Lillypaw||
Muffled shouts of terror haunted the she-cat's dreams. Screams of pleading, of hurt. Lillypaw had been having the dreams every night. Except...the dreams didn't feel like dreams. They felt real. Squishy mud folded over the tortoiseshell's cream and blue paws, creating a hard shell over what was once fur. The grass surrounding her was all dry and dead, seeming as if StarClan had never decided to give this place one drop of rain. The trees created a dead, droopy barrier to keep the cats from leaving, and the only noises to be heard were the echos of shrieks of pain. It seemed as if she had stopped having these breath-shaking dreams, but she was wrong.
Once again, Lillypaw opened her eyes to the sight of the dead, gross land. Decaying mice were left scattered in the grasses as if they were playing hide-and-go scent.Typically, Lillypaw wouldn't have dared to walk in the direction of the cries, but it was silent, and her curiousity got the best of her. As she walked, the tortoiseshell's once white underbelly quickly turned to a puke-like brown. The mud had started to stain her fur, and she looked back to see how far she'd walked. It seemed as if she wasn't moving whatsoever, but Lillypaw knew that she would arrive at her destination soon enough. The farther it seemed she walked, the closer she got to where she started. At one point she started running, but there was no use when her paws started to ache and she hadn't moved one bit. Heaving a sigh, Lillypaw slumped to the ground and tried to catch her breath.
"You have to want it." Lillypaw weakly turned her head to see who was speaking. "The name's Olivewish. Need help?" The emotionless green eyes of the black and white she-cat that towered before her locked with Lillypaw's plain brown eyes. There was something familier about the cat. Olivewish. The name didn't ring any bells, but her appearance was reminding her of someone that she had seen. Her somewhat deep tone, the sharp, directed green gaze. What was it?
As Olivewish helped the tortoiseshell to her paws, Lillypaw gathered enough courage to speak. "I've seen you before." Her voice cracked in nervousness, and she looked down at her paws in embarrassment. "You have?" Olivewish's tail flicked in amusement. Lillypaw nodded quickly. "Well, I don't think that's possible." Her eyes still held no emotion, but hidden somewhere in her gaze was the slightest flicker of joy. "H-how?" It seemed like an understandable question. How was she not able to have met her before? Lillypaw knew most of the cats in the area. "I'm technically not alive yet." The she-cat pricked her ears and stopped in her tracks. "Wait, what?" Olivewish flicked her tail in dismissal of the subject and continued walking. "Wait! What do you mean?" Lillypaw raced after the she-cat, her paws sliding in the mud and grass, spraying the remains of what her claws had torn up in the air.
Before she realized it, the tortoiseshell had ended up in the middle of a clearing, with cats that she recognized surrounding her. She ran up to the black and white figure of Olivewish. "Am I in StarClan? Wait...No I'm not. These cats are still alive. Except you..." She looked back up to meet to cold eyes of the she-cat. Her stare was enough, she understood what she was saying: Don't speak, young one. You have much to learn.
"Ah, I see you have finally decided to join us Lillypaw. How wonderful." A harsh tone came from the front of the crowd, more precisely, a gray tom in front of the crowd. His deep hazel eyes showed a lot more power than to be expected from such a lithe tom, but Lillypaw knew that there was no possible way that she could be surprised any more than she already was. Until The tom called out again. "Sealeap, come forward." Sealeap was here?! "You are worthy of earning a new name. You have beaten many cats who showed their weaknesses. You shall now be known as Bonekiller, for you have proven yourself worthy of your new name." Bonekiller? What kind of name was that? Where was she?
"Lillypaw, I just realized that I haven't fully introduced myself yet, have I?" The crowd of cats parted to reveal the small gray tom. "My name," He said, dipping his head as he spoke. "Is Jay. It's a pleasure to have you finally join us." Lillypaw trembled under Olivewish's emotionless stare. "Wh-where am I?" She finally asked. "You're in the Dark Forest, otherwise known as The Place Of No Stars." His voice was empty, as if there was nothing to fear, but there was definitely something odd about this place. "Your mentor will be Olivewish. She will teach you the most challenging battle techniques. You will be a pawerful warrior." Jay held his head high, and even the slightest glance from him ran a chill down the tortoiseshell's spine. "I don't want to train here. This place is evil." Jay smirked and let out a laugh. "I'm afraid that's not gonna happen. You will be a powerful warrior, and will be the most experienced cat in your Clan. Give it a chance. If you don't like it, thenm you'll still be confined here. So, train, or train?" He looked over at Bonekiller and another cat that Lillypaw knew to be Beetlefang, a Fighter from CloudClan. "Fine. I'll do it."
"Perfect! Olivewish, get started on your apprentice's training. I expect her to come back with plenty of battle scars." He dismissed the pair from his saight with a flick of his tail. Olivewish trotted to the edge of the moor, a place that wasn't as muddy, but still held plenty of bugs and crow-food. "So, where do we start?" Lillypaw found herself eager to learn new battle moves, but that was probably because she had been confined to the medicine den for the last moon. it would be great to finally train again. "I'm gonna attack you, and you have to fight back. But I'm gonna teach you a special move that I came up with." Lillypaw nodded. She was going to learn a move nobody else knew! "You need to watch for when your attacker is going to strike. Look for even the slightest twitch of their tail, or a flick of their ear. When they leap into the air, slide underneath them and drag your claws across their bellyfur, but not so close that you cut the skin. As you slide, kick up your back legs and hit them in the stomach so they fall forward. When they fall, leap onto their back and give them the killing bite. Works everytime. Not the killing part, because some cats are smarter than that, but the move works. Try it on me." When Olivewish saw how hesitant she was to hurt her, she glared at her and got into a pouncing position.
Lillypaw studied her a for signs that she would jump. Ear flick, tail twitch, nothing. Nose twitch maybe? Nah, Olivewish was smarter than that. What was she gonna do? Olivewish lept and landed next to her. "You're paying too much attention to what I'm gonna do. Keep an eye out for obvious signs. Try again. We're not stopping until you get this. Go run to the bush and back, then we'll try again." Lillypaw grumbled, but did as she was told. When she came back, the black and white cat was already in position. Ear flick, tail... She lept again and landed next to her. "Stop thinking about it! Again!" This was going to be a long night.

So, I came up with this brilliant idea, and I have so much of Lillypaw's world that I want to fit in! But, I also have this other idea for a book that I might start as a side project. ANYWAYS...This chapter was pretty long, but as statede, I'm trying to fit a lot of Lillypaw's world in the book. Did you guys like how I introduced Jay? It was hard...BUT I DID IT! I'm in the mood to write today, so cross your fingers for another chapter! Also, this isn't as important, but please don't be a ghost reader! When you vote for the books I write, it gives me more motivation to write! And when I write another chapter, then you guys have more book to read! Do you see the cause and effect? I'm not hating on you, and I'm completely fine with you being a ghost reader, but you guys are my motivation, so remember to vote!
