Three times Swara doubted Sanskaar & one time she did not

# 1

Swara was suspicious. She wasn't convinced that this elusive Sanskaar was mentally unstable. He had come so abruptly in their lives. Laksh and his aunt had hugged him tearfully. And seeing him mad had broken their hearts.

But the moment their eyes met...

She was almost sure that he was feigning madness. Those eyes were too sharp to belong to a mad man. Then she started to take notice of his action. His movements and speech were so precisely constructed that it was hard to believe.

Then the time came when he oh so convincingly fixed Laksh and Ragini's marriage. And to be honest, she wasn't happy at all. Ragini was such an innocent girl and Lucky was just a bad news. That brat is OK friend but as a marriage material? he is below average. Wasn't breaking off the engagement once enough? And now he is back?

And she could bet her life on it that it was just to get a nursemaid for his brother rather than a wife for himself. And who is to guarantee that he would not be womanising behind Ragini's back once his motive is fulfilled. But does anyone listen to her...

NO

She had tried to convince Ragini of that theory or at least raise a suspicion in her mind but the girl lives in fairyland where everyone is made of gold. She tried to reason it to her mother too. She listened, but her grandmother has taken an oath to never believe them so her father is helpless, Again(surprise, surprise)....

That's why she had to resort to this cheap trick. Drugging a possibly mentally challenged person using his soft spot for kheer is a low blow but everything is fair in love and war. But again, This is for the love for her sister and war against a possibly hostile creature.

With a shuddering breathe she steeled herself and mixed the drugs in his kheer.......

Swara was in a shock. She had just come back from outside where she had just witnessed Sanskaar set an evidence on fire. Things have been tense in the house ever since Ragini's kidnapping. Or should she say since forever. This madhouse has been trouble magnet ever since the first dawn. So this incident wasn't that much of a big surprise, to be honest.

While she wasn't that big of fan of her half sister right now, she couldn't overlook the fact that the harpy had gone through quite a tough shit. And as per her nature she was curious, who the hell was kidnapper?

Then not so surprisingly they found the incriminating red blanket among her possession. And then things went downhill.

Everything passed in blur. Badimom flinging blame on her, Laksh doing very same thing on her 'husband' and Sanskaar very calmly trying to reign in the hyteria. But the thing is, no-one was getting anywhere in this confusion.

Then suddenly she saw Sanskaar walking out of the house with a suspicious package and quickly setting the blanket on fire.

But why? Why would he do that? For what purpose? Sanskaar had turned over a new leaf and become the man he had been before straying on the path of vengeance. Then why so suddenly? Was he mad at Ragini? For what she had done to her? Lately Sanskaar has gotten weirdly protective over her, trying to take each and every blow for her. And Ragini has not stopped with her crazy scheming. Was he pissed over the fact that she had not heeded to his warning? That she was taking him too lightly?

Or was he trying to scare her away from harming her? Sanskaar was very very smart man, who could plan in multiple layers. He was capable of only God knows what and it sometimes gave her chills. She hopes Ragini sets herself straight because Sanskaar was her 'Guru'. He could do anything. Take Laksh's kidnapping for example. If not for her own reluctance, Sanskaar's plan would have saved them from the farce of this marriage. But since she had really iron clad morals(pretty inconvenient in such sticky situation) Sanskaar was stuck with her. All in all, Sanskaar was pretty ruthless guy and boy was she glad that he was good man on her side..

Or was he?

She had been so, so confused. All those people, who the fuck were they? So tearfully hugging her as if she was their child kidnapped out of her cradle...

Seriously? And no one, except for her, no one had raised alarm that those strangers were hogging her personal space. Out of politeness she had hugged them back but she was sure that confusion had shone like bloody sun of broad daylight on her face. Were these people blind too?

Then she had peeked a look at her mother, and lo and behold, her Maa looked sentimental too.
She had almost screamed "Will anyone fucking tell who, in seven realms of hell, are these people?" But her eyes had landed on the Mangalsutra on her Maa's neck and her brain was ready to short circuit. Her mother had been a single mother and was not married the last time she had checked. When the hell had that happened?

Then in the flurry of roses and bouquet, a man in shaggy unkempt look had come infront of her and with a horror on her face, she had passed out(though not without screaming "murderer" on his face)

Lots of confusing things had happened since then. That man, who she found out was named Sanskaar, was her (supposedly) half sister's brother-in-law and was her husband too. He apparently was madly in love with her. But she really doubted that.

If he was so in love with her, so devoted to her why the hell did he try to kill her? She clearly remembers him firing a gun at her and that splash of blood.

No can do. She won't be convinced that her would be murderer was her husband, who also loved her like no other. As if(scoff). He just probably was keeping up a facade Infront of the family and wanted to kill her again when everyone was enveloped into false sense of security.

Afterall she herself had seen him giving money to those thugs after they tried to assault her.

So what if he gave up his room, and left his own home because she was uncomfortable with him around.

It was just an act and she did not trust this man....

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
She was sure he would understand. Afterall, she was doing this for him.
So what if he had made her promise on His life that she would turn her back on rest of the family. She could clearly see him struggling with his emotions over how he missed them all.
His badepapa had been his guide for his whole life. His badimaa was his maa, (though a bit unstable in her opinion) who had given him all the love and adoration with a sense of maturity, he had desired since childhood. Lucky was his best friend with how close in age they were. Even Adarsh Bhaiyya and Pari Bhabhi...
Who was he trying to fool. He missed them and needed them back in his life. And as HIS Swara, she needed to sooth his trampled heart. As his wife it is her duty to give him what he needed, even if it's something he did not want. And heaven forbid if someone tries to fuck up her mission. She's gonna get that circus back even if it's the last thing she ever did. With or with out that crackpot Ragini(don't get her wrong, she still loves her sister but she sometimes displays the symptoms of DID and that's tiresome)
So now about her husband. Sanskaar must be the most amazing husband to grace this green green earth. She never knew such a patient man existed in this world. Take her father for example. She wouldn't wish that kind of husband on her worst enemy(get the hint, Ragini).
But her Sanskaar? He's the epitome of wisdom and patience. She's sure that once he sees his family back together truly, he'll forget all about this ridiculous promise.
So what if she's going against his promise... She has no doubt that Sanskaar will understand, just like always
Who knew it was gonna backfire and blow in her face....
