A lone tear escaped his eyes as he remembered those beautiful moments with her.

"I love Nandini.."

He closed his eyes as he remembered Dhruv's confession.

"Manik...if this is one of your stupid pranks..please stop it na..please don't say all this.."

"Tumne isiliye mujhse pucha..how am I feeling.."

His eyes snapped open as he remembered her pleading to stop when he was breaking her heart brutally.

A pain course through him as he remembered her tear strained face when she stood on the stage. His act broke her so badly that it took a toll on her performance too. She was so broken from inside that she couldn't sing a single line because of which NH3 lost Musicana.Though it was never his intention but somehow he became the reason of her loss.

Of course Harshad showed his true colour and accused Nandini for their loss. Nandini being the sensitive person that she was broke down completely.

How can he forget when she dashed into him while coming out of NH3's green room. He can never forget the look on her face. The way she stared at him made it pretty clear that she not only hated him but she was badly hurt too.

He promised her once that he will never hurt her...but see the irony..he was the only one who actually ended up giving her pain.

At that point of time he thought that he was strong enough to live without her. He was so determined that he didn't paid any attention to the pain that was coursing through his heart when he decided to end things with her.

At that point of time he was more worried about Dhruv and Dhruv's feelings. Nothing else mattered to him.

Not even his own pain..

Not even Nandini's pain..

And how can he not think about Dhruv's happiness. Dhruv is not like...Dhruv is his brother. There wasn't any line that he wouldn't cross in order to make him smile and keep him happy. Whenever he did anything for Dhruv it only made him happy.

But...

..not anymore...

And that's what was confusing him. He should be happy. He should be excited. Once again he succeeded in doing what he thought was correct.

Then..Why....

Why was he not happy...

Why his heart wasn't at peace...

Why it bothered him so much whenever he saw Dhruv---his "buddy" with Nandini.

Why even the thought of both of them together makes him want to throw up..

Why their closeness affected him so much...

Why their bond troubled him so much...

Why their comradeship made him so uncomfortable...

And this feeling has pretty much always been there...right from the time Nandini walked into their lives.

From that moment itself Nandini and Dhruv had a connection...

...which really troubled and bothered him.

Earlier he used to think that Nandini was the intruder and she was taking Dhruv away from him.

But now...

..he can't even bear "anyone" getting close to Nandini..not even his "buddy".

Right from the moment he laid eyes on her he couldn't tolerate anyone else growing close to "her".

The reason why Dhruv and Nandini's bonding troubled him so much because "he" wanted "her"

That's why even after everything that happened at Musicana he couldn't bear the thought of Dhruv and Nandini getting closer because of which he ended up sending that guy to call Dhruv back for the performance so that Dhruv couldn't spent time with Nandini.

For the very similar reason he didn't let Dhruv drop Nandini home rather he insisted on sending her home in his car.

Because of this very same reason he didn't tell Dhruv anything more about fireflies because he wanted to be the one to know "her secret".

And the next day when he heard that Dhruv was going to propose Nandini..he felt as if someone has shove a hot burning dagger across his soul and had left him to die a miserable death after writhing in pain for ages.

Things couldn't get any worse than that...

That's what he thought...

...in real things got even way more worse than he can possibly imagine...as...

..Dhruv informed them all that Nandini left S.P.A.C.E...

...not only that she left Mumbai too...this time...

...forever...

She left her dream city...

She left her college..

She left her friends...

She left her family...

As if he needed more reason to hate himself.

Today he hated himself more than he hated Nyonika or Harshad.

He went to her house in a hope to find out where she went...but of course..all his efforts went in vain...as Chacha-Chachi denied him to tell anything about her.

Nandini knew he would come looking for her that's why she made her family promise that they won't tell anyone anything about her whereabouts.

Of course she knew him...

She knew him too well...

She knew him better than anyone...

Why she couldn't see through his pretence..

Why she didn't stop him...

She could have punched him once again...just like that time when he crossed all the limits of humanity by breaking her Appa ka pen..

This time he broke her "trust"..why didn't she punched him for saying all those nonsense things to "her"..

Why did she believed his lies so easily...

She always see through his pretence then why couldn't she see it this time..

If she would have looked a little more carefully...if she would have looked a little closer ...she would have seen how vulnerable he was behind his rough demeanour.

She could have punished him...

She could have made him suffer...

But why did she chose to leave instead...

...how can you leave like this..

"Manik..tum na inn stars ke chakkar me mat paro...tum na...hamesha..mere sath raho..hamesha..and I will shine for you..."

He slumped on the floor as his knees gave in.

"You promised to shine for me na Nandini..then why..did you leave your MONSTER all alone in the darkness..arey ladti mujhse...danti....marti mujhe...punish karti...I would have happily accepted your tortures Nandini.."
