him we lost our rabbit," Hawkfrost hissed. The second guy sighed and looked at the girl. "I guess we're eating berries again," he said. Hawkfrost got up and offered me his hand. I carefully got up,not wanting his gross hand. But he was sexy. "What's your name kid?" he asked. "I'm Ross." I said carefully. 

"Well Ross." Hawkfrost said "We didn't have a bright start but you're a human so you're staying with us now. I'm Hawkfrost and these are Lara and Supah." he said, pointing at the other two.
