Ravenpaw||

Ravenpaw's eyes were filled with worry. Lillypaw had been gone for who knows how long, and she still hadn't come back. He let out a sigh of relief as he caught a glimpse of the tortoiseshell pad into camp behind a group of warriors. She was talking to Poppyflight, one of the recently made warriors, but also one of Rainstar's most trusted warriors. Sedgepaw raced up to them and dragged Lillypaw away, getting a sweet smile from Coldpelt while doing so. Of course, she loves him. Who doesn't?
Knowing that he wasn't going to get any attention from the pair, he headed to the medicine den to see if Birchberry needed any help. As he stepped inside, the overwhelming scent of chervil filled his nose, and he saw Birchberry's small figure in the corner of the cracked log they were in. Peering over her shoulder, he saw that she was busy applying chervil leaves onto a wound in Rabbitpounce's paw.
Clearing his throat to make his presence known, he spoke softly so he didn't bother the she-cat while she was working. "Um...Birchberry? Is there anything I can help you with?" He asked her, and her response was almost immediate. "Oh, Ravenpaw! Thank StarClan you're here!" She turned around to face him. "I have so much to do now that I have learned of the coming stor-"She paused as she saw the look of confusion plastered on the toms' face. "Well...Rainstar has told me that he has had a dream from StarClan saying that there will be a powerful storm, and we need to be prepared. Now, if you could kindly go into the forest and find me some cobwebs, dock, juniper berries, and goldenrod, it would mean the world to a medicine cat like me. My paws won't be able to handle all of that." He turned away from her and walked out of the den, unable to take all of her chatter. The last thing he heard from her was, "Thank you, and don't forget the herbs I need!" She started rattling off the list again. "Cobwebs, dock, juniper berries, and golden..."Her voice faded as he walked farther away.
Ravenpaw walked in silence as he looked for the herbs Birchberry needed. He never really thought much of his past, his origins, who his parents were. It was never really a thought that struck him. Until now. Unlike most kits, Ravenpaw and Sedgepaw's parents didn't want them to know their true identity. He didn't understand why, but he respected their decision. Everybody in the Clan seemed to favor Sedgepaw over Ravenpaw, which didn't really help him in any way shape or form. There wasn't much he could remember from when his parents were still around. Thinking back on his clanmates and their appearances, he noticed that NONE of his clanmates looked anything like him. What if he came from another Clan? What if he was a half-blood? What if he was the son of a kittypet? What if-What if his parents already died?
Lost in thought, Ravenpaw didn't realize that he walked past the border...and right in front of a barn. And sitting in front of him was a she-cat. A beautiful she-cat for that matter. He took in all her features and felt his pelt heat when he realized she was waiting for him to introduce himself. "Oh! Sorry, my name is-" He was surprised when she cut him off. "Don't worry, I know who you are. You're Sedgepaw, Lillypaw's best friend. I'm Minnow. Nice to finally meet you. Lillypaw told me all about you. I think she forgot to add very good-looking. Lithe for that matter as well. Too bad you're already taken." She smiled a shy smile. "Actually, I-" She cut him off again. At this point, he was worried about what else Lillypaw had told her. Wait, Lillypaw knows her? And she didn't tell Sedgepaw?
"No need to explain why you're here. Lillypaw probably wants to deliver me a message. She's very sweet. So, what does she say? Does she miss me? Does she have any stories to tell? Does that annoying bother of a brother you have still live in FogClan? Do-" Now he cut her off. "Wait. She told you that Ravenpaw is annoying?" He asked, slightly hurt by her words. "No, she didn't get to describe him," He let out a sigh of relief. "But, he seems very annoying. Is he?" He didn't know what to say. She thought he was Sedgepaw."Well, everybody thinks he is." She responded almost immediately, her eyes glittering with happiness. "Including you?" He hesitated. He could put himself down, and risk everything, or he could tell her that he was Ravenpaw, and lose the chance of having a friend.
"Yeah, I do, but who doesn't?" He laughed, his green eyes sparkling. "Wow, he must feel amazing to have a littermate like you," She joked, laughing as she spoke. "Do you wanna come hunting with me? It could help us get to know each other better!" She said, obviously wanting him to say yes. Since he didn't really have any other plans, he agreed. "Sure! Lillypaw won't mind me hanging out with another she-cat for one day, right?" She smiled again, but this time her sharp white teeth shone in the moonlight.
As they walked in the forest, Ravenpaw found himself acting more and more like his brother, but he also found himself falling for the she-cat. Hard. Her personality was so much better than Lillypaw's, and they both got along extremely well together. She was telling him all about her life as a loner, and he told her about life in a Clan through his eyes. They sat down in the middle of a clearing, and Ravenpaw made the risky move of resting his tail on her shoulder like he'd seen Sedgepaw do so many times to Lillypaw. And surprisingly, she let him do it. They sat like that for a decent amount of time, the silence enveloping them like a cozy moss nest. Then, Minnow said something that he never expected would come out of a loner's mouth. "I wanna go to your Clan. Not to live there, just to visit." Ravenpaw's fur went on end, and he thought of all the possible things that could happen. In order for her to visit, she would need to stay.
