Visitation [D.B.W. Story]
I sat on my bed, legs swinging idly below me. I was waiting for someone, expecting the person I care about most to come bursting into my little white room with arms outstretched, ready to wrap me into a warm, comforting hug. But that's silly. I'd have to make her do that if I wanted it to happen.
Flopping back onto my metal bed, I sighed out. It'd been a while since I'd hung out with her, and whenever I did see her it was just in long, saddened glances across the hall or the occasional "hello" and quick squeeze. It'd been tugging at My heart, the bottom of my stomach queasy every time it came to mind. Did she hate me? Did she dislike being around me? She was my only friend and still is. The only person I have, the only person I care about. I hate being left alone with My thoughts.
Minutes passed, and finally there was a loud knock at my door. I glanced up, tail instantly beginning to wag back and forth wildly. I opened the door and instead found Kauffman, the man that looked over me. He was frowning, an apologetic look plastered on his face. His eyebrows pressed together and forming lines on his forehead.
"Hey Bee... I'm afraid A- erm Aimes is unable to visit you."
