The Country-
Côte du Soleil, "Sun Coast", is actually a large country, named after its capital. It is currently on the verge of war with Nessuna Pace, an Italian country. The king of Côte du Soleil hopes that the Selection will take his subjects' minds off the possibility of war.

The Selection-
The Selection of Côte du Soleil is an old tradition where the crown prince invites 15 of the country's female subjects into the palace and has the chance to fall in love with the whole country watching. The Selection is widely celebrated across the country, and the royal families of Côte du Soleil spares no expense.

The Royal Family-
King Vertu d'Éclat is a strong king, but ever since the lost of his wife, he became a terrible father to the twins, Prince Charmant d'Éclat and Princess Chéri d'Éclat. They were 10 when their mother died, so they were pretty much raised by nannies.
