Real
As soon as I get home before the rest of the family because they were all watching the play, I run to my room, flop onto my bed, bury my face in my pillow, and cry. I hear the door open from downstairs. "Lyrica," a voice cries as the door is slammed shut. It's Chase. I don't say anything. I hear my door open. "Lyrica," says a gentle voice. Of course it's Chase. I don't reply. I hear footsteps and feel a hand on my back. I know it's Chase. "That kiss was real," he says. I take my face out of my pillow. "It. Was. ACTING," I scream.
"No it wasn't," Chase says, gently. He puts his hands on my cheeks and wipes away my tears. "Let's just talk," he says, taking his hands off my face. "I'll start. I think that you make an excellent Snow White. Better than the original, actually." I feel myself blushing. "Thanks," I say, sniffling. "I think that you make an excellent Prince Charming, also better than the original." He nods, "Thank you." There is silence after that, but Chase suddenly breaks it. "I think about it all the time," he says. "When I was in that deranged, tortured Nursery Rhyme state. When you kissed me. How you kissed me. The way you protected me as if your life depended on it. You were my Princess. My Princess Charming."
My heart melts at hearing this. I decide to pour my heart out to him. "When you slept with me and comforted me through all of my nightmares and frightening flashbacks. The way you still do. I am extremely grateful for that. You're the only one who can calm me down. The way you risked your life for me and got captured by Tanya. I'll never forget that." He smiles, "Lyrica...I love you." I smile back, "I love you, too, Chase." Then it happens, and it's real, and we go as long as we can possibly go. We kiss until we can no longer breath.

When we finish, we're both breathless, but we're chuckling. "Breaking up with you was the biggest mistake that I've ever made in my entire life," Chase whispers against my eyelashes. I give him a butterfly kiss and whisper, "Ditto." I grab him by the collar of his shirt and we get cozy under the covers of my bed. "I just wanna be sure of something, Lyrica," Chase whispers. "You love me. Real or not real?" I nuzzle his chin and answer, "Real."
Author's Note: Hello, everyone. I hope that you are enjoying the story. The end of this chapter had a reference to The Hunger Games in it. It was the Real or not real part. I wrote it in as a shout out to C_ROCKER31, who was one of the first people who commented on the story before this sequel, and she has been dedicated to reading my books. She was also hoping for a Real or not real moment between Lyrica and Chase, so I put it in this chapter especially for her. You should check her out at C_ROCKER31. I would also like to thank the many other readers who have read this book and some of my other ones on Wattpad. You are all awesome! Thanks for the support! I can't wait to keep writing! :)
