Confusion [D.B.W. Story]
If I can remember, I woke up in a daze. My head spun rapidly as i blinked back hot tears and the bright white lights that flew by in front of me. Everything felt fuzzy, as if I was stuck in a dream. What had happened? I tried to recollect my thoughts but none came, my mind was empty. Surely there was something i was forgetting. Taking my mind off of my obscured thoughts i squeezed my eyes shut, attempting to get them to work. Work. Work. Work.
Much to my surprise, my eyes did as told, and once I opened my eyes back I spotted the lights above. Was I moving? Everything seemed to be so confusing. Where was I? Where was Aimes? Wait.. Who is Aimes again? This loss of memory disturbed me, and I quickly used all of my energy to force myself up into an awkward sitting position. I was moving, the smudged walls passed by as I frantically glanced around me. The strange figure to the left of me must have noticed my panic, because they slowed the object I sat on to a stop and walked around to lean down infront of me. Her eyes were a cold, blueish-gray, and as i studied them something seemed to spark in the back of my mind. Like.. I knew her from somewhere.
"Do i..." I paused, shocked at my shaky, croaky voice. It sounded as if I hadn't talked in years. Odd. "...I know.. you?" The question came out slurred and I was quite taken aback. What had happened to me? Surely I hadnt always been like this. I slipped back into my confusing thoughts, anything outside of my mind mush as I spaced out staring at the nice white wall.
"Yes, I'm glad to see you're up. How are we doing today?"
She must've taken my silence for something rude, but politely cupped her hands around mine, staring into my eyes as I snapped back into reality. "Huh?" I mumbled, beginning to loose myself again as I studied the wrinkles on her face. "I said, How are we doing today? Are you feeling better?"
"Better.." I repeated in a hushed tone, and I believe the lady gave up. She gave my arm a small squeeze and walked around to the side of me. I felt my shoulders relax into her cold hands as she pulled me back into a laying position. What was wrong with me? I began feeling light headed as my wrists were wrapped with something cold, what was that?
The rest was a blur for me. My arms instinctively pulled up against whatever was holding me down, and I screamed and cried for her. I couldnt move. I couldnt move. Someone had to help me. The lady did something to my arms, I couldnt pull them up.
I kicked, Fighting back at what horrible thing was holding me down, and I could see the horrified expression on that disgusting woman's face. My anger directed towards that awful lady, and after what seemed like hours of fighting, everything went blank.
