A week later, Kylo has returned to the Exterminator but is seriously injured and Faith has no idea yet until Sophie comes into her room and says in a worried mood "Hey sis, there is something you need to know." So Faith says "What is it Sis?" Then Sophie says as she sighs a little "Kylo returned from battle about two hours ago but he was badly wounded, I fixed his wounds but it will be a while before he can come back to see you and for his sake I don't want you trying to call out to him because he is in no state to see you right now." She then answers "I understand Sis, the most important thing is for him to get better." While this is going on a secret spy contacts Poe and whispers "Poe, I have news, Ren is in the medical wing and in no state to protect Faith, she is vulnerable right now so maybe it's time to put your secret plan into action." Poe then answers "Good, I believe my precious creation is ready." Then they hang up and Poe who is currently at another Resistance Base, says to a monster-like creature, a dangerous mix between a Varactyl and a Vulptex (it's got the body and long claws of a Varactyl but the spines of a vulptex) that also happens to have a venomous bite that is specifically designed to kill a force sensitive in a matter of hours after being bitten and he says to it "My dear creation, your first task is at hand, you are to go to the First Order's new Dreadnought, the Exterminator, sneak on board and kill my half-sister Faith, do you think you can do that?" Which causes the monster to nod it's head a little as Poe holds out a cloth with a bit of Faith's blood on it as he says "That is the scent of the one you are after, kill her and I'll be very proud of you." Then the spy lands to pick the monster up and Poe says "I know you will not fail." That night, while everyone is pretty much asleep or starting to fall asleep, the secret Resistance spy lands and sneaks the monster out of the hanger and into the main hallways and says to it "Do as your master says and make the Resistance proud." Then the monster begins sniffing trying to pick up Faith's scent. Meanwhile, in her room, Faith has woken up since she has sensed some sort of danger and she checks the hallway surveillance and sees the monster sniffing around and getting closer and closer to her hallway and she says with horror to herself "Oh Force, that's the thing I've heard rumors about! There can be only one reason it is here and that is because Poe set it on me! Oh Force out of any possible time, why now?" Meanwhile, in the medical wing, Kylo has sensed that something is really making Faith scared and nervous. The only problem is that he can't do anything to help her in his current state. Not only that but he, like Faith has sensed that whatever is making her scared and nervous like this is also a threat to her which immediately makes him want nothing more then to save her from whatever it is even though he knows he is in no condition to do so. Back in Faith's and Kylo's room, Faith is laying on her bed since she knows she has no choice but to do so when she notices a shadow in the hallway of the monster that is after her and she says to herself "Oh force please don't let this thing kill me! Please!" Right as she thinks this, she hears claws tapping the floor which makes her shiver with fear and before long, the monster comes into her room, having followed her scent straight to her and now it is slowly creeping toward her and Faith is completely terrified as she sees it reach one of it's front legs towards her bed in a very creepy way. As this is going on Kylo can feel Faith getting more and more scared by the minute having no idea what is transpiring in his and Faith's room. What he does know is he wants so desperately to run to her and rescue her from whatever it is. This is the first time a threat like this has happened where he is around and Faith still ends up being targeted and he is unable to do a thing about it, no matter how much he wants to. Back with Faith, she is really becoming uncomfortable with this thing only inches away from her when she suddenly gets and idea and says "Velvet!" "Kylan!" And seconds later, her two Varactyl siblings (who she has been training for the past few weeks when the First Order hasn't been in battles since they are now fully grown and could eventually be used for battle) come out from their hiding place and both make clearly angry noises to the hybrid monster before they jump and attack it, getting it away from Faith and this causes Rose, Kyle and Riaca (who were sleeping when the hybrid monster came in) to wake and the moment they see the monster that is actually after their mother, they all scream with fear before Faith rushes over to them and says in a low voice "Shh, it's okay, Velvet and Kylan are protecting us, I will call for more help too, just stay here." Then Faith pushes her comms button and calls the bridge and Hux picks up and once he does she says "Hux, I need you to send some squads of troopers to my room, preferably right now!" But Hux says having no idea what's going on says "What could you possibly need troopers for at this hour?" However, just as he says this, he looks at the surveillance system in Faith's hallway and sees Velvet and Kylan fighting the hybrid monster and he says "Holy shit! Was that thing sent to kill you?" And Faith answers "Yes, I believe my idiotic half-brother sent it after me, Hux if that thing ends up biting me the bite could kill me in a matter of hours, it has venom that is designed only for force sensitives and there is no way if it comes down to it that I will be able to fight this thing all alone." Hux then answers "Alright, I'll send Phasma to you and also some squads as you requested." Then she thanks him before she turns to see the hybrid lunging for her and before she can move, the hybrid manages to bite her on her arm (but only so much that it only gives her a small dose of venom, but still enough to kill her if not treated fast enough) and causes her to scream with pain before Velvet notices and growls before she jumps at the hybrid again, prying it off of her.
