Cherry Blossom
The day started off as normal. Seonghwa helped Wooyoung make breakfast this time with Yeosang and Sooji. The little girl woke up wide awake as soon as she smelled maple syrup and immediately came running. She grew even more excited when she realizes that they are making what Hongjoong calls, breakfast bombs.
"I wanna do the eggs mama," Sooji comments, pulling a bar stool up to the counter.
"If you crack them you need to wash your hands really well okay?" Wooyoung warns her, "Go wash up and then you wash up after."
She giggles, rushing to the sink and allowing Yeosang to help her wash her hands before drying them thoroughly and rushing back over to Wooyoung. Seonghwa chuckles as he adjusts Minjun on his back in his sling, the baby was having a ball watching over Seonghwa's shoulder as his mother fried bacon and sausage for their bombs.
"We haven't had these in a while," Yeosang comments, "You can tell how excited she is."
"What are they exactly?" Seonghwa asks, frowning.
"It's bacon, scrambled eggs, sausage, and cheese stuffed inside of a sweet biscuit!!" Sooji exclaims, bouncing on the counter excitedly.
"Settle down chick, or you'll be banned to the floor and won't be helping," Wooyoung laughs, "We really don't need you falling and getting hurt."
"I won't get hurt mom!" Sooji sasses, rolling her eyes as she brushes her hair out of her face.
"Yep, definitely your kid," Hongjoong comments, laughing.
Wooyoung sticks his tongue out at the Beta, shaking his butt at Hongjoong before going back to whisking the eggs again after adding seasoning. Seonghwa couldn't help but chuckle, but then remembers the blanket, "So I have another courting gift idea."
"Oh?!" Yeosang perks up, his hands never stop kneading the dough for the biscuits, "Care to share?"
"He has this blanket-"
Everyone groans and Yeosang couldn't help but giggle as Hongjoong rolls his eyes, "Oh yeah, the blanket."
"I got in trouble one time for washing the blanket and not being careful," Wooyoung snorts, "If he's so concerned about the fragility of the thing he needs to wash it!"
"It was his blanket his mother gave him," Seonghwa continues.
"And he sleeps with it every night, did he tell you that?" Yeosang smirks.
"Sang! Don't tell him that you will scare him away!" Hongjoong scolds.
"Well, he's gonna learn one day," Yeosang shrugs.
"But not now!" Hongjoong sighs, turning to Seonghwa, "We all know about the blanket, but what is your idea?"
"Well... he gave it to Minjun but I don't want him giving it to my son when it means so much to him... so I thought about fixing it?" Seonghwa questions, "I've sewn before at the laboratory, but I've never knitted or crocheted, or anything like that so I wouldn't know where to begin..."
"We actually have a bunch of yarn and quilting supplies!" Wooyoung perks up, "I actually know how to knit! I learned how to when I was pregnant with Soo. So if you want, I can teach you? And if you don't want to use the fabric we have or the yarn we have, we can go to the market and go shopping!"
"Oh! Yes I actually need medical supplies," Hongjoong comments.
"Yes and I actually need something for Jongho's next courting gift," Yeosang smiles, "Hopefully last. I'm ready to be his mate I'm just waiting for him to ask me."
"Oh that won't be long," Wooyoung smirks, "I think he's ready too."
"Why not go today?" Hongjoong asks, "Take the kiddos and we can all have a mommy baby day! And maybe convince Mingi to give us the credit card to eat out?"
"Fuck yes, I am liking this idea," Yeosang smirks, looking over to Sooji, "Don't say that word."
"I won't," she chirps, "But mommy did say I could say curse words unless I plan to hurt someone with them, then I won't be allowed to say them."
"Hanji will be so thrilled! He hasn't been since he was 3 and he keeps asking why we haven't went in so long," Hongjoong hums, helping Seonghwa plate the bacon and sausage before taking the eggs from Wooyoung, "Alright, meats done, eggs are next."
It didn't take much convincing for Mingi to be okay with the omegas and children all going out to the markets. In fact, he even encouraged it and said we all needed to get out of the house to let the children experience the town a bit, knowing it was a treat for all of them. He requested that they brought back plenty of supplies and that they take off the hides from their kills to the leather makers so they have money to put aside.
"And yes, I am fine with you all going out to eat," Mingi chuckles, "Where will you be going?"
