"Adam, that was the rebel leader. The whole purpose of today's mission simulation was to interrogate him." Yelled Mr. Davenport as Adam, Bree, and Chase exited the simulator.

"I did, and his answer was 'Ahhhhhh!'" Adam screamed waving his arms around in a panicked motion.

I rolled my eyes but laughed lightly at his joke.

I did that on my first mission, good times, good times.

"Hey next time could maybe throw in a cute blue eye rebel?" Bree asked.

Mr. Davenport gave her a look that meant 'no'.

"What? I just sayin' it wouldn't kill you to add a little somethin, somethin for the ladies. Am I right Mia?"

Before I responded Chase cut in sternly "not happening"

He looked over to me blushing "uh I mean-your sure-forget it"

"Step aside amateurs, go ahead Big D! Set it to awesome!" Leo said and moved Chase, Adam and I to the side.

Then went up on the simulation platform with a pair of goggles on getting in a fighting stance.

"He already goes on missions with me, what more does he want?" I whispered to myself and no one heard me, or so I thought.

Chase walked over to the cyberdesk so he and his siblings could get a bottle of water and said to Leo "Leo these are not a toy"

"Come on! My birthday's coming up. Globally known as Dia Del el Leo."

" También es mi cumpleaños, pero nadie parece recordar que hacer" I mumbled in Spanish as everyone looked at me oddly.

Yes I have the same birthday as Leo but no one exactly remembers it so Leo and I usually celebrate it together.

Well I celebrate it alone with Leo making sure no one is around and my parents usually make a small party just for Leo and I but nothing big.

His mom does this big surprise party but I never like huge parties nor telling people it's my birthday.

"No. I designed the mission simulator to fine tune their bionics not to go on 3D joy rides, besides you're not trained for it." Mr. Davenport said ignoring what I just mumbled in Spanish (because he didn't understand it).

"Well, how about, as a birthday gift, you give me a bionic ability?" Leo suggested and I bit my lip.

This boy is desperate for superpowers.

Mr. Davenport placed a hand on his shoulder patting it sympathetically and said rudely "Or...I could gift wrap reality and you could play with that for a while."

Chase walked over to Leo, arms crossed and he asked "So Leo's having a birthday. What are you, like, nine?"

"Fourteen." Leo responded plainly.

Chase laughed before turning serious again "No seriously."

I looked over to him and asked putting my chin on my palm "So how are you going to celebrate it this year?"

"Every year my mom throws me a big surprise party as you already knew" he bragged.

"Really?" Adam asked astonished.

Leo started to brag again "Last year she baked a cake the size of me! I'm not gonna brag but I was delicious."

A few seconds later Tasha rushed down the lab saying "I just found out that I won an award for my undercover report on expired produce, ' Something In The Produce Can Kill You'."

"Congratulations! That's great" Davenport said placing his arm around her waist.

Tasha smiled brightly before her smile faltered and she said "Oh thank you but the awards baquet is the same day as Leo's birthday. I'm sorry honey but I'm gonna miss it. If I don't show up I'm afraid that they're going to give my award to that overdramtic screen hog, Linda Monterez." Tasha said her name with disgust.

If she only knew Linda Monterez was Banchee the screamer, super villan.

"It's okay mom, go have fun. You deserve it." Leo said standing between Bree and I.

Bree tugged on his shirt whispering"I thought she was going to throw you a party? I was promised a party."

"Every year she comes up with a lame excuse to make me think she's not throwing me a party. Award? Please, have you seen her reporting?" Leo asked and I laughed lightly to myself.

Tasha walked back over to us and asked Leo "Leo are you sure you're not mad? We've never been apart on your birthday."

"Oh please, he'll have plenty of birthdays. Who knows if you're ever going win anything again." Adam said and I winced expecting for an outburst but nothing came.

"Mom go get your award." Leo coughed over to her whispering "Chocolate frosting."

"I promise we will celebrate the following night. You too Mia" Tasha promised to the both of us whispering the last part for me.

"Hey, uh, why haven't we ever had a birthday party?" Bree asked.

"Donald! You never celebrated their birthdays?" Tasha asked in disbelief.

"Oh course I've celebrated their birthdays." Mr. Davenport stuttered "Remember when we-No, when we went to the-Yeah I've never celebrated their birthdays."

"Did you also eat all the cookies before Santa came down the chimney?" Tasha asked crossing her arms.

Who was Santa anyways?

"What's Santa?" Bree and I asked in unison both of us cocking our head to the side.

