Third person P.O.V:
Yousaf got out of the car and walked over to his family as they stood outside the Nanda's front door. He reached forward and pressed the doorbell. As he let go of the button the sound of a soft chime began to echo throughout the Nanda residence, signifying the arrival of their much awaited guests. Yousaf smoothed the edges of his blazer as he took a step back and waited for the door to be opened.
Inside the Nanda's house, Gayatri looked at the clock, it was seven o'clock precisely. She bounced up from her seat and followed Ashok to receive their guests from the front door.
The door opened to reveal a family of four; a tall, hale and hearty man in his late forties. Standing beside the man was a beautiful woman, the lady of his life, his Mrs Khan.
Behind the old couple stood two teenagers, Ayesha and Hussain.
The parents exchanged greetings and hugged each other as if they were long lost friends, Hussain and Ayesha exchanged a knowing look as they watched their parents.
Mrs Nanda turned to Ayesha, "Namaste beta," (Hello child) she greeted Ayesha with folded hands.
Ayesha fumbled with her words as she figured out how to respond, she wanted to say 'assalamualaikum' but thought she should say 'namaste' in response to Mrs Nanda's greeting so she began folding her hands but it didn't seem to flow, this wasn't Ayesha. She quickly put her hands down and after much contemplation she settled for a simple "Hello Aunty."
Mrs Nanda smiled at her then lead them towards the living room.
Ayesha and Hussain joined Rohan, Abhi and Rohit in the living room while the elders sat in the front room and discussed the usual, politics.
Although Ayesha was a little shocked at first when she realised they were at Rohan's house, she greeted him with a smile when he looked at her.
Rohan froze as he saw the smile on Ayesha's lips reach her eyes. There was a twinkle in them which he hadn't seen before, he turned around to see if there was anyone standing behind him; there was no one there. He turned back to face Ayesha, she was rolling her eyes, he gave her an awkward smile.
Abhimanyu brushed past Rohan as he walked over to Ayesha. Rohan's eyebrows pulled down together, his eyelids raised in a stare as he watched Abhi's back.
"Hey," Ayesha greeted Abhi as they shook hands like strangers.
"Hey," he said softly as he continued shaking her hand.
Shaking hands felt odd to Abhi as he always hugged Ayesha when they met; Abhi tightened his grip on Ayesha's hand and pulled her into a bear hug which she happily accepted. She giggled as he tightened his arms around her, this felt better he thought.
Rohan watched impatiently, he thought, "Ab chhod bhi de Abhi." (At least leave her now Abhi.)
Before he knew it he was stepping towards them. He stood with his back towards Abhi and cleared his throat near Abhi's ear.
Abhi blocked out the sound and continued hugging Ayesha.
"Right, I've had enough," Rohan mumbled as he tapped Abhi's shoulder. Abhi jerked his hand off.
Rohan rubbed his chin and decided to tap Abhi's shoulder again, "Kya hua?" (What happened?) Abhi asked in an irritated tone as he let go of Ayesha and turned to face Rohan.
Rohan plastered a fake grin on his face, "Arrey yaar, kabhi mujhe bhi itne pyaar se gale laga na," (Oh buddy, why don't you hug me with love for once) he said through clenched teeth and engulfed Abhi into a bone crushing hug.
"Acha, ab chhod na. Itna pyaar meri sehath ki liya acha nahi hai," (Okay, now leave me. So much love is not good for my health) he said as he struggled to breath.
Rohan let go. Abhi stumbled back and dropped onto the sofa behind him with a loud thud, Ayesha rubbed his back as he took in large gulps of air.
"Are you ok?" She asked, concern in her eyes. Abhi gave her a small smile.
Meanwhile, Hussain and Rohit had hit it off, they were starting to bond really well. They high fived each other as they discovered they were both huge fans of Akshay Kumar.
They sat on the beanbags while Rohan took the single sofa beside Ayesha, he sighed as he looked around at everyone, he felt a bit lonely but tried to shrug it off.
They all made themselves comfortable and watched 'Fanaa,' the film was just starting.

Abhimanyu's P.O.V:
I stared ahead of me at nothing in particular, I had zoned out like every time, I don't know why I bother. A yawn escaped my mouth leaving my eyes a little moist. I rubbed my eyelids for a good thirty seconds then I straightened my arms.
As I stretched my arms I realised there was a much more entertaining film sitting beside me, Ayesha.
I put my elbow on the back of the sofa and rested my head on top of my palm. I watched her as she stared at the TV screen. Her lips parted as she let out an envious sigh, without taking her eyes off the screen she picked up the cushion beside her and hugged it against her chest.
I leaned in so I was near her ear. "Ayesha?" I cooed. She blinked a few times then she brought her fingers up and gently pulled the loose tendrils of hair behind her ear.
