Hospital heartbreaks
Please don't hate me.

"Kadie, your okay?" Leo asked the blonde girl, hugging her on sight.
She returned it and answered, "Yeah, I'm fine. It's Mia I'm worried about. The doctor told me that she needed a cat scan the second we arrived. Apparently, when a device hits a force field in certain speeds, serious damage could occur in the mind where most super's powers originate."
Leo sighed, "Now they know who she is. Well this apparently just got interesting."
Kadie nodded, "Your telling me. Hey, where are your siblings?"
"They're on their way. Bree had a hard time swallowing the fact that Mia was here so Adam and Chase stayed to comfort her." Leo responded.
A few seconds later, they heard the sounds of people running into the waiting room towards them rapidly.
Chase was the first to ask, "How is she?"
Kadie answered, "She's stable. Not awake yet though. "
Adam asked, "Is she going to get a cast cause I brought a marker...?"
"No, sorry." Kadie responded smiling slightly.
"What else did the doctor say?" Bree asked as well.
She answered, "That she's going to be fine. Their gonna run some tests when she wakes up just to make sure though."
Leo sighed and sat down. When everyone turned their heads to look at him, he asked confused, "What?"
Adam and Bree followed after just as Chase made up some lie about going to the vending machine nearby to get something to eat unbeknownst to him that Kadie followed after.

"Hey." She greeted suddenly, making Chase jump besides the vending machine.
He sighed in relief and greeted back, "Hey Kadie. Want anything?"
She shook her head, "No thanks, I'm good. How are you doing?"
"I'm fine."
"You and I both know that's a lie."
Chase rolled his eyes, "I'm fine Kadie. Honest."
Shaking her head, she told him, "No your not. Your worried aren't you?"
"Why wouldn't I be?" He asked, "One of my closest friends is in the hospital because of a stupid helicopter incident. Of course I'm worried."
"No, your girlfriend is in the hospital and your worried that their might be more damage than what I told you." Kadie corrected.
"How did you-"
"Know about you and Mia? Please, I could see it in your eyes, your actions. In everything you do actually. You just seem...different. It's a good different though. And about the reason your worried, it's the same reason I am." She explained, leaning against the vending machine.
When she realized that her speech didn't cheer him up, she reassured him, "Hey, she's gonna be okay. Mia's a fighter."
Giving her a small smile, Chase said, "Yeah I know."
"Hello Ms. Blume. I was just on my way to see you." Someone said behind Kadie, making her jump. Turning around, she noticed Dr. Sonam standing behind her with a folder in hand.
Sighing in relief, Kadie greeted, "Oh hey Dr. Sonam. You scared me."
Dr. Sonam shrugged sheepishly, "Sorry about that. I just came to tell you that your friend Mia is awake and is ready to see you now."
Once again, they both sighed in relief and Chase asked, "What room is she in?"
"Room 215." She answered and just like that, Chase was rapidly going down the hall. Kadie in tow.
What they both didn't know was that Dr. Sonam wasn't finished. There was more but they would soon find out on their own.

Amelia closed her eyes, confused. The doctor had recently come in and explained what happened to her during the incident with the helicopter and how she had suffered major head trauma in the process.
Then the doctor began flashing lights in her eyes and asking her questions Amelia really wished she knew the answers to. After the doctor had left, some brunette girl came in hugging her and telling her how happy she was that she was okay.
Then a boy who looked like her older brother came in and said the same thing, along with the African American boy who kept switching from "I'm glad your okay." To "You are an idiot for going out there!"
Amelia saw them leave with tears in their eyes though. She didn't understand why. It wasn't like anything was wrong with her. The doctor even told her she was perfectly fine and was ready to go home in a couple of days.
Wherever home was.
She was even more confused when the blonde girl tried explaining to her why she calls her Mia and not Amelia. It's because supposedly to Amelia, Mia is a nickname that she thinks suits her better than her own name.
But what was even more confusing was when this guy walked in and hugged her and started sputtering out how glad he was that she was okay. What really threw her off guard was when he told her how much he loved her and how he would never let her go again.
That's when she stopped him and told him, "I'm sorry. I think you got the wrong girl. Who are you?"
What she did know was that when she saw how heartbroken he was after asking that, she wish she could take it back, or at least, take away the pain she caused because now she knew one thing.
Before the accident, she must have loved him back or at least, thought she did for a second because if she didn't, he wouldn't be saying those things.
He wouldn't have told her, "I love you."