"Oh come on. Mia didn't your parents tell you anything about Santa clause" Tasha exclaimed asking me.

I thought for a moment before saying "no, unless you count my dad in a red suit eating cookies? "

Tasha left exasperated as Mr. Davenport followed asking her "Why would you give him cookies?"

When they were all gone Leo said "This is going to be the best birthday ever! The size of the party is equal to the size of the excuse. I'm gonna go work on my surprise face."

When Leo was gone Adam yelled  "Woohoo! Leo's having a surprise party!"

Chase looked over to his brother and asked him "Adam, if Leo was having a surprise party, don't you think we'd be invited?"

Adam said angrily  "Yeah, you're right. Who does Tasha think she is for not inviting us?"

"No. Tasha and Davenport really are going to an award ceremony."

That's when my phone rang and when I looked down I saw the words Mission Alert across the screen.

"This is horrible and I wish I could help but I have to go. My dad needs...um help with, uh...lifting something heavy! Yeah so uh, bye" I said rushed running out of the lab.

When I got home I ran into the garage and pulled a secret lever opening an elevator door. There located was a sliding pole but instead of using it I just flew down there closing the doors from above.

"Hey Mia, your late you know" Salem said jumping onto my control panel.

"By five seconds" I mumbled changing into my disguise.

He scoffed "yeah whatever. Hey do you happen have those cheesy fish looking crackers on ya?"

Digging imto my pocket I tossed one in the air as he ate it.

"Your awesome, now go kick Mr. Fist's butt!" He exclaimed with his mouth full as I rolled my eyes and flew off.

"Hey guys" I greeted walking into their house when suddenly a roll of streamers flew right past my head.

"Woah you almost hit Mia's head!" Adam exclaimed over to Chase who flushed red in embarrassment.

"It's alright Adam and at least it didn't hit me" I said walking inside when I felt myself being followed.

Bree walked in and said "oh hey Jake"

I felt Jake place his arm around my shoulders and saying "sup Bree, I'm here to say happy birthday to the little man. Where is he anyway?"

"He's downstairs" Chase gritted through his teeth for some reason.

Bree gave him a questioning look before her eyes widen in realization as she rushed over to him whispering something in his ear that my brother clearly heard.

"What?" I whispered over to him but instead my brother pulled me closer to him, giving me a kss on the cheek saying "I'll pick you up around 10. Are you ok with that?"

"Sure" I replied as he left saying "tell Leo happy birthday for me will ya"

I turned around to face the others and saw how Chase was fuming to the point where I thought he would turn into spike.

"Hey Mia, who was that?" Adam asked as I responded happily "he's my older brother Jake"

I looked over to where Chase was standing only to find that he wasn't there anymore.

"Awesome party!" Someone yelled over the noise to me and I couldn't help but wince.

I'm not those people who like to party so this really isn't my scene, especially when almost every guy here is trying to be the one who will finally score a date with me or at least steal my first kiss.

Yes, the Mia Falcon hasn't had her first kiss yet because I don't want to have it with just anyone, I want it with someone I actually care about.

"So Mia," said Austin "you and Chase? Is there something going on there"

Austin and I have been friends for a long time and I can actually trust him because 1: he's a super and we fight crime alot and 2:he's my cousin.

"Sadly no. We are friends though" I responded looking over at Chase.

He was hanging out with I think the characters from shark man and Flipper boy?

My heart fluttered at the sight of him enjoying himself even if it wasn't with me.

Austin tapped my shoulder and asked me "hey, where's Leo? Isn't this his birthday party?"

I remember Bree telling me something about locking Leo in the lab...

That's when my eyes widen as I ran down to the lab (not using the elevator) and pounded on the sliding doors yelling "Eddie open this door!"

"Geez princess, no need to get rough" he said sarcastically letting me fall on the ground before Eddie closed the doors again.

Leo looked over to me and said "oh thank god you came for me. At least I have my best friend to have my back, now let's go join everyone else at my birthday party"

We both ran to the sliding doors only to know that Eddie locked us in.

"Eddie! Let us out" I growled over to the emoji.

He just smiled and said innocently "can't let Leo out until I get the signal so better get comfortable princess"

"Nice going Mia, your rescue mission failed" Leo said sliding down to the ground.

I sighed sadly, sliding down to the ground as well, while whispering "happy birthday to us"

Leo had a crestfallen face as he repeated "happy birthday to us"

I dug into my pocket and took out a gift wrapped present sliding it over to him and said "here's your birthday present. I hope you like it"

A few hours later the screen turned on revealing the living room as Tasha asked the three "Speaking of which, where is Leo, and Mia?"