"This one place that you may or may not know about," Wooyoung smirks, teasing the alpha by looking at each omega and winking.
They had no idea what he was talking about, but they followed the gesture and winked as well back. Mingi narrows his eyes before looking to Seonghwa, "Where are you going my Star?"
Seonghwa blushes, eyebrows raising as he looks to Wooyoung for help. The omega ignored him, leaving Seonghwa to smile sheepishly and shrug his shoulders, "Oh you know darling, that one place that you may or may not know about."
Hongjoong snorts, Yeosang covers his mouth and Wooyoung giggles evilly. Mingi purses his lips, looking to the others at the table, "I don't like how you've corrupted him."
"We didn't do anything," Yeosang laughs, "That was all him!"
"Well wherever you go, please be careful," he looks back to Seonghwa and smiles softly, "Especially you, my Star."
"We will be fine! Hey can we take the pack phones?" Wooyoung asks, standing to clear his and San's plates and checking up on his children.
"Yes, take one but leave the other for me so that way if you need to get ahold of me you can. You can take the credit card too if you promise that you will drop-"
"We will take the hides yes alpha," Yeosang stands as well, kissing Jongho's cheek before taking his empty plate as well to give to Wooyoung to wash.
"Man I want to go now," San pouts, crossing his arms across his chest.
"We have lots to do," Mingi chuckles, "With the omegas and children gone, we all actually need to go on a hunt and fill up our freezer in the shed for winter. I want to get as much stocked as I can, according to the Farmer's almanac, it's going to be a tough one."
"That would be a great idea," Seonghwa smiles, kissing Mingi's cheek, "You guys take care of the hunting, which I know you all love, and we will take care of the supplies needed for winter. How does this sound?"
"Like a plan my Star," Mingi chuckles, kissing the omega before patting the table, "Alright, let's get a move on! Everyone knows the rules, be back before dark and always check in every hour or two so I know you're all safe. Wooyoung, since you asked for the phone you are in charge of it so that means if I call you better answer."
Everyone agreed and split up. The omegas and children quickly got dressed and cleaned up from breakfast while the alphas helped gather what they needed and placed the items in the van. They had a large van like bus that they use to transport all of the children and really the pack in general once a month for supply runs. Once all of the animal hides were packed away, Mingi places his hands on Seonghwa's hips, "Please be careful, especially since-"
"I will be fine darling," Seonghwa smiles, cupping his face with one hand while the other held Minjun close to him, "I have the others here to protect me, and I know what to do if I get separated."
"Good. Just please come back to me," Mingi whispers, his dark eyes locked onto Seonghwa's.
"I will, and you be careful going hunting. Yunho said that hunters were setting traps around this time of year."
"We will be fine," Mingi nods, kissing Seonghwa's face all over before he looks to Minjun, tapping his nose softly, "and you be good for your mama. I will see you both when you come home."
"Come on already!!" Wooyoung cries out, "He's not dying he's just leaving for a few hours!"
"We are running out of daylight love birds!" Yeosang calls out, hearing all of the children and omegas giggle in the van.
Mingi growls, but before he pulls away he places one more kiss on both Seonghwa and Minjun's head before he too went off towards where the alphas were waiting for him at the tree line.
Seonghwa chuckles, handing Minjun to Hongjoong so he could get the child buckled before hopping into the drivers seat, "Alright! Everyone settled and ready?"
"Yeah!!" Everyone cheered, Hongjoong laughs before turning the van on and putting it in drive.

Seonghwa is amazed with the many different, colorful stands full of pelts, meat, cheeses, breads, and even jewelry and accessories. Everyone stayed pretty much together as they looked at each stand, just looking to see what caught their eyes or if they had something they could possibly need. They had plenty of money after selling their pelts, so they may not even need the pack credit card.
Taking the children was sort of a hassle, each one of the older children wanted to touch and look at everything while the two babies grew fussy from being in their slings and wanted to also look at everything. Luckily it wasn't too hot for them to be in their sling pouches, their little bodies next to their mother's bodies made the mother feel much warmer with the slightly chilly, early fall weather.
Thankfully they brought baskets to carry their supplies in and bags to carry what goods they needed. Once they were done shopping for their supplies, they drop everything off at the van before going back to look at more bags and toys, even some necessities for the children. Wooyoung makes a noise of surprise, "Guys look at this rocking chair! We need one for the nursery!"
