"Mornin' Mia. Why are you up so early?" Sebastian asked as I walked through the hall near the student dorms.

Shrugging nonchalantly, I answered, "Boston is three hours ahead. Jet lag has still got a strong hold on me."

"Hope it comes off soon?"

"Definitely."

As I continued walking, Sebastian followed after debating on what to say. Giving him peace of mind I asked him, "Why are you up so early in the morning? You have training tomorrow."

Sebastian sighed in relief and ran up to me as if he wanted our conversation to last longer. That was a great idea because I wanted to know if this boy is the right guy for Bree. I don't want her ending up with another guy like Owen. Only used her for her beauty, no more no less.

Sebastian answered, "Kind of still shocked that your the Mia everyone's been talking about. It's great to finally meet you."

I laughed, "We met two days ago?"

"Yeah but not properly," sticking out his hand, he introduced, "Sebastian last name unknown, 19 years old...I think...and best friend...Chase..." He finished uncertain.

Receiving his hand shake, I greeted, "Amelia Renaldi/Falcon. Long story, best friends with all of them since sophomore year, and Leo since 2nd grade when I stole his sandwich. Weakness is Cyanide with Poppy."

"Cyanide and Poppy, what's that?"

"A type of stone and flower mixture. That's all I have to say about the matter."

Moving my hand away, I continue to walk down the hallway as he asked me more questions that I gave somewhat vague answers too. If he's a friend of Chase and Bree had crush on him, I can trust him...somewhat.

"Morning you two. How are you guys?" Chase asked, barley glancing at the brunettes as they arrived.

Mia shook her head, "Okay I guess. Come on Sebastian, let's go."

Right when Mia and Sebastian were about to leave, Chase made up an excuse for Sebastian to wait. He looked over at Mia who shrugged in response and walked inside.

Chase sighed in relief, he didn't want Mia to fall for him just as his sister did. That would be awkward and extremely annoying because Mia is still his.

And he's definitely sure of that.

"Wow, looks like we've learned a lot from you guys. Pretty soon I may be even smarter than you." Sebastian commented laughing. I overheard and walked over to the two boys who were talking to each other about progress.

It's true, the bionic soldiers have been progressing in their training but they'll never be as good as the original 3. In my opinion of course.

Chase laughed mockingly and patted his shoulder, "Don't ever say that again."

Sebastian was taken back so I reassured, "Don't worry Sebastian. Chase just takes a lot of pride in his super smarts."

That was when Mr. Davenport had called us out of class.

"So, how have things been doing here without me?" Mr. Davenport asked once we all exited the classroom.

Bree answered sighing, "Amazing!"

Elbowing her lightly, Bree corrected, "I mean...uh...'We miss you'."

"Don't worry Mr. Davenport," Sebastian reassured, "Adam, Bree, and Chase have been doing a great job. They're amazing mentors."

Mr. Davenport sighed in relief, "Well good. Maybe I could cut my trip short and head back to the mainland tomorrow."

Adam cheered, "Cool! He finally got the hint," until he realized how rude it was he corrected while making a terrible excuse of a hand heart, "I mean...uh...'She loves you'."

That's when Perry suddenly came bargin' in yelling, "Not so fast Donny-come-lately!" Shoving me aside, she continued, "Things around here aren't as peachy as the Droid babies," points at me, "and the superhero babysitter," returns back to Davenport, "say they are."

Leo scoffed, "Name one problem Sargent short-stack."

"Well for starters, they've been littering in the hallways-"

"That was you."

"-making rude gestures to passing coastguard ships-"

"Also you."

"-and stealing extra desert from the cafeteria."

Chase looked down at her shirt and gestured at the granola piece, "Seriously? Your wearing the evidence."

"That was from a different stolen meal!" She resorted.

I scoffed, "Same rule broken."

Mr. Davenport rolled his eyes, "Great. Your my head of security and your breaking all the rules."

Perry glared and defended, "Well I know I didn't steal a set of security cards from my security office so it had to be one of your students."

"These kids would not steal your key cards," Mr. Davenport told her, "Knowing you, you probably lost them."

"Hey! I will not have my employees talk to me like that."

"You work for me!"

"Keep telling yourself that boss man," Perry resorted until we began walking away. Frustrated, she yelled again, "Don't walk away! There's something sketchy going on!"

"Hey Chase. I've been meaning to ask you, am I doing ok with my training?" Sebastian asked once everyone left the beautiful new lab.

Chase nodded, "Yeah, of course. You're the best student here by far."

Sebastian smirked and complimented back, "Well, I did learn from the best."