I blew softly so the loose strands fell back onto her face, she blew the hair away through pursed lips. I chuckled lightly as I moved back into my seat.

Third person P.O.V:
Ayesha had been so engrossed in the film, she hadn't realised Abhi had been staring at her for the past forty minutes.
While moving back in her seat she caught him staring at her from the corner of her eye, she turned her head towards Abhi who continued gazing at her.
She pointed at Abhi then her eyes and finally at the TV then she brought her finger back to her and shook it, indicating he should look at the TV screen rather than her.
Abhi was grinning from ear to ear, Ayesha watched him with raised eyebrows. Using his fingers he asked her to come closer, she moved in.
"Yeh lo, kush?" (Here, happy?) She asked him.
Abhi shook his head, "Mmhmm, aur paas." (Closer.)
"Abhi," She whined.
He remained adamant, "Aur paas." (Closer.)
(A/N: Can you guess which film this is inspired from?)
Ayesha huffed but moved in another centimetre. She brought her finger up and quickly pressed it against Abhi's lips before he could speak again, "Na tum Shah Rukh, na mein Madhuri aur nahi yeh kisi Yash Chopra ki film ka set. Jo bolna hai bolo, warna rehne do." (You're not Shah Rukh, I'm not Madhuri and neither is this a Yash Chopra's film set. Say what you have to or let it be.)
Abhi looked at her finger, she removed it immediately.
"Jab tum ho saamne toh kaun kambakht TV dekhega?" (When your here which idiot would want to watch TV?) Abhi playfully whispered into her ear, his cool breath tickling her.
Ayesha rolled her eyes but let out a little giggle.
"Besides, I'm not Salman's biggest fan," he added.
Ayesha narrowed her eyes.
"Stop talking," she said and held her hand up in between them.
"Oh, come on," Abhi protested.
Ayesha didn't move.
Abhi leaned in and kissed her palm, still she didn't react.
He locked his arms around her neck, Ayesha glared at him while he smirked back. "Wait a second," she said suddenly as realisation hit her. "Salman's not even in the film, it's Aamir!" She whispered loudly.
Abhi gave her a sheepish grin, "Same thing."
"You weren't even watching it, were you?" Abhi just shook his head.
They continued staring into each other's eyes, soon Abhi's smile reflected on Ayesha's lips, they both burst into fits of giggles.
Rohan watched as their foreheads closed in, his eyes widening, he swallowed as he jumped onto his feet. He went next to Abhi and Ayesha and slipped into the small space in between them on the sofa. Abhi glared at Rohan as his forehead hit against the side of Rohan's cheek.
"Rohan," Abhi paused as his lips set in a thin line, after a deep breath and half he spoke again, "Kya kar raha hai yaar?" (Dude, what are you doing?)
"Kya kar raha hoon?" (What am I doing?) Rohan asked as he rubbed his cheek.
"Yeh tu kahan ghus raha hai? Wahan bheth na, yahan jaga nahi hai." (Where are you sitting? Sit there, there's no space here.)
"Wahan se dekhne mein maza nahi aa raha tha," (There was no fun in watching from that angle) Rohan smirked while Ayesha scoffed.
"Right," she murmured.
Rohan ignored her little comment and continued, "Aur jahan tak baat rahi jaga ki, toh tu thoda udar ho ja," he turned to face Ayesha, "Aur aap thoda idhar ho jayen," his tone softened as he spoke to her.
Rohit and Hussain turned around to see what all the commotion was about, before anyone could react further Mrs Nanda came in.
"Bachon khana tayar hai, aa jao," (Come kids, the food is ready) she informed them.
They all got up and headed out of the room to wash their hands. Abhi and Ayesha lagged behind the others.
Abhi held Ayesha's wrist, she stopped walking and faced him, "What?" She asked with a blank expression.
"You're not actually mad at me, are you?" He asked still unsure.
"About what?" She asked confused, her eyebrows began to knit together.
"Oh, because you like Salman and I don't," he explained.
"No!" She exclaimed. "Just because I like him doesn't mean you have to," she smiled at him then her linked arm with his and dragged him with her behind the others.
***
After dinner they all came back into the living room; Rohan ran back to the sofa where Abhi and Ayesha were sitting, he sat in the middle so they couldn't sit together.
Hussain flopped into the beanbag as Rohit stood beside him.
"What do you all want for dessert?" He asked as Abhi and Ayesha walked in; they were in their own little bubble, laughing and goofing around.
"Dessert?" Rohit asked them.
Abhi and Ayesha turned to each other, "You still up for that ice cream?" They shouted in sync and laughed.
"McDonalds it is then," Rohit concluded.
Ayesha left the guys as they got their jackets and went to the front room. She peeped in through the open door, looking around for her mum, Fatima was sitting on the sofa opposite her.
