Next Morning

I woke up when someone was shaking me. I blinked my eyes a few times to adjust to the light only to see a beauty waking me up. I just smiled still in a daze looking at the beauty.

"Wake the fuck up" She shouted and I came out of my dreamland and looked at Drishti's angry face. 

"What happened? Why are you angry?" I said still not understanding y she is angry.

"I am here tryin' to wake you up since last half an hour and you dare ask me why the fuck am I angry?" She blasted off like a volcano

"Umm sorry?" I hit myself on the head in mind for making it sound like a question

"Do hell with your sorry and move your ass in the bathroom. I am making breakfast." She spoke and left the room for the kitchen.

I didn't think her to be the one to curse. But common man If I can so can She.

I left for freshening up not waking to listen to anymore cursing but she looked a hell of sexy while cursing. Don't you agree readers? I got freshened up in 15 min. I always have some extra pair of clothes here. I didn't know what Drishti had worn since I forgot to tell her to bring another pair.

She had worn a pair of my shirt and pant making it look her own. She was flipping pancakes when I reached and sat down. 

"Good morning koala bear," She said and put the pancakes on the plates and filled the glass with fresh fruit juice. Set took her and I took mine.

"I slept late last night. No need to call me a Koala" Thinking of last night everything came back. I was silent through the rest of the breakfast. I guess Drishti also sensed my mood. She was trying to cheer me up by trying everything. I smiled too, ofc a fake one but she knew that and didn't take it. She just told me to talk to my mother and make everything clear.

We reached the castle in 15 mins as it was morning no traffic and fav time of the day for me. 

"We have reached," I said and got down and Drishti too. 

"Talk to maman O.K.? Don't stress over it," Drishti said and rubbed her hand over my bicep and went in.  She directly to her room. I went over to my mother's room only to find she is busy with Christmas eve ball preparations which were 2 days away. I went to my room to get ready. Today I had to pick my suit and guest list for my coronation and invite them over. To say I have 1 hell of a hectic day. And I also need to find the arrangement and my certificate of adoption and keep them somewhere safe. 

Drishti

 As Ava had some friends and she was having them over here she was busy with them and later she was having her princess etiquette classes. So she was busy and from the staff, I got to know maman was out and would come in the evening. I went to find Rakshit knowing he was in the study and also there was a library in the study. With books, it was a perfect way to spend my day. I knocked on the door. It is considered rude to just barge in when someone is inside. A small come in was heard.

"Hey, what happened?" He immediately had his full attention on me. I felt a bit guilty for distracting him from his work.

"I was bored so came here to the library. I hope you don't mind?" I asked slowly

"Ofc. I don't mind, princess. Have a seat. Pick one. I have read all of them " He said proudly

"You know, I can also help you if you need something. I  can't read books all day now, can I?" I mean I can  But who read books all day I'll be bored

"Ohh no-no. I will do it by myself" He said and started working. I just said ok because I know there is no point in arguing with him. So I picked a random book, but it was a boring book for me.
Rakshit had a to-do list on his right. I just went there and picked it up before he could realise what I was doing. I gasped at the number of things on it. He had not even completed one. 

"You have not even completed one thing on the list form morning and you dare to refuse my help" I scolded him like he was some 5 yr old

"Ok, fine, I get your point. That you want to help me" He said and asked me to write a common message to all his guests so emailing will be easy. I, being an idiot wrote a nice formal message in french.

"Umm, thanks, can you please pass me my phone" I passed it to him. He clicked on the message as if taking a picture. 

"It's a perfect balance of formal with informal but sorry to disappoint you I just need a formal one." He said and I looking at him confused and then looked at the paper and realised that it was written in french

"Actually, it is formal but in french. Google translate is not always correct, prince." I said again writing but this time in English. And he approved and gave me the emails of some that he remembered. 

4  & 1/2 hours later we had completed all the work together. It was fun working with him.

In between, I made coffee for us and read some books and then again helped him.

It was then Ava came into the room

"Hey, Big bro," She said and sat down on the couch beside me as I was sprawled on the god damn so comfy couch.

"Why are you sprawled on the couch, princess?" She asked me

"My back hurts sometimes sitting for long hours and also the couch is so soft," I said sheepishly and sat right up and fixed my dress

"Is your work done, bro and princess?" She asked both of us

"Yes, mine is done," I said and both of us looked over him  waiting for his answer

"Mine is also done," He said and got up

"Yay, Let's play something or let's find the perfect Christmas tree. What do you think?" She asked excitedly

"I'm up for it. What about you?" I asked him 

"Yeah me too. So, let's go change" He said and I took off with Ava.

