Ravengaze||

Ravengaze was never more surprised when he walked into camp and saw a pile of bones. Two gray cats sat on the other side of camp, talking to Birchberry and Coldpelt. Coldpelt shifted every so often, clearly uncomfortable with them. Birchberry would lean over and whisper something to her, and she would respond with a couple of quiet whispers. Ravengaze wasn't the only one who was stunned at the fact of the two new arrivals and the pile of bones. The entire Clan slowly started to enter the camp, and cats started to crowd around one cat in particular. Lillypaw.
He hadn't noticed Lillypaw's ragged form before, hunched over and hidden. She seemed sad, and she lay next to the pile of bones as if it were sacred. Then he realized it was. Not only was it sacred to her, but it was sacred to the rest of the Clan. She was grieving. Grieving for her father. Her only kin. Her leader. And what made it worse was that she didn't seem as upset as he expected. She seemed angry as if she had been threatened.
Her eyes were narrowed, and she had one target in particular. She was facing a tom, one of the arrivals. He had fluffy gray fur and white ear tufts. Dark gray stripes slithered across his back and led down to his tail tip. He was talking with the group around him, but Ravengaze saw him make eye contact with Lillypaw. He knew something that Lillypaw didn't like. And Ravengaze was determined to figure it out.
Making sure that Coldpelt wasn't watching, he approached Lillypaw and shoved through the cats around her. Looking down at her, he took a deep breath before speaking.
"Um...I'm sorry for your loss." She didn't move. "I know he's watching you from StarClan." Still no movement. "That gray tom over keeps looking at you..." She looked up at him and hissed. Bags rested under her eyes, and even though she tried to act emotionless and upset, her eyes gave her away. A glimmer of sadness sparkled through and showed she wasn't really what she tried to be. When Ravengaze didn't show any signs of worry, she let down her shield and let everything go. Although she didn't say anything, Ravengaze knew that she was trying her best not to break down. Knowing she needed some time alone, the black tom left her side and decided to check out the two new cats.
The other tom, sitting next to the striped one was calm. He was gray as well, but slightly darker in tone and slightly larger in frame. His paws were white as snow, though FogClan didn't get much of it, and his face was jet black, like the lonely nights where Ravengaze felt alone and useless. His chest fur was white, like his paws, and traces of black led from his shoulders to the end of his legs. Bright yellow eyes rested among what seemed like thousands of whiskers, a gleam of something mysterious resting beneath them. If he didn't know any better, there was definitely something off about him, yet Ravengaze continued to trust him. He's better than anyone else here, he thought to himself.
Sitting in front of the warriors' den, a sparrow sitting at his paws, Ravengaze curiously watched the tom, noting his every move. His paws kneading the ground in annoyance. Coldpelt seemed to be making plenty of excuses or arguments for some random reason. Birchberry twitched her whiskers in worry and rested her tail reassuringly on her shoulder, whispering things that were far too quiet for him to hear.
Leaning down to take a bite of his sparrow, a pain raced through his head, sharp and strong. Shaking his head and flicking his ears just made it worse than it already was, and nobody seemed to care that he was having a complete seizure in front of them. Visions of cats started flooding his brain, cats that he didn't recognize or know. They weren't normal cats, though. They had starry-like pelts that shone, and they seemed free. They were racing joyously around a meadow, one that definitely wasn't part of FogClan or CloudClan territory. Such pieces of land were immediately forgotten and left behind. Smiles were plastered on the cats' faces like they were actually happy, and they didn't fall at all. Their paws were moving faster than Ravengaze could keep track of, and for once, he was calm. The ringing in his head stopped, and all he heard was their sweet laughter and chatter. But out of all the cats, there was one that stood out to him.
A gray she-cat, similar to the tom in camp padded up to him. She smiled softly and looked him over with her blue-green gaze. Pale gray fur was like a cloud at the front of her chest, and she had a fluffy tail. Although her eyes seemed cold and harsh, she was just as soft as the other cats around her. The cats around the pair continued laughing and playing around, but it was a while before she decided to speak.
"So, welcome back Ravengaze. It's always a pleasure to see you. You seem to have come back with a different motive, though. And different...powers, perhaps?" The black-furred tom wanted to speak, but no matter how hard he tried, no matter how much he willed the words to come out of his mouth, they wouldn't come. He had never seen this cat before, let alone ever been here. Whatever this place was, he didn't like it. She knew too much about him already. And what did she mean by powers? There was one thing he was sure of: she was crazy.
"You do know that I can hear you, right? Your thoughts are out in the open for everyone to hear. It's kinda like speaking, so I would watch out for what you think." Well then, he could learn just about anything.
So, let's see, you can hear me right now? He thought as she nodded her head. Well then, tell me, who are you? How am I here? How do you know me? Where am I? What do you mean by powers? She responded with a smile and a sigh.
"Well then, looks like you have a lot to learn. And a lot to remember. For starters, my name is Dovewing."

Woah! Hey, Lovelies! Hope yall are doing gud, I'm just fine, burning up over here. Writing is still a big part of me, don't worry, but I have a lot of homework to do, and I'm constantly out of the house sightseeing or something. Anyways, what do you think of the newest additions? Are they good? Why do you think Dovewing is here? What does she mean by powers? I'd love to hear what you guys think! I think I've started to improve on my writing, cuz things seem to be getting better. So, on the fifteenth of December, 2k18, my amazing idol, Grant Gustin got married. While I'm happy for him and all, cuz he and his wife are a huge ship, it makes me sad to know that he is no longer single. I mean, it's all for laughs, don't worry, but I still love him like I love Dylan Kingwell. He was an amazing actor in Glee (love that show) and an amazing character and actor in the Flash. I mean, WHO CAN'T LOVE HIM?! Anyways, I've been working for about three days on this chapter, trying to get things to be just right, so make sure to hit that star to vote on it! As always, thank you for reading, voting, commenting, and sharing, and I hope to see you soon!

Briar