"Can you say that again...but slower."

Sebastian just continued, "I just get so bored using the same abilities all the time. I wish I could unlock a new one like you did. You think you could do it for me?"

This was a red flag. Chase knew it so he told him, "No way. Only Mr. Davenport is authorized to do that. I could get into serious trouble."

He was doing the right thing not giving him new abilities. But Sebastian though otherwise.

Still not giving up, Sebastian regretfully sighed, "Your right. I just didn't think it was such a big deal. I mean, I thought that we were best friends."

Chase defended, "We are!"

"It's totally cool." Definitely didn't sound 'cool'.

Right before Sebastian was about to leave, Chase (regretfully) stopped him again, "Wait! I'll do it, but you can't tell anyone. Especially Mia."

"Done. Wait, especially Mia? Why?"

"Because if she found out, there's a high chance that this information may drive her friends to take her to the mainland to where that Ethan guy is." Chase answered, growling when he said Ethan.

Sebastian put that thought in mind.

"Hey Spin! Hey Mia!" Bob greeted us as he walked through the door of the training arena, "Ready for another great day of training?"

Placing his body in a quad-step stretch, Bob winced and immediately stood back up groaning, "All right, that's enough of that."

Patting his back I told him, "Don't push yourself Bob."

"Morning everyone," Leo greeted, stretching his arms out.

"Hey! Your late!"

"Yeah, well, your annoying so I guess we're even."

"Leo!" I gasped, slapping him in the arm, "Your suppose to be a role model for them."

His response was, "Ow!"

"Alright everybody, listen up. Today, we're gonna take it to the next level. Through a step by step mission where we had to shut down a particle collider." Chase told them as he walked over to the students.

"We were there!" Leo yelled wrapping his arm around my shoulders, "We were also on that mission. In fact, Mia here had to rush in there to push these guys out of harm's way. That's right, we mentored the mentors!"

Spin scoffed, "Liar, you guys weren't there."

"Actually they were. They saved our butts."

Adam sighed wistfully, "Yes they did. And it was then I realized that he and I would be friends for the rest...of that year."

Placing my hand on my hip, I asked, "And me?"

"Well the best friend role was taken by Leo and Bree and Chase here kind of filled the boyfriend role as well so..."

Chase looked over at him, "Wait? You wanted to date Mia?"

Adam nodded, "Yeah. I mean who wouldn't."

I rolled my eyes and removed Leo's arm from my shoulders as he exclaimed, "Moving on, I don't even know why I'm in the same group with these amateurs. They're the ones that need to learn, not me."

Leo really needs to learn when to shut up. I mean, that was rude. Their only kids.

"You know what I don't need to learn? How to kick your butt."

"Can you even reach that high?"

"Oh your about to find out!"

Jumping in between the two, Perry yelled, "Hey! Fight on your own time. Preferably in a large area where I can make a mud pit and charge for admission. I need to see you three outside."

Panic rose from within me and soon I found myself walking after them until Chase stopped me. Spinning around I was about to ask him what was going on till he suggested, "I need you to stay here with Leo."

"Why?" I asked, "I think Leo can handle himself."

Chase still didn't release my arm, "I know he can. It's just that this sounds serious and-"

"And you don't want me to get hurt. Chase I'll be fine."

Though he didn't give up because that isn't Chase. Instead he walked up to me and move the strand of brown hair that fell on my face gaining all my immediate attention on him.

My brown eyes stayed locked on his hazelnut green ones just like his being locked on mine. His hand stayed on my face, not moving...though I wasn't complaining.

"Mia...please?" He asked, barley above a whisper.

A tingle zipped through me the moment he had said my name. Something I hadn't felt in over the longest time.

Gripping onto his hand tightly, I whispered, "Okay...just...be careful."

"You'll be right here, right?"

"Always."

Hesitantly, Chase released the hold his hand had on mine, ran his finger across my jaw, and smiled softly. Believing that what I said was true, he had followed his siblings out the door.

What I said was true though.

I will always be right here.

Always.

"Mia, you alright?" Leo asked as he paused the story. My story. The one I let him take credit for.

Nodding, I returned my attention back towards him and said with a fake smile, "Yeah I'm fine. It's just that, I have a really bad feeling."

Leo gave me a small hug and returned to his story as I stared absent-mindedly at my hand where my ring should have been. Before I stupidly lost it. I'm an idiot. Just an idiot.

"Spoiler alert! We don't care!" Spin yelled annoyed waking me from my self pity talk.

Looking over at Leo, I patted his shoulder gaining his attention and said, "Leo he's right. I'll continue training them, after all I do have more experience with this sort of thing."