Ayesha stood against the frame of the door and waved at Fatima, trying to get her attention. Yousaf saw this and gently nudged Fatima, he whispered into her ear, "Ayesha wants you," then looked towards the open door.
Fatima made an excuse and went to Ayesha, "Kya hua?" (What happened?) She asked in a soft whisper as she took Ayesha's hands in hers.
"They're all going out for ice cream, can I go with them?" She whispered hesitantly into Fatima's ear.
"Is Hussain going?"
Ayesha nodded.
Fatima smiled at her daughter, "Of course you can go, just be careful ok?"
Ayesha gave her a tight hug then kissed her cheek, "I love you!" She beamed from ear to ear.
***
As they walked outside, Abhi looked for Ayesha, he couldn't see her anywhere. All of a sudden he felt a pull on his arm, he looked back to find it was Rohit.
"Hey, have you seen Ayesha?" He asked him.
Rohit ignored his question and asked one of his, "Kya scene hai?" (What's going on?)
"Hum bahar ja rahe hain aur Ayesha gayab hai," (We're going out and Ayesha's gone missing) he said simply.
Rohit made a 'tsk' sound in annoyance. "Yeh nahi, tumhare aur Ayesh-" (Not this, between you and Ayesh-) he stopped speaking as he saw Ayesha approaching them, "Lo, Ayesha bhi aa gaya." (There, Ayesha's also come.) He said in an attempt to change the topic and left.
Ayesha looked at Rohit with a confused smile then she turned to Abhi who just smiled at her.
The five of them began piling into Rohit's car. Rohan, Abhi and Ayesha sat in the back, Ayesha sat in between the two boys while Hussain sat in the front with Rohit.
Rohit turned the radio on and 'Bheege hont tere' started playing.
Rohan shot Ayesha a quick glance, he wanted to know if she was thinking what he was thinking but he couldn't see her expression in the dark.
Sensing the awkward vibes around him Rohit pretended to fiddle with the radio station, Ayesha tutted, "Laga rehne dete. Yeh Rohan ka favourite gaana hai, kyun Rohan?" (You should have left it on. This is Rohan's favourite song, right Rohan?) She teased him.
Rohit and Hussain exchanged confused looks, Abhi knew Rohan hadn't told him everything that had happened in the lift, maybe this is something to do with that he wondered.
Rohan's cheeks reddened in embarrassment. "N-no," he stuttered.
***
Rohit parked in the McDonald's car park and they all went inside. They stood in the queue as Rohit asked Rohan, "Do you want your usual?" Rohan gave him a quick nod and stepped aside.
Then he asked Abhimanyu, "Abhi, what do you want?"
"I'll have a hot chocolate," Abhi smiled.
"What about you guys?" Rohit turned to Hussain and Ayesha.
Ayesha looked at Hussain, "It's ok, Hussain will pay for me."
"It's fine, consider this my treat," he insisted.
"No, really, it's ok," she argued back.
"Kyun? Main bhi toh tumhare bhai hoon na?" (Why? I'm like your brother aren't I?) Rohit asked.
Ayesha gave in, "Can I have a McFlurry Malteser please?" She asked politely, Rohit smiled at her and looked towards Hussain.
"I'll have a hot chocolate."
By the time everyone decided what they wanted it was their turn to order.
Rohan's green tea and Ayesha's ice cream were ready first so they took their food and went to find a table.
"Do you want to sit outside?" Rohan asked Ayesha.
Seeing how crowded the place was Ayesha agreed, "Sure," she smiled.
They went outside, Rohan pulled out a chair for Ayesha and stepped away but she went and sat on the other side. Rohan stood there for a few minutes until Ayesha looked up and noticed he was still standing, "Tum baith sakte ho, meri ijazat ki zaroorat nahi hai." (You can sit, you don't need my permission.) She smirked at him.
"Maine tumhare liye kurasee nikali thi," (I pulled out a chair for you) he told her.
Ayesha stood up and placed her palm on Rohan's forehead then she turned her hand around so the back was against his forehead, "Tumhe kahin bukhaar toh nahi hai?" (You don't have a fever, do you?) She fake gasped as she sat down again.
Rohan rolled his eyes and sat down onto the chair he had pulled out for Ayesha.
They sat in silence as Rohan fiddled with the flap on the side of his cup. He looked up for a split second at first, then he looked again, Ayesha was eating her ice cream. He brought his hands up and rested his chin on them as he stared dreamily at her. The longer he stared the more obvious it became there was a round dot of ice cream on Ayesha's nose.
Ayesha caught Rohan staring at her, she looked up and as if on cue her eyebrows raised. Rohan pointed to the ice cream then her nose, Ayesha's forehead creased. Rohan shook his head with a smirk. He leaned over the table and wiped the ice cream away.
