The inexplicable urge that crosses the sanest of minds to do something dangerous. Specifically refers to the urge to jump of a cliff.

L'appel du vide is my first attempt at writing a historical novel. It is set in one of the most stirring periods of human history-- The French Revolution. This is a first draft, completely unedited.