While all of this is going on, both Kylo and Sophie have felt Faith in severe pain (Sophie because she can always sense when someone is injured and Kylo because of his strong bond with her (Kylo also heard her scream of pain as well as felt it)) and Kylo says "I can't handle feeling her in pain like this and knowing I can't do a damn thing about it!" Sophie then says realizing that whoever seriously hurt Kylo only did it so that Poe could set the monster (Sophie is secretly watching footage from Faith's hallway and room as well and knows what is going on but will not tell Kylo in fear that he will try and go to Faith even though he is in absolutely no state to do it) on Faith while Kylo, even though he would be on the ship would be unable to get to her "Whatever is going on I have a feeling that someone told the Resistance that you are in no state to protect Faith and Poe decided he would take the opportunity to eliminate her while you were powerless to help her no matter how desperate you got Ren." Kylo though wanting desperately not to think such a thing says "No! Your wrong Sophie, no one could possibly do that!" And she answers "Ren think about it! Everyone in the Resistance knows how vulnerable she is without you! Yes you may be present on the ship but because of the fact you are injured like this it makes Faith an easy target! I wouldn't be surprised if they planned all this because they know you are in no condition to protect her now and because of that it leaves a perfect opportunity for the Resistance to somehow get to her and kill her!" Kylo then begins to grow really angry about this as he says "Then she needs my help!" As he attempts to get out of his medical bed but Sophie says "No Ren! You are in no condition to help her! If you want to help her the best thing for you to do right now is rest!" Kylo though protests since he is still quite angry "She needs me Sophie!" However, Sophie answers "Ren listen to me, what she needs is for you to regain your strength, I'm sure she has some sort of plan, there are many troopers on this ship who can help her if she needs it!"
Back with Faith, Phasma and some squads of troopers have arrived to help her and she begins to use the force to try and put the hybrid monster to sleep since the plan is to contain the monster so it can't harm Faith any further and eventually after Phasma and her troopers try and stun it quite a few times and Faith using the force they finally manage to put the hybrid monster to sleep and Faith says "Thanks guys, take it to the place on the ship that has cells for containing animals, we don't want this thing trying to get at me again." Then Phasma and her troopers nod but suddenly, Faith starts to feel some effects from the venom in her bite wound and she collapses which hasn't gone unnoticed because Phasma says while her troops continue to take the monster to containment "Faith!" Then she runs to Faith's side and says "What's wrong?" So Faith points to her wound and Phasma says knowing a bit more what the venom can do "Faith, you need Sophie to get here right now! The venom from that bite will weaken you but that's not all, it will cause you to hallucinate and eventually will go to your heart and stop it which will kill you! I'll call her and tell her what's going on." Then Faith nods and says after Phasma lays her back down in her's and Kylo's bed "Alright, hurry!" Moments later, Faith does indeed begin to hallucinate because even though he isn't really there with her at the moment, she sees Kylo sitting on the end of the bed and she says knowing that she's hallucinating him "Kylo Ky, why am I thinking about you when I know I shouldn't be?" And his hallucination answers her "Because your in a lot of pain right now Sweetheart and you wish I was there to make you feel better." Then she answers "I cannot deny that, I would do anything for your love and support right now." Then her hallucination ends and she finds Sophie in her room now and she says "Sis!" And Sophie answers "Phasma told me what happened, can I see your bite wound?" To which Faith nods then she shows Sophie her arm with the bite and Sophie says "Force! We need to fix this right now!" So Faith says curiously "How are we going to do that?" And Sophie explains "Well Faith, I have a special anecdote." As she pulls out a bottle of special liquid ointment "This ointment will cure you of the venom really quickly but it is going to sting quite a bit, after I use that and the venom is out of your system I will put a disinfectant on your wound and stitch it all up and then you should be good to go." Then as Sophie begins to put the special anecdote on Faith says through gritted teeth "Sis, why did this have to happen to me at a time like this?" So Sophie says knowing she is referring to the fact that Kylo couldn't protect