"Hey guys" I greeted while walking down the hall "hey Marcus" I greeted to him as well as I stood besides Chase.

He held my hand and asked Marcus "Hey Marcus, what are you up to this weekend?"

"Ah, my dad's out of town and so I'll be stuck home alone with my grandma." He responded as if he were already having a plan begin up in his head.

I've never really liked Marcus, there's just this certain vibe he gives off that admittedly, scares me.

Also whenever Chase isn't around he begins to hit on me and it sort of freaks me out. And he's also tried to kiss me whenever I'm alone.

I want to tell Chase but I know he probably won't believe me, at all. I mean he doesn't believe Leo.

"Ahah! You said your grandma was dead." Shrieked Leo, pointing at him accusingly.

"The other grandma. Thanks for reminding me"

I bit my lip and reassured Marcus "hey, I'm sure Leo didn't mean it like that. He was just confused"

Whenni placed it on his shoulder, he looked up at me and said "no, it's ok Mia. I know what he meant. I wish I could stay with you guys for the weekend."

"And I wish you weren't a spastic sociopath with abandonment issues."

"Leo, give it a rest." Chase said exasperated.

Leo shook his head and responded "Chase, none of us are safe until the FBI responds to my request for a background check on this... M-Dog."

Chase shook his head and looked back at Marcus before saying "Marcus I'm sure you can stay with us. Let me just check with Mr. Davenport."

"You call your dad, Mr. Davenport?"

"Uh, no, psh, no! But you do and I wanted you to know who I was talking about."

"Okay, cool! Thanks guys."

Once the bell rang I gave Chase a kiss and was about to walk away when he yellled towards Bree "Bree watch out!"

Bree turned around and it was as if time slowed down for just a few seconds. I saw I blue spark ignite within Chase's neck and surge through his arm as it connected to the ball and it moved towards a different direction.

Suddenly everything went back to normal but I just stared at the empty space where the football was once located.

"Oh my god" I breathed out.

"Did you just...?"

"I think I just moved that ball with my mind."

"I didn't know you could do that?"

"Neither did I."

"It was like you connected with the ball..." I mumbled to myself but he heard and gripped my hand as if he was scared of what he's just done.

I'm scared of what I just done, I saw Chase use his new power but at the same time it was like as if time had slowed down and that connection he made, that blue light. I'm certain that no one saw it but me, am I...also getting new powers?

No, it can't be! A super stops gaining more power once their 10 years old, it's not possible that I gained more powers. Does this have anything to do with the fact that I'm adopted and if so, why is it happening? Did this happen to my biological parents and that's why this is happening to me? There's so many questions and I just feel so lost.

"Man! If you can do that with your mind, I wonder what I could do with mine?" Adam asked himself, chewing on his gum. Man Adam, I'm wondering the exact same thing. For myself of course.

"We've been wondering that for years."

When everyone began to leave Chase grabbed my arm and held me back. I turned to him confused as to why he pulled me back he said "Mia, are you ok?"

"Yes, why do you think that I'm not ok," I asked him back.

Chase just shrugged and responded ", You just seem so distant lately. After we met Marcus it's as if your just trying to stay away"

"I'm fine Chase. Just trust me." As I was about to walk away I felt him grab my arm again and said ", Wait."

I turned around again and felt two warm lips on mine, instinctively I started to kiss back until I felt something cold on my finger. Backing away, I looked down at my hand and saw a silver ring with a blue Sapphire in the center. I looked up at him with wide eyes, then back at the ring, then back at him.

"Chase, you didn't have to-"

"I didn't have to but I wanted too. Consider it a late birthday present," he said, making me chuckle. "If you ever get lost just remember that I'll always find you."

Tears were already seeping out of my eyes and I gave him a hug whispering a thank you. We just stood there in eachother's arm's. Not moving away from eachother's embrace, just the way we like it.

"Chase this is amazing. You can move things with your mind! You're like a really cool magician, you know if there was such a thing as a really cool magician."

"It doesn't make any sense. It was probably just a fluke? I mean, it's not like everything around me is going to start flying through the air." Chase said throwing his arms up in frustration. Suddenly loose objects flew up in the air before falling down again.

I just whistled.

"Uh oh."

Bree got up from the spin chair and said "I'm going to tell Mr. Davenport about this."