Leo waved me off and said, "Mia, don't be ridiculous. Of course they care and right now your sort of emotionally unstable with Chase gone and all. How you spent so long at Harvard without him will still be a mystery," turning his attention back to Spin, "Alright then smart guy. You don't care about today's training then you get to run sprints for the rest of the class."

"Ooooooh."

I growled, "Leo-"

Spin cut me off, "I don't think so. You may be living with the mentors but your still just a student. Your not in charge."

Suddenly Adam came in, "Hey Leo, we have to run to the weponds area so your in charge. Oh and Mia, Chase said stay."

Before I could resort, Adam had left the class leaving me to deal with Spin and Leo.

"So, you and Chase huh?" Asked Lexi as I watched Spin run.

"We're not a thing if that's what your suggesting."

"You're sure?" She asked confused, "Because it seems to me like you are. Or at least you're really important to him."

Raising an eyebrow at her she laughed at me and continued, "Oh don't look at me like that. Everyone kind of suspected that you two have a thing going on. I mean, that moment before he left had to have meant something right?"

"We're just really good friends."

"Whatever you say but I think we all know that's not true." And with that she jumped off the counter and began running with the rest of the class. Seriously Leo, leave the kids alone.

"Leo, I'm real worried," I told him as I stared at the running students.

Leo just shrugged, "Don't worry, they've got it all under contro-"

The alarm began to flash red as a voice boomed into the speaker, "Attention students, remain where you are. The Academy is on lock down. I repeat, the Academy is on lock down. This is not a drill."

The doors closed shutting us all inside. Something was definitely wrong and I can't be there at the moment.

Leo clapped his hands together, "or not."

"Whats going on?" Spin asked us and I answered sincerely, "I don't know Spin."

Bob sighed, "Who cares. As long as we don't have to keep running. "

Thinking for a moment, I suggested, "Leo, maybe I can transport myself out of here."

Shocked, he asked, "You can do that now?"

"Practice. " I answered back closing my eyes. That was when a huge shockwave pulsed through me and soon I was in Leo's arms almost passing out.

Moving me towards the door on the left where Spin and Bob were, he told me, "Maybe you should sit this one out Mia. You weren't the only one trying to see whats going on outside."

What, who?

Trying to ask, I opened my mouth and tried to speak but nothing came out. Leo didn't notice though. As Bob and Spin began to argue, I felt more of myself being drained out of me. The exact way it felt...when Marcus...

...killed me...

"Did you know about this?!" I heard Spin yell as someone dragged me across the floor.

"I didn't-I mean-It's just-That is just mest up!" Leo tried to defend himself as his thin arm snaked around my waist and raised me up in a leaning position.

"Leo, what's going on?" I asked hoarsly trying to keep myself upright but instead just held onto Leo tighter. This was certainly not my day.

Instead of answering, Mr. Davenport's voice flowed through the room, "Please believe me. I was planning on telling you about Krane eventually but I couldn't let anything interfere with teaching you to be bionic heroes. I needed you to trust-"

And all that was heard from then on was muttering between students.

"...Leo..."

"Mia relax. Don't worry okay. The more you worry, the more power you'll drain and soon you'll loose your powers like before." Leo told me, watching the students cautiously.

Soon another wave of pain went through me, making it feel as if it were ripping me to shreds.

"So where were we?" Sebastian asked Chase as his siblings went to go deal with Lexi and Tank. Smirking, Sebastian remembered, "Oh that's right, Davenport's a goner, I'm taking over the island, Mia's also probably gone-"

"Wait! What did you do to her?" Chase asked, panic rising within him. She had to be with Leo because at least Leo won't let them get within 10 feet of her.

Sebastian's smirk grew, "Oh, Lexi's power is to change the formation of molecules into anything she wants. That necklace she had on with the blue stone, Lexi managed to change it to a combination of Cyanide and Golden poppy dust."

The anger written on Chase's face was enough for Sebastian to stop this rebellion but he didn't. Biggest mistake made.

"What else am I forgetting?" Sebastian asked himself, "Oh yeah...this!"

Using some sort of upgraded power, Sebastian sent Chase flying back right next to his siblings. Helping him up, Sebastian continued, "Oh come on Chase! You should have seen that coming. After all, you are the one who unlocked the ability for me?"

The look on his siblings faces and knowing that Mia was hurt was enough for him to realize that he had made a mistake.

A huge mistake.

"So you two helped them destroy our creator too?!" Spin asked, infuriated.

