Nothing's impossible

Storyline belongs to the writers of boy meets world. I own nothing but Mia.

"About time you three got home. Do you have any idea what time it is?"" Mr. Davenport asked Leo, Chase, and Adam as they exited the hydra loop calmly.

And by calmly I mean, sneaking into the academy with party hats and whistle blowers. Well, Adam was. Leo and Chase just looked irritated.

Bree and I followed after Mr. Davenport tiredly after he had dragged us out of bed to look for the three. Not cool.

Turns out that Adam had decided to sneak out to go to a party and Leo and Chase went to go get him when they realized that he still hadn't come home an hour after curfew. How do I know this?

Adam was the only person invited to time to this party and everyone knew it.

"Mr. Davenport, I can explain. Adam an I both went to that party and we sort of lost track of time." Chase lied.

Mr. Davenport crossed his arms and looked over at Leo who smiled nervously at us.

"So what your saying is that I should punish you two for being irresponsible?"

Chase hesitated before nodding in confirmation and Mr. Davenport shrugged, "Fine. Both of you are going to clean the student washroom before class begins tomorrow."

Adam asked, "Why are you being so tough about coming home late? It happens."

Nodding, he told us, "You know, you're right. Let's forget about the student washrooms. I'll just cancel the student trip next week."

"No! Don't do that. Those students have been looking forward towards that trip for weeks." Leo buts in, "It wouldn't be fair to them and I would know. I'm one of them."

Chase sighed, "Alright, we'll clean the student washrooms."

Mr. Davenport shook his head, "Did I say only the student washrooms? I meant all of them."

Everyone gasped as Adam said, "There's no way we'll finish all of that on time. Why are you doing this?"

"To teach you a lesson." He answered simply.

Bree and I just sat down in the gray spin chairs, watching this all unfold. If we weren't awake before, we were now.

"I'm already a mentor. What's left to learn?" Asked Adam.

Trying to help them, Leo asked, "Mr. Davenport, why don't you-"

"Not now Leo."

Leo gasps offended that he was just cut off by Mr. Davenport but stayed silent anyway.

"So you think that just because your mentors, nothing that I teach you from now on means anything?"

Leo cut in again, "I was just talking with them about this the other day-"

"Leo!" Mr. Davenport exclaimed sternly, looking over at him. Leo froze. Returning to his conversation, Mr. Davenport ordered, "Adam, I want all the washrooms on the island sparkling by tomorrow afternoon."

Adam gasped, "Tomorrow afternoon? That's impossible."

Chase elbowed Adam as he told Mr. Davenport, "Done."

He grumbled something under his breath as Adam told them, "Tommorow afternoon? Why doesn't he just ask me to get him some Green Bay Packers tickets."

That's when an idea formed in my head and just before Mr. Davenport opened his mouth, I said, "Adam, forget about the washrooms."

"Mia-"

Ignoring Mr. Davenport, I continued, "Your new assignment is to come up with two tickets to the Green Bay Packers game by the end of the week."

Leo groaned, "Oh come on Mr. Davenport. Why are you so upset about?"

"Leo, I have a job for you as well." I said, "Butt out of other people's lives for one week."

Mr. Davenport added, "Otherwise, you get an F in bionic training."

Leo backed up, "Woah, I've never failed a class here. Mainly because I don't want to go down a level."

"Don't you think your being just a little unfair?" Chase asked Mr. Davenport.

"Chase," I said, "Since you feel so responsible for your brothers' fate, I put their fate in your hands. Their success is your success. But if either of them fails, so do you."

Spinning around, I began walking out of the room just as Bree stood up and followed after. Once the boys were out of listening distance, she asked, "Why would you tell Adam to get the tickets? That's impossible."

I smirked, "You'll see."

"We could go back in time to the first Green Bay Packers game when tickets weren't expensive?" Adam suggested to Chase as Leo listened to the radio on his phone.

Leo shook his head and sang, "If I were you, I would go back in time and do the original assignment so we wouldn't be in this mess. Lalalala."

Chase sighed, "Leo, butting in in musical form is still butting in."

"Oh! Oh! Ask Leo! That was my third idea. We get advice from Leo even if it isn't all that good." Adam exclaimed, looking down at his list.

He reminded, "If I give advice, I get an F."

Rolling his eyes, Adam said, "You can afford one F in your life."

"No, I can't. I've worked very hard to be perfect since this Academy has opened up."

Chase sat down and sighed, "This is just great."

"If I was a pair of Green Bay Packers tickets, how would I find me?" Adam asked himself, as the two boys ignored Leo who was freaking out over an announcement over the radio.

When no one noticed him, he put the volume on lud and pressed it against Chase's ear, making him exclaimed in agony. Damn, super hearing.

That's when Adam listened to the man on the radio 888-10-Power, and we're down to our last caller for a chance to go to the Packers game!"

Smiling, Adam exclaimed, "Hey! They're giving away tickets to the game and we almost missed it! Thanks a lot, Leo."

"Hey Adam. How are you? I brought you some hot chocolate." Chase told his brother bringing him a cup of hot chocolate as Adam stood besides a billboard in the freezing cold with two other guys.

Adam sighed relieved and took the hot chocolate from Chase, "Oh god, Thank you so much."

When Adam noticed another guy looking at his cup, he glared, "Oh get your own."

The guy glared back, "I will. I don't even like football." And he had gone.

"There's only one more guy, and we're at the game Adam." Chase cheered.
Adam turned to look at his opponent and sighed, "I can't win this, Chase.