her even if he wanted to (which he really started to wish he could) "I don't know Faith, something tells me there is a Resistance spy on the ship and that's why Poe set that horrible monster on you, I was watching the whole thing but I didn't dare tell Kylo what was actually going on, I knew he could sense your fear as that horrible thing crept up to you in bed and when you got bit we both felt it. I knew if I told him what was really going on that he would flip a gasket, he was already upset when I tried to deceive him by not directly telling him what was going on but also that it had something to do with someone finding out about his current condition and reporting it to the Resistance and I didn't want to stress him any further. You have absolutely no idea how hard it was for me to sneak here with this stuff without him noticing. When Phasma called he knew something was up and tried to ask me but I said trying to calm him down that you wanted me to do a little check up on your four unborn children which did sort of relax him, which I might do anyways after something like this so I did sort of tell him a little bit of the truth." Faith then says knowing Kylo will be furious when he sees her injury "He's still going to be pissed when he sees my injury since I am going to assume it will scar." And Sophie answers "Yes, it will scar but it will be a few weeks before Kylo can see you again so most of the wound should be healed by then and you will just be left with a bit of a scar." Which causes Faith to say "Which means I am going to have to go on some of his missions." Next, Sophie nods as she says "Yes but you also need to keep putting disinfectant on your wound until it heals as well." Faith then replies "I know."
A couple days later, Faith goes on one of Kylo's missions and is successful and is about to leave when she sees a man trying to train three Faithers and she is horrified by the way he is treating them especially since one of them is a baby and she runs over and yells "Hey!" But the trainer ignores her until she grabs his electrocrop and says "That isn't the way to treat those animals! Especially the little foal here!" Then she actually snaps the electrocrop before she feels the three Faithers all come up to her and shock the trainer since they have never done something like this before and she says to all three of them in a whisper "Do you three want to come home with me?" Then to her shock, all three nuzzle her, the stallion (I'm just using horse terms for the Faithers, don't ask) nuzzles her shoulder, the mare (the mother of the young foal) nuzzles the crock of her neck and the little foal nuzzles her side so Faith says "I would take that as a yes." Then she pulls out one of her lightsabers and kills the trainer (mostly so no other Faither's face the same cruelty as these three since even thought Faith is a First Order member, she also becomes very emotional when it comes to the rights of animals) before she gently puts halters on them (she is going to make new ones once she decides names for them) clips them to a couple lead ropes and leads them towards her shuttle and Phasma says "Faith what the hell? Kylo is going to kill you (joking) when he sees these." So she says "I know but I couldn't stand to watch them being treated that way. They deserve a better life and the way they acted after I defended them tells me they would love to be with someone who could give them some much needed TLC." A few minutes later, they return to the Exterminator and Faith leads her new pets to a really large room and says "Stay here for now, I'm going to do something really special for the three of you." She then makes stalls for them which are actually really nice and big enough for them to actually lay down to sleep if they wish (she makes three but for now will keep the foal with it's mother) and then she leads them to their stalls and says "Look, I made these for you, I think you will like them, they are nice and big for you. Now, I think it is time that I'd decide names for the three of you." After she leads the stallion in his stall and then the mare and foal, she says as they begin to eat some much needed hay (don't ask where she got it) "Hmm (she looks to the stallion first), I think I will call you Simba my boy." As she says this Simba looks up and gives her a look almost to say he agrees before she turns to the mare and says "I think that you should be called Angel." Then she looks at the foal (since she noticed that it should be at an age where she should be able to tell if it's a colt (male) or a filly (female)) and notices that it is a filly "And you little one I think will be called Jewel." And both Angel and Jewel look to her and also give her a look of agreement when Sophie comes in and says "Hey sis, Phasma told me about your new pets here."