"We are going to twin today princess," I said and she just chuckled 

"Why are you so good to me and not sticking to Bro like his so-called girlfriends?" she asked

"Because I always wanted a sister and you are so sweet to be ignored princess," I said and kissed her cheek. I was thinking about last night. 

Will they all trust me to keep their secrets? I'm having some feelings for Rakshit but Idk how to share this with anyone? He has told me in fact requested me. It's the least I can do for him, Maman and Ava.

"Can't you hear me?" Ava said

"Sorry baby I was thinking something. I hope you are not angry" I said with cute puppy eyes. 

"Not I'm not just asking if I was looking good in this" Ava said unsure about the dress.

"Ohh ... My... Gosh, You look fabulous, princess" I said "Every girl would be jealous today." ANd she giggled beautifully "Let me go change, Don't let your bro inn, O.K.?"

"Deal" she giggled. In 15 mins I was ready to go wearing a pretty white sweater with floral designs on it and black denim pants. I had a light blue beanie on my head and I had my hair open.

Ava was wearing a white sweater with a colourful butterfly on it a black thick pants matching it. She was wearing a hat and had let her hair free. 

When we came down Rakshit had his eyebrows furrowed together. I expected it to be about last night but what he told next shocked me

"You didn't tell me both of you were wearing white and casuals. I also would have been matching to you both" He spoke and pouted like a little kid whose mother is playing with someone else's kid and not him.

"You look so cute" I cooed him and pinched him on one of his cheeks

"Guys are Hot, sexy, handsome etc but not at all cute" He swatted my hand away "Let's go" He grumbled and rambled profantasies at us while going and I and Ava were giggling our way out. 

We spent the rest of the day choosing the correct tree according to Ava and Rakshit. For me, all were the same so I was bored and started a snowball fight and won. But Rakshit and Ava put 2 handfuls of snow inside my sweater and were laughing see me wiggle all around the way to get the ice out. To say the least, it was a fun day.

I was already in my PJs when someone knocked on my door. If my face was compared with the whitest thing on earth I would have won. I slowly calmed down and wore yoga pants and a sweatshirt over the PJs and let my hair down.

I went to open the door to find a staff member of the castle saying I have been called my Maman in the study immediately.

I knocked on the door before coming in. Rakshit was on the single couch and Maman was on the double seater. Maman patted the seat near her and I went to sit beside her.

"Drishti dear, You have read that letter and according to the rule I should keep you here with me to reduce the risk of the news leaking," She said and I was shocked to the core. So many What ifs? started running through my mind. What if they don't allow me to continue my work? What about my life in France? What if... My thoughts were interrupted by  Maman. "Put your thoughts to a break, Dear. I trust you to keep this information with you until the coronation and later too. please. We will owe you one" She said and joined her hands begging me

"You don't have to request me Maman. My mother has asked something of me. I shall follow it without any hesitation. Even if you didn't ask I wasn't going to tell anyone" I said holding her hands nodding no. "He is my friend, not because he is the prince or to be King of somewhere. It's because he is so down to earth, humble and kind. It's all the qualities of a King that the subject seeks. I wouldn't do this to him. He has earned this place and position" I looked at him with eyes full of admiration. He had some kind of intensity in his eyes which I couldn't decipher. 

"Don't worry, I won't tell anyone. I swear on my career for it. I promise you." I looked at her with soft eyes to make her believe that I won't tell anyone.

"I trust you, child. You became a part of our small family in just 3-4 days. I hope you find all the happiness in the world" She said and blessed me. For a second, I felt the warmth I used to feel around her. It was true indeed she was watching me from the above. I just smiled softly thinking that. Thinking about it I still had 3 days left and upon that, I also had to stay till Rakshit's coronation. That means almost 1 week more of royal life.

"Go take rest, dear, it was indeed a long day," She said and left me and Rakshit alone in the study.

"Do you trust me?" I asked him getting up looking at him for an answer

"I do, She just wanted to hear the words from you for assurance, Sorry for disturbing you late at night," He said getting up

"I had just changed into PJs so no worries, in fact, I was thinking about this only," I said moving out

"Will you be my date for the Christmas ball?" He asked suddenly out of the blue. I was dumbfounded, to say the least. 

"Yes" My knight

"Great. This time you'll have to pick. Tomorrow 10 am sharp." He getting out of the room

"Ok, I'll wear something according. You, match your tie according to my dress" I said in my no-argument tone

"Done, princess. See you tomorrow at breakfast" He said. I don't know why him calling me princess just did something and my whole face was red and my cheeks had a tint of pink on them.