Defending us, Leo said, "Uh no! Look we just met those guys like a week before you did. I don't even know the fast girl's name."

I had opened my mouth to tell him her name till he began to shush me though Spin noticed.

Scoffing, Spin told us glaring, "Nice try."

"Look, Krane was evil!" Leo tried telling them, "He kept you in a junk yard under lock and key."

"Isn't that the same thing Mr. Davenport is doing? Keeping us all locked up in here on this island!"

Spin had a point...

"No, well yes but we have central air."

Leo also had a good point...

I think whatever has gone wrong has officially spread towards my head. Argh, another shockwave. This time, I think Leo felt it because he winced when I shook.

Spin growled, "Is that why we're forced to wear the same clothes, complete training exercises-"

"You know what, I actually like the clothes-"

"Quiet Bob!"

"I hate these clothes."

Clothes? Why were they arguing about clothes? Did Mr. Davenport give them some clothes? I honestly don't remember. Where's Chase? Shouldn't he be here by now? Did something go wrong?

With those thoughts in mind, I tried to squirm out of Leo's surprisingly strong grasp but no use. Stupid bionic arm.

Suddenly another voice boomed through the speakers, "Listen up bionic soldiers! Now you all know the truth. The Davenport, the man who pretends to be your savior is actually your jailor! And it's time to take back your freedom."

The students chanted after, "Freedom!"

Leo chanted as well, "Or keep things the way they are." Grabbing my hand, he pumped it in the air and screamed, "Are!"

Followed after another scream of pain from me earning him a glare from Chase who was on the monitor. Noticing his glare, Leo began to rub my arm soothingly as he focused his attention back on Sebastian.

"Are you gonna stand by the people who destroyed your leader, or are you gonna join me and my rebellion!"

All students chanted after, "Rebellion!"

Panicked, Leo says in a different voice to throw them off, "I say we sleep on it."

When they all look over to him, he points down at me earning him another glare.

The students continued to shout out 'Rebellion' over and over again making me shudder. My ears are beginning to get sensitive.

Sebastian smirked at them chanting along and once we caught his eye, we knew it was over. In a commanding tone, he ordered the students, "Soldiers, if your truly committed to this rebellion it's time for you to prove yourselves. Your first order, Take. Out. Leo and Mia."

"Nooo!" Adam, Bree, and Chase yelled as the screen went blank.

And so did the world around me.

"Once I have my bionic army, anyone who stands in our way will be eliminated." Sebastian growled as he attacked Chase.

Dodging his attack, Chase growled back, "Alright, that's it. We are no longer friends and by the way, no one touches my girlfriend!"

And they continued to attack one another.

"Mia, just stay with me okay." I heard Leo tell me as he held up one of his arms towards them.

Nodding slightly, I whispered, "Promise."

The students began to attack us again but Leo launched another ball and yelled, "Back off or the next one's not gonna miss!"

Shoving Bob and Spin to the side, Leo pleaded, "Come on! If the tables were turned I'd help you! Like, say for instance, I don't know, you call me in a panic while you were stuck in quick sand."

Bob laughed, "Hey, that actually happened."

Once another shockwave ripped through me again blocking out all senses I realized that I had to do something. Leaning against Leo won't do much but cause problems.

Sighing, I mumbled, "May we think of freedom, not as the right to do as we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right."

Leo smiled softly at me and said, "Mia's right. Sebastian is just gonna control you the same way Krane did. Big D gave you the best gift anyone can have. The freedom to think for yourselves."

Spin and Bob both looked down, having a moment to recollect themselves. Making up their minds, Bob cheered, "Yes! Finally, I get to think for myself! Spin, what do I do?"

Still thinking Spin needed convincing, Leo continued, "Look, Krane didn't care about you. At least Big D does. If you won't do it for me, do it for him. Please! He deserves a chance to explain everything. You at least owe him that."

"Fine." Spin sighed, "But how are you gonna get out of here? We're on lock down and you have Mia to worry about."

"Don't worry about Mia," Leo reassured, "The faster I get her to Chase, the sooner she'll make it out alright. Maybe someone can spin through the floor like a drill so I can tunnel out with her."

Bob comes into 'realization', "On it."

Right before he was going to start spinning, I stopped him and said, "Bob sweetheart, I think they......"

"Mia stop-"

"....I think they maybe meant Spin."

Spin scoffed, "Maybe? Some of us have had our bionics for longer than a week."

"Okay, setting down Turbo. No need to get snappy with the lady and by the way. She's super, not bionic. We need to create a distraction, turn their attention to another target."