"What? No way! If this is a glitch and Mr. Davenport found out about it, he won't let me got to school anymore. Let me tap into his cyber desk. See if I can find anything." Chase began typing in Mr. Davenport's cyber desk and suddenly holographic images appeared right before my eyes.

One image caught his eye and he said "Whoa, guys? This isn't a glitch. I can move objects by manipulating the energy around them. I've unlocked a hidden ability called Muleckularkensis."

Adam looked at him confused and said "Chase I'm also gonna have you unlock your ability to use smaller words."

Chase ignored his brother and continued to read "According to this, we all have hidden abilities."

"What?"

"What are they?"

"I don't know let me see, oh no it's shutting us out. Mr. Davenport must have put on a security lock on it. Sorry guys, I guess we'll have to discover them on our own." Chase said disappointed.

"Fine."

"Oh! Maybe my new ability is to speak Russian?" Adam slowly walked around and started moving in a weird position "Testing...Testing...Is this Russian?"

"Keep looking."

"I rest my case."

"Rest your case about what?" I asked as I came downstairs to the living room when suddenly the doorbell rang.

"No guys, this weekend is not a great weekend for this-" Mr. Davenport stopped talking when he saw Marcus standing in the doorway. My breath caught my throat when he made eye contact with me. For some reason I felt like Marcus might harm me sometime in the future.

"Marcus what a surprise.We were just talking about you."

Leo walked over to Marcus and tried to push him out "Yeah and let me catch you up to speed. Your two faced and no one likes you. Goodbye."

Marcus laughed and patted Leo on the head while saying "I love this little guy. He's so full of fire."

"Mr. Davenport my dad left before my grandma got there and I was all alone and this is the only place I feel safe and please don't make me leave!" Marcus began to cry and suddenly I juat wanted to back away upstairs.

"Alright you can stay." Mr. Davenport gave up when a beeping noise began to come out of his watch.

"What is that?" Marcus asked Mr. Davenport. He made up a stupid excuse and dragged us all away from him.

"Guys that is the mission alarm. We have to get down to the lab immediately. Leo, Mia distract Marcus!"

"What? No, no."

"How am I suppose to distract him?" I asked.

Mr. Davenport ran a frustrated hand through his hair and said "I don't know, do what all girls do to distract a guy. Flirt with him or something."

I gasped "if he tries to kiss me I'll kill you"

Before Chase was about to argue, Mr. Davenport grabbed his arm and dragged him downstairs as Bree made some excuse about a Pizza.

It was incredibly boring since Leo was quizzing Marcus and I with some Lady magazine. I was so relieved when Mr. Davenport came back up here from the Lab and said  "Excuse me Marcus. I need to borrow these two. Something went horribly wrong with the pizza"

Once we were out of earshot he asked "How's it going over here?"

"Oh! Fine. I'm distracting him with my mom's lady out that chicks actually prefer a man with insecurities. Who knew?" Leo said.

"Look this mission is very complicated. I had to send Adam, Bree and Chase into space."

"They're in space?!" Leo and I exclaimed. "So while I was 'flirting' with Marcus you sest by best friends and my boyfriend into space?"

"And we're stuck here making small talk with a narcissistic commitment phobe who nine out of ten women wouldn't take home to meet their mother? I expect combat pay for this."

We all ran back to the living room and were shocked that no one was there. "Where'd he go?"

"He's probably up on the second floor dangling my hamster out of the window."

"Just find him and get him out of here!"

Mr. Davenport paid Leo because Leo began to fuss about combat pay. Once Mr. Davenport was gone I used my super speed to check the whole house. I told Leo that he wasn't up any of the floors so we just went to the lab to ler Mr. Davenport know.

"We couldn't find Marcus any-oh boy." I looked over at the direction Leo was looking at and saw Marcus inside Bree's capsule.

"What is this place? What are these?" Marcus asked when we dragged him out of Bree's capsule.

"Uh, those are...Leo tell him what those are."

"Oh... uh... they are washing machines." Leo stuttered.

"Yes! These are my new high tech industrial washing machines. Each load cost a hundred and fifty quarters." Mr. Davenport began to explain about an invention that doesn't exist.

Suddenly it was as if my mind was gone for a second and I couldn't hear anything. Like I blacked out for a second but when I came back Leo was shaking me.

