Training

"We need to be prepared," says Uncle Donny. "We never know when Tanya could strike again." We all nod in agreement. "Well, at least we have a plan now," says Daddy Douglas. He walks over to me and sets his hand on my back. "Thanks to my brilliant daughter," he adds, smiling brightly. I smile and feel myself blushing, "Thanks, Daddy." He smiles and hugs me, and all the while Chase has his arm around my waist. Daddy rolls his eyes at Chase and walks over to Uncle Donny. "Yes," Chase agrees. "Thanks to Lyrica, we have a possible solution to defeating Tanya." He looks at me and smiles. I grin at him and he blushes, causing me to giggle. I give a dreamy sigh and look away from Chase. "Well, how do we prepare," I ask. "We train," Uncle Donny replies. Bree smirks, "Well, what are we waiting for? Let's train harder than we've ever trained in our entire lives."

"RUN! RUN FASTER THAN YOU'VE EVER RUN IN YOUR ENTIRE LIFE!"

I glance often at my poor little Chase trying to run as fast as he can around the training area while Uncle Donny screams obnoxiously at him. I try to focus on punching the punching bag in front of me, but I can't with all of the screaming, especially when my Little Genius is the one being screamed at. I stop punching the bag and walk over to Uncle Donny. "All right, wait a minute, wait a minute," I say, loudly. "Hold the phone! Hold the phone! Hold the friggy diggy phone!" Don't ask. I've been spending a lot of time with Leo.

Chase stops running and falls to the ground, panting loudly. I squeal fearfully and sit on my knees by his side. "My poor, poor baby," I say, patting Chase's back and kissing him on the cheek. "Lyrica, don't baby him," Uncle Donny groans. "He needs to toughen up!" I look at Uncle Donny and roll my eyes. "You need to loosen up," I say. Donald scoffs, "Go train!" I stand up, fold my arms, and stay right where I am. Uncle Donny rolls his eyes, "Fine, I'll be nicer." I smile and stand up, gently pulling Chase up with me. "Good," I say. "Because if I catch you pushing him too hard again, things aren't going to go well." Uncle Donny puts his hands up in defeat, "Okay, okay. I'm sorry, Chase. And I promise that I won't be too harsh, Lyrica."

I nod, satisfied, "Good!" I turn to face Chase and kiss him sweetly on his lips. "I love you, Little Genius," I say. "I love you, too, Princess," he says back. Suddenly, everyone in the training area groans. Chase and I look at them, confused. "What," I ask. Leo groans, disgusted, "Will ya cut back on the PDA? We all kind of wanna keep our lunches in our stomachs." I roll my eyes and look at Chase, who is blushing beet red. I giggle, ruffle his hair, and rest my head on his shoulder. Later, I do some bionic vocal exercises:
Do
Re
Mi
Fa
So
La
Ti
Do
Ti
La
So
Fa
Mi
Re
Do

Daddy Douglas stands in front of me, shielding himself with a metal shield as my bionic sound waves slowly push him back. Soon, his back is up against the wall and he is practically mashing the shield to his face. I smirk and blow on my fingernails. "And that is how it's done," I say, flipping my hair. Daddy uncovers his face, shaking. "W-well...s-sweetie," he says, shakily. "G-great job!" I cringe at realizing that I might have hurt him. "Whoops," I say, gently pulling him away from the wall. "Sorry, Daddy!" "Oh, that's all right, sweetie," Daddy says. "I'm just a little shocked, that's all." I smile sheepishly.

Then I jump when I hear a distinct, high pitch, girlish shriek. I turn around to see Leo being clobbered by a...shark stuffed animal? Oh no. Leo has a huge fear of sharks. I suddenly realize that Adam is the one clobbering Leo with the plush shark. I sprint toward Adam and Leo and whack the plush shark out of Adam's hand. Leo's girlish screams die down, but he's still screaming, just not as loud. "Are you okay, Leo," I ask, helping him up. He gasps and screams, in a shrilling high pitch, "IT'S GONNA EAT ME!!!" He is still gasping and crying. "It's okay, Leo," I say. I pat his shoulder to comfort him and smack Adam upside the head.

"Ow," Adam says. "What was that for?" "For you acting like a jerk," I say. He chuckles, "Oh, C'mon, I was just playing with him!" "Well, none of us like the way you play, Adam," I say, frustrated. "Be nice." Adam scoffs, "Fine." He playfully slaps Leo on the back and Leo yelps. "Whoops," Adam says, patting Leo on the head. "Sorry, little buddy." I smile, satisfied, and go exercise, (and chat), with Bree for awhile. Bree and I end up socializing more than exercising, but I zone out and am stunned into silence when I see Auntie Tasha lifting two six-pound weights in each hand and lifting them up and down with ease. "Whoa," I say in awe. "Tasha's got game!" Tasha smiles at me. "Thanks, sweetie," she says. "Oh, I am so ready to kick my sister's butt!"

I'm stunned at hearing this come out of my sweet aunt's mouth. Appearantly, everyone else is stunned at hearing this as well because they all stop what they're doing and stare at Tasha with surprised expressions, like me. Auntie Tasha realizes that we are all staring at her. A blush creeps upon her cheeks and she smiles, nervous and embarrassed. "What," she asks. "I'm just an old lady getting ready to kick some booty." I laugh, walk over to Auntie Tasha, and hug her. "I love you, Auntie," I say, happily. Tasha chuckles, hugs me back, and says, "I love you, too, sweetie."