My brother was right besides her, crossing his arms angrily "if anything happens to her...just tell me you know where she is"

"Their right here!" Eddie happily said changing his screen to show Leo and I as Leo said "Where we've been for the past three hours!"

Eddie changed the screen and said "Yep. Just waiting for the signal."

"Eddie. Let them come upstairs now!" Exclaimed Chase as the sliding doors opened and Leo and I ran out of there desperately trying to see anything other than that room.

Three hours in one room, not a great experience.

"Surprise!" they all said when Leo and I came upstairs, except for my brother who just ran up to me and gave me a hug.

"I thought my first birthday with you guys was gonna be awesome, and you know what it probably was, but I wouldn't know because I wasn't invited!" Leo yelled at them before walking up to me and said aloud "oh and happy birthday Mia"

He handed me a small box as Adam, Bree, and Chase looked at me wide eyed.

"it's not your birthday? It's Leo's " Adam exclaimed pointing over to Leo.

Leo rolled his eyes and said sarcastically "it's Mia's birthday as well, plot twist!"

My brother grabbed my arm before saying "this has certainly been an eventful evening but I'm afraid we have to be going now. Come on Mia"

We walked out of their house before he said angrily "I can't believe they did that!"

Sighing I said "it was mean but you can't blame them. They never had a birthday party celebrated for them before."

Jake relaxed and said "yeah I guess your right"

"Aren't I always. Hey do you know who santa is?"

"No idea"

'Knock, knock, knock' I heard someone knocking on my door before I yelled "go away!"

It was 8 am on a Saturday and I'm not usually a morning person when it came to the weekend.

"Mia, it's Bree" I heard her say before I unlocked the door with my telekinesis as she walked in.

I felt the bed shift but I didn't move a muscle, I was to tired to.

When I got home last night my family threw a small party with just us 7 Falcon's and I was happy but a little bit upset that I couldn't celebrate it with the Davenport's.

"So...happy late birthday" she said happily and I just groaned in response.

"Come on Mia, I'm sorry I accidentally forgot Leo and unfortunately you down in the lab but you have to understand that we never had a birthday before"

I sat up looking over at her and said "Bree I'm not upset, I'm tired since I stayed up late last night with my family and it's 8 in the morning on a Saturday"

She flushed red in embarrassment as she stuttered "well that's good to know...that's not the only reason I'm here..."

I cocked an eyebrow at her as she continued "...Chase has been sort of upset thinking that your brother is your boyfriend-"

"Wait, are your brothers here?!" I yelled jumping off bed trying super hard not to super speed downstairs.

Bree shrugged and responded "yeah they are, is there a problem with that?"

My eye started to twitch and I practically yelled " well my family is not normal! And if you haven't noticed your brothers aren't exactly in on my family's 'secret' so what happens when they find out huh? They'll freak, that's what!"

Bree raised her hands in surrender as I raced downstairs to find...everything normal?

My siblings weren't home, my mom was making conversation as my father eyed the two from a distance. "Well well, isn't it meet the parents day" Salem said sarcastically.

"Shut it Salem" I whispered walking into the living room.

"Hey guys! What are you doing here...This fine Saturday morning" I said as I thought 'mom, dad LEAVE!'

My mom got the message as she pulled my father out of the room.

It was silent for a few seconds as Bree came downstairs and said "Mia, where's Jake?"

"in the garage" I responded as she got the message and ran off.

I sat down next to the two before saying "if this is about last night I don't blame you nor am I angry with you. But I am irritated that you forgot Leo's birthday during his own birthday party bug it's understandable"

"We still feel bad though. Leo's mad at us and I don't know what to do about it? " Chase responded looking at me in the eye and I couldn't help but feel as if he was a lost puppy.

That's when idea struck me and I said "why don't you make him supe-bionic! I meant bionic! Bionic...for a day."

Chase looked at me weirdly before saying "not a bad idea"

Adam clapped his hands together before saying "now that, that's settled I think I'll be heading to the garage"

Chase and I didn't move, we just stared each other, in the eye as Adam made his exit.

That's when I realized he was leaning in and I was doing the same wrapping my arms around his neck and his right hand pulling my head towards him.

When we were so close for our lips to meet... Salem ruined the moment yelling a pathetic excuse as a "Meow!"

We jumped apart as I blushed saying "oh wow look at the time, it's time for me to check on Adam and Bree. Where are they?"

"in the garage"

That's all I needed to hear before I ran to the garage in a panicked state.