"Mia, are you ok?" He asked, while shaking me furiously. I blinked a couple of times before responding ", yeah. Just peachy"

"Ok, let's go check on Adam, Bree, and Chase"

The screen turned on as Leo said "Earth here, commander Dooley speaking"

"Leo? Where's Mr. Davenport?" I heard Bree ask.

"He had to take Marcus home but he should have been back by now. Oh, also, before I forget I'm going to need you to bring me back a lot of souvenirs" Leo began to list of a bunch of things as the screen flickered on and off.

When the screen wouldn't turn on again I yelled at Leo to pay attention more.

"I just discovered what the little red light on the dashboard on my hydrogen car means. It means your out of hydrogen and you're walking home."

Mr. Davenport took away the earpiece Leo was using and asked "Guys what is the status of the mission? Guys are you there?"

"Yup, right here." Bree said surprising is all.

"Oh hello."

"Where have you been?" Chase asked as the three of them dropped their bags.

"You totally abandoned us, and the entire mission." Bree exclaimed angrily.

"Adam floated out into space and almost became the world's dumbest satellite and he would have if I didn't stumble upon my Muleckularkensis." Suddenly Chase's eyes widen and he continued "Also I...stumbled across my Muleckularkensis."

"How did you find out about that?" Mr. Davenport asked.

"The question is: How could you not have told me sooner?"

"Uh Mr. Davenport, what other abilities do I have because I vote for the ability to look into the future and see myself far far away from all of this." Bree said motioning to her brothers and began taking a few steps back.

"Yes, you have abilities you don't know about but I can't tell you what they are or when they'll appear."Mr. Davenport explained to the three.

"Why not?"

"Because I don't know what they all are or when they'll appear" Mr. Davenport answered while walking over to his cyber desk.

"What do you mean you don't know?" Chase asked.

"Look there are certain things you don't know right now and it's for your own good. Strange things will continue to happen and I promise, eventually, I'll give you the answers you've been looking for. But for now you just have to trust me."

"But Mr. Davenport-"

"Please, you have to trust me. You have to be careful about who you allow into your lives-" I super speeded out of the room without anybody noticing after Mr. Davenport said that. He's right, I mean Chase and my relationship is not even based on the truth. I mean, I haven't even told him about me being super or being Kim Falcon. This is just crazy.

Maybe I should tell him. He deserves to know right? God, I just hope he understands and doesn't-

"Mia!" I heard someone yell. I turned around and saw Chase running towards me and it just brought a slight smile to my face.

"Hey Chase" I said once he came to a stop. I cleared my throat and began serious ",We need to talk."

The smile he had was wiped off from his face as soon as it came. Before I continued he cut me off ", I think we should break up"

It was as if everything came crashing down and I was crushed underneath this pile of heartbreak and the pieces of my lost life. I whispered a barley audible 'what' but of course he heard.

"I just don't want you to get hurt and to be honest I don't think we're ready for a relationship. You've never had a boyfriend until me and I just left the basement for the first time in 15 years. I'm sorry Mia"

As he turned around and began to walk away I exclaimed " Chase wait!"

He turned around "yes Mia?"

"Can we at least be friends? So it won't be awkward between us whenever we all hang out?"

I stuck out my hand as if to make a deal and he hesitantly shook it and said "friends"

"Friends"

Did anybody see that coming? I am desperately hoping you didn't and let me just say that they might not get together anytime soon or they might. it just may take some life or death situation to make it happen *hint* also I just wanted the story to be different instead of the same he's my boyfriend, we love eachother, we got together at the dance. no offense to people who do use those ideas it's just that I like to use ideas that haven't been used.
I know alot of people think this story is alot like black arrow but Black arrow is alot more confident and more mature than Mia who is confident but eventually you start to see her insecurities and her problems with being normal and discovering the secrets from her past. Chase and her might get back together but in Black arrow they were made for eachother which reminds me you should definitely read that story. I can't talk about a story without sponsoring it, it just wouldn't be right.
lastly, I just wanted to know if this story seems realistic instead of being a fantasy. it's just that I don't want it to seem as if Mia is literally living at their house and has abandonment problems because if it seems that way then I am going to have to do alot of editing.

when do you expect Chase and Mia to get back together or get together at all? and how?