"We have one already," Hongjoong comments, "It's not that old."
"It's seven years old," Yeosang shrugs, "It's pretty old."
"But it's still in great condition," Hongjoong huffs, "Look, we don't have any way of transporting it. If we get it, we'd have to go get the trailer and come back and I don't want to drive ninety miles today going to and back from the house to the market!"
"That does put a lot of miles on the van," Yeosang hums, "We'll ask Mingi and see what he says. I'm sure he would want something better quality and more comfortable in case one of us has a baby."
"Yeah, you're right," Wooyoung pouts, looking at the price before whining, "But it's such a good price!"
"No Wooyoung," Hongjoong calls out, moving along with everyone else while Wooyoung tails the end.
"Mama, I'm hungry," Hanji whines, tugging on Hongjoong's hand.
"You are baby?" Hongjoong asks, looking around, "If I get you something to snack on you have to still eat your lunch okay? We're leaving soon we're just looking around."
"Okay!" Hanji perks up, "I can share with Sooji noona!"
"That would be so kind of you my sweet boy," Hongjoong smiles, kissing his hand, "You are the sweetest little man I know."
"There's a little stand over here! Right next to the fabrics and quilting stand, so Seonghwa you can go check that out and we'll be right next to you," Wooyoung smiles, adjusting his toddler in his sling before grabbing his daughter's hand.
"Here," Yeosang gave him some money, "Just in case you find something you love."
"Thank you," Seonghwa smiles, "I'll just get some random fabrics. Maybe I can make him a whole new blanket instead of trying to fix this one up?"
"Or," Hongjoong drawls out, smiling, "you could surround his blanket with new material and make a big mating blanket! His old baby blanket will be in the middle!"
"That's an excellent idea!" Wooyoung chimes in, bouncing excitedly, "He might want to mate you right then and there."
Seonghwa bites his lip. He wants that, he really, really wants to mate with Mingi. He's just so scared of everything. He knows, based on what Hongjoong and Yeosang has told him, what mating was. And he knows it requires sex, but he can't help but think back to his first heat... how vulnerable and how weak he was... helpless.
"Hey, we told you before that we will help you," Hongjoong nods, taking Seonghwa's hand, "No one is immediately ready after what happens to them when they're assaulted. Some aren't even ready at all. And that's okay. Either way, mating is not fully just sex, it is more personal, more intimate than that. But, we have time before it happens. So go get your materials, we'll get the kids a small snack and then we'll go eat!"
Seonghwa nods, and parts from the group. He walks over to the stand where a sweet omega sat in a rocking chair knitting what looks to be a baby blanket. Seonghwa smiles, waving to him, "Good afternoon!"
"Well hello!" The omega chuckles, setting aside his knitting and standing, "What can I get for you my dear?"
"I'm actually here to buy some fabric," Seonghwa pulls out the baby blanket in his diaper bag and showing her, "This is... my mate's baby blanket and I wanted to fix it. But it looks as if it's been knitted or crocheted and quilted. I was wondering if you could help me?"
"Why yes," he hums, putting on his glasses and looking it over, "It appears that they used both a crochet AND a quilting technique. Must have needed to use up their supplies," he chuckles before handing the blanket back, "Well, what do you know how to do? Based on the edges and how they are crocheted, I will say it's probably best to crochet around the quilted middle so that it's even."
"But what if I wanted to do both?" Seonghwa asks, "Crochet a row, and then quilt around it and repeat until it's a big enough blanket for him?"
The omega frowns, eyes wandering to his neck and narrowing even more before he replies, "You're not mated."
"I... no... not yet. But we're courting," Seonghwa whispers, biting his lip, "This blanket means a lot to him and he tried to give it to my son for comfort but-"
"It's alright," the omega chuckles, waving a hand, "I'm not going to turn you in for not being mated and having a child," he smiles sweetly to Minjun who was watching over Seonghwa's shoulder curiously. The omega chuckles, "Let me help you."
It took a moment, but once Seonghwa found the fabric and yarn he needed he happily paid the omega and went on his way. Everyone was waiting outside for him, all of the children must have ate their snack because their little faces were messy and their hands were empty. Yeosang smiles, "Got it?"
"Got it!" Seonghwa smiles, "Let's go eat, I'm starving."