When Bob didn't get the message Spin had yelled that he was the target. Bob didn't mind much, saying that it wasn't the first time someone used him as a target and went to do his job. Made me wonder why would they use a young boy as a target but then I realized, Krane is an insane man.

Once Bob was gone, Spin began tunneling his way down as Leo managed to find a way to carry me bridal style. When Spin returned, he looked like one of the little rascals.

"There, that'll get you through the vent system. You won't be able to see anything but you can feel your way and crawl to the other side."

"Got it. Thanks. You did the right thing."

And with that, Leo had hopped through the vents with me in his arms.

"Chase..." I whispered hoarsly once I opened my eyes again to see him huddled in the corner with his siblings.

Placing me down, Chase told his siblings, "Don't let her out of your sight." Before rolling onto the battlefield.

Bree nodded, "On it." Looking back at me she whispered, "Mia, don't move."

And she jumped after him as well.

Not letting me out of their sights worked great.

Turning my head to the side, I noticed Adam jumping out as well before running back towards his hiding place. Why'd he do that, I'll never know. I probably do know, but just can't understand why yet.

Just like I can't understand why Sebastian looks like one of those 4th of July fireworks displays. He looks like he's in a lot of pain but also looks really pretty. Is there an explosion at the end? I hope not. That would be gross.

"Your rebellion is over," Chase told Sebastian, shoving him to the ground as he finished spasing out.

That was when Bree remembered something, "Wait! What about Mr. Davenport?"

In a second they all ran over to the computer as Adam made his way over to me and picked me up bridal style before returning towards his siblings.

Once Leo and Chase were typing furious onto the screen, Adam asked, "Wait, why can't we see anything?"

Leo answered, "The oxygen level in the hydra loops at...0."

Squirming out of Adam's chest, I managed to make my way towards Leo and somewhat give him a hug. This is exactly the way he looked after his parents...I think you get the picture.

Leo hugged back, obviously happy someone was holding onto him. Even though he won't admit it, Leo likes to be held. Reminds him of the times his grandfather use too before he passed away.

"Will you stop sweating on me!"

"That's not sweat! My mayo packets exploded."

As gross as that sounds, I'm way to happy to care. Everyone turned and sighed in relief. Mr. Davenport and Perry made their way towards us looking like a mess. Well, to be fair, when does Perry not look like a mess?

Chase was the first one to speak, "Your alive."

"How did you escape?" Bree asked.

"Found an emergency escape pod in the hydra loop." Perry answered, "Who knew?"

Mr. Davenport agreed, "Yeah, I really need to start attending those safety meetings."

Leaning against the cyber desk, I drowsily stated, "That doesn't look big enough for the two of you."

"It's not."

Perry scoffed and resorted, pointing down at the small orange tube, "Oh please. I've wiggled into smaller things than that with bigger men than you."

I shivered. Did not need to know that.

Once Perry was gone, Mr. Davenport looked back over to me and asked them, "What's up with Mia?"

That's when everyone's eyes widened suddenly remembering that I wasn't ok. Placing his arm around my hip, Chase told them, "Good luck with the students." Before dragging me to the medic.

"Well, Ms. Falcon here is going to be fine but she is going to be a bit out of it for a few days." My mother's private doctor told Chase once the necklace was removed and my powers were forced back. It was painful but I'm okay. The pain's survivable. At least I'm not dead.

Chase asked, "Is there any medication she needs to take? Painkillers that are required?"

"You heard the screaming didn't you?"

"Sadly."

The doctor gave him a sad smile, "Sorry about that. No, she won't need any painkillers. Just rest. She might even forget this whole experience altogether due to how much the stone's drained."

Glancing over to me, Chase sighed, "Probably for the best. It's not really an experience worth remembering."

The doctor patted his shoulder and told him, "It's good that she has such a loving boyfriend like you to take care of her."

Chase was about to argue on that till I began to laugh a bit due to the fact that the doctor called me his girlfriend.

Once the doctor left, I giggled and told Chase, "Hi."

Shaking his head, he lifted me up bridal style as I continued to giggle like a schoolgirl.

"Can I tell you a secret?" I whispered/asked him, once he placed me onto my bed.

Chase rolled his eyes amused, "Sure. What is it?"

Grabbing the back of his head, I ran my fingers through his hair before smashing our lips together. Chase had froze completely and still stayed that way even when my lips were no longer on his.

Giggling once again, I whispered, "Shhh! Don't tell no one. It's a secret."

And with that, I had fallen down completely onto my bed and fell asleep. Chase only stared at me for a second, licked his lips and mumbled, "How come her lips taste like my lip balm?"