  Then Faith says smiling "I rescued them from a very abusive looking life, it reminded me too much of how Poe treated me after mother died and I couldn't stand to see that so I rescued them." Sophie then says as Angel comes up and sniffs her a little bit "Kylo is so going to kill you, you know." Then Faith says giggling a little "Oh I know but this is my ship after all, he gave it to me and he wasn't at all specific about what I should do with spots that are empty like this, plus I'm off tomorrow so it will do good to work with them a bit and keep my mind off of him cause I'm trying to do as you asked me to." Sophie then replies "I know you are and I know it must be hard but so far you are doing a fantastic job, I also agree with you and think that these new friends of yours will be a perfect way to make you feel a bit better about that plus it will be fun to have these things around, although if you are planning to ride them, your going to need something for that." Then she pulls out a Faither saddle and says "Mother used to have this from when she used to have one, I have kept it for years. Although you are also going to need a riding ring (just as she says this she notices that Faith already has that set up (the room she is keeping her Faithers in is the perfect size to have everything she needs to train and ride them) and a pen to work with them in." But she also notices that Faith has this as well and she says "Already covered, the only thing they need are new halters and new lead ropes, preferably ones that are a bit more comfortable for them." Then Sophie says "I made some for you when I wasn't busy checking on your lover boy." Which makes Faith laugh again as she takes the new halters and hangs them on their doors before she and Sophie leave the room after shutting the door and turning the lights off so that the Faithers can get used to their new surroundings and as Faith and Sophie (Sophie is actually going to do a check up on Faith's and Kylo's unborn quadruplets and to check on Faith's wound) head to her room Faith says "I decided to call them Simba, Angel and Jewel." Then Sophie says giggling "Oh Faith, you always end up picking the best names, I like them a lot." After they return to Faith's and Kylo's room (Faith has finally given Rose, Kyle and Riaca their own room) Faith lays on her bed so Sophie can listen to her heartbeat as well as the four little heartbeats of her unborn kids and after she does this Sophie says "Hey sis, it seems as though your babies are all healthy, but would you like to see them? I brought an ultrasound with me." So she says "Hell yes!" Then Sophie replies "I figured." Then she puts gel on Faith's belly before she puts the ultrasound on so Faith can see and not long after, Faith and Sophie can both see the babies inside her and Sophie says "Look, there's your new babies sis!" And Faith begins to happy cry just a little and says "I'm telling you sis, when they are born, and they, Rose, Kyle and Riaca are grown up they will be a force (no pun intended) to be reckoned with." Just as she says this, Rose, Kyle and Riaca come in and say "Can we see?" So Faith says "Of course little ones, they are your little siblings after all." Then Rose, Kyle and Riaca come over and look at the screen and Rose says "I can't believe we will be big siblings to them soon mother." To which Faith replies "I know you can't Rose and I also know that the three of you will be great with them." After this Rose, Kyle and Riaca go to their room next door and Sophie says "Now, let's check out that bite wound." So Faith reveals the now healing wound and Sophie says "It's looking much better Sis, let me put some disinfectant on it and then I have to go and check on your boy toy again and make sure he's not causing any trouble." Faith then says as she laughs a little while Sophie puts disinfectant on the wound "Oh yes, I don't want him to worry that something is wrong with me." So Sophie answers "I agree, I don't think I want him to worry about you too much either even though if I have to be honest, he does worry about you anyway." Then Sophie leaves after they both say goodbye and not long after, Faith goes to sleep since she knows she will have a very busy day with her three new friends tomorrow.