"Of course you can win. You've made it down to one more guy, and I'm here to help you."

"Chase, look at the other guy." He did and that's when he finally noticed something. The other guy was eating ice cream with a thin sweater, "The other guy's an Eskimo. And he's eating an ice-cream cone. He's from the Inuit tribe. He comes to Mission Creek with his family every January for summer vacation Chase. I really thought I had a chance to go to the game, but I guess I never really did. There's always gonna be an Eskimo standing in my way, isn't there?"

Sighing, Chase motioned to the ladder, "Come on. I'll help you down."

"All right, Mr. Davenport, Mia. We got this one figured out!" Adam exclaimed as I painted Bree's nails. Mr. Davenport was messing with the tablet just before they had arrived and now was trying to fix a virus he added to the system.

Looking up at them, Mr. Davenport asked, "You got the tickets?"

Chase shook his head and said, "This was never about the tickets."

"It wasn't?" Bree and I asked in unison.

"You don't think we know you, Mia? Usually you give us a quote and if there's anything I know about my best friend is too look behind the message for the lesson. Or in this case, the lesson behind the lesson. Well, they figured this one out all by themselves and I didn't even help them, Mr. Davenport." Leo told us proudly.

"Even though we think something's impossible, we still should have tried and even though it's not important to teach a lesson through work. We still should have tried or made it looked like we tried."

"You see how I haven't given them any advice on what to say?" Leo pointed outI don't.

"Where are the tickets?" I asked them and they all began laughing.

Adam mocked, "'Where are the tickets?' Good one Mia. You know we don't have any tickets."

"Mr. Davenport, I don't-" Leo began before Mr. Davenport cut off.

"No, Leo. All you had to do was stay out of it." He looked over at Chase, "And you had to help them succeed. That was your job. Now, where are the tickets?"

"Mr. Davenport," Adam begged, "I tried. We know that's what you and Mia wanted."

I shook my head just as the boys turned to me, "That's not what I wanted."

Returning back to the conversation, Mr. Davenport concluded, "Get the tickets or fail."

Leo tried butting in, "Mr. Davenport-"

"Stay out of it or fail Leo."

"Mr. Davenport, come on. How are we-"

"Help them both or fail Chase. End of discussion."

"Adam, what are you doing here?" Chase asked his brother as he and Leo arrived at the same billboard the competition was at.

Adam responded, "I'm up here trying to think."

"What are you thinking about?"

He simply answered, "Whenever I've wanted anything in my life, there's always been an Eskimo standing in my way."

"Remember when I broke my arm and went safety crazy? That was an Eskimo. Everyone else gets better grades than I do. Eskimo. There's just so many things standing in my way. Well, I'm going to the game"

"Adam, you don't have any tickets." Chase reminded him.

"I don't care!"

"You have no way of getting there."

"It doesn't matter!" Adam exclaimed, standing up, "Chase, people like me, we don't go anywhere because we don't believe that we can get there! I'm my own worst Eskimo!"

Trying to stop him, Chase said, "Adam, listen to me. I'm trying to help you here. You don't have to go anywhere."

"Yes, I do! I do have to go somewhere because if I don't, I'll never go anywhere. Now be a good brother and get out of my way."

And he did.

"Mr. Davenport, Mia, I failed." Chase told us hesitantly as we sat on the gray spin chairs.

Leo nodded, "A we speak, Adam is foolishly rolling westward towards San Diego in certain disappointment."

"Did he get the tickets?" Mr. Davenport asked.

Chase shook his head, "No. He said the tickets didn't matter. He said nothing mattered and that he'd find a way in."

"That's what he said?"

"Yeah. I mean, I was standing in front of him, and he asked me to move out of the way so he could go."

"And did you move out of the way?" I asked Chase.

He answered, "Well, yeah. I really felt like I should've. I know the assignment was to help him succeed, but, it was like he didn't need my help on this one. He was gonna do this one on his own, no matter what. Guess I failed."

Mr. Davenport looked over to me as I told him, "Actually, you and Adam passed with flying colors."

Leo raised an eyebrow at me, "How?"

Mr. Davenport asked as well, "Yeah Mia, how?"

I explained, " Adam isn't going to do anything because you want him to. He has to want to and believe that he can and the only way he can do that is on his own without your help."

Chase asked, "Then why did you want me to help him?"

Mr. Davenport answered, "You need to know you won't always be able to."

That's when Leo's eyes widened in comprehension, "I think I understand why you've been so upset and I think I know why you were trying to teach us a lesson."

"Leo, your butting in." Mr. Davenport told him

Leo shrugged, "Yeah, I am, so fail me. That's life."

"You won't be perfect anymore." I told him.

He simply responded, "No one should be perfect. Besides, you learn from failure and I need to know that because one day you're going to have to let us go."

Chase finished, "One day you won't be able to teach us anymore, and you can't be sure if we're going to be all right."

"Life is a lot tougher than school guys." Mr. Davenport told them.

I finished, "But the right thing to do is just step aside and let us live it."

"Oh! What a game! This is the best game since the Packers two week win over Chicago." The tv said as everyone cheered as Bree and I stared at the screen blankly.

That's when Spin yelled, looking over at the Tv, "Look at that!"

"Look at what, Spin? The game's over."

"I'm looking at the crowd! Look at the guy holding up the sign!"

"Which one?" Leo asked before I saw it too.

I told them, "The one that says, 'Hey, Mr. Davenport. Nothing's impossible.'"
