Kari felt herself shaking. She could feel the trembling. She could feel herself breathing quickly, hyperventilating. However, she also couldn't feel it. She couldn't believe this was happening. 

"Mom? Dad?" She felt the words leave her mouth. She felt tears falling down her face, and she could see the blood, but she was blind, numb. She wouldn't accept it.

She had brought her brothers to Ivy's house a few minutes prior, because she was sensing danger. Angrily, she looked around. Trying to find who did it, she didn't notice the culprit was right behind her.

She gasped as she was hit with a baseball bat from behind, falling.

"I would kill you, but I could probably make some money sending you to that laboratory." The man roughly grabbed her by her hood and pulled her behind him. The world faded to darkness.