A slight blush crept onto Ayesha's cheeks, she touched her nose then looked up at Rohan who was grinning like crazy.
All of a sudden Rohan felt a warm liquid spill onto his hands. He looked down, he had titled his green tea onto his hands; he looked around re familiarising himself with the environment around him. The others had joined them now; Abhi was sitting beside Ayesha whilst Rohit and Hussain sat on each side of Rohan.
In the distant there was a couple who were eating less and flicking more ice cream onto each other's face. Rohan face palmed himself as he realised he was daydreaming yet again.
He quickly moved his hand away as he came into contact with the wet substance on his fingers. He got up and went inside to wash his hands under cold water.
Meanwhile, the sky started sprinkling water, Ayesha jumped up from her seat and ran over to the glass shelter. Abhi chuckled as he watched her, he waved his hand at her to come over but she shook her head and insisted he should come under the shelter with her.
After a few more sips Abhi decided to join Ayesha, they watched as the rain thickened; there was a couple dancing in the distance, it was the same couple who were eating ice cream just minutes ago.
"How romantic," Rohan spoke in Ayesha's ear as he observed the couple.
Ayesha jumped back as she heard Rohan's sudden voice; she looked at him and rolled her eyes, "What's so romantic about a few drops of water?" She argued.
"Well, there's nothing harmful either so why are you hiding?" Rohan asked in return.
Ayesha gasped, "Ok. Firstly, it ruins my hair and unlike yours mine takes effort to do. Secondly, you end up with a cold and I'm quite sure there's nothing romantic about a snotty nose."
As Ayesha finished speaking Abhi tapped her on the shoulder, "Wait, so who was squealing when the hero and heroine were dancing in the rain?"
Ayesha put a finger on her lips, "Shhush!"
"Says the girl who's eating ice cream," Rohan pointed out as he interrupted their conversation.
Ayesha rolled her eyes as he continued to ramble on, "But seriously, have you never snuggled up with a hot chocolate in hand and a blanket around you in front of a fireplace? You should try it sometime," Rohan suggested.
Ayesha looked at him for a second then gave a nonchalant shrug and went back to eating her ice cream, "We don't have a fireplace."
"Oh," was all Rohan said.
They were there for sometime until Rohan thought, "Ok, that's enough now." He took hold of Ayesha's wrist and pulled her into rain, "For a second forget about your hair and just enjoy the raindrops, ok?" He asked and she nodded.
"Wow, quick, someone take a picture!" Ayesha squinted her eyes at Rohan. "This is the first time you've done something without arguing with me, what an achievement," he said sarcastically as he clapped his hands together.
Ayesha rolled her eyes and turned to go back to the shelter but Rohan held her wrist again, she glared at him.
"It's been a second," she said and he let go instantly, they went and stood under the shelter again.
"Ok, I'm sorry," Rohan said after a good two minute silence as he held his ears.
"Tumne kuch kaha kya? Thek se sunai nahin diya," (Did you say something? I couldn't hear you properly) she smirked at him.
"I'm sorry," he said as he stretched the syllables.
Ayesha didn't say anything this time, she left him standing under the shelter and went back to the car with the others.
Rohan ran a hand through his hair, "Wait, so is she still mad at me?" He wondered aloud, then followed them into the car.
***
Ayesha smiled as she finished drying her hair, she walked over to her door and placed the towel on the empty hook. She shook her head in an effort to stop smiling but thinking about Rohan unwillingly brought a smile on her lips.
She took out a bunch of folded up notes from her blazer. Hoping to find her timetable amongst the notes she opened them all, one by one, glancing at each one for less than a second before opening the next but this one caught her attention. She read it once, then twice but it just wasn't sinking in, she read over the same note until it went in.
She folded the piece of paper then put it back into her pocket. She found her timetable and put together her things for tomorrow before going to bed.

Author's note:
Hello everyone, it's been such a long time! I have lots to talk to you about, so without further delay let's get started.
O.M.G, so I saw the trailer for Bajirao Mastani and I'm quite impressed!
The dialogues left me with goosebumps and the chemistry between both DeepVeer and PC and Ranveer is stunning! What's more Ranveer, Deepika and Priyanka were the characters, they were Bajirao, Mastani and Kashibai! I could feel each and every emotion, this is what you call a masterpiece in my opinion. (For those of you who haven't seen the trailer it's in my media, go check it out!)
I cannot wait to see how this one turns out. *fingers crossed*
~ Now that the trailer for both Bajirao Mastani and Dilwale is out, putting aside your fandoms, which one do you think deserves to win at the box office?
Speaking of Dilwale, what do you guys think of their second song, 'Manma Emotion?'
~ I thought both Varun and Kriti are looking great, the dancing is good, visually the song is fantastic and the hook line of the song is very catchy too.
~ Overall, I think this is one of those songs you'll love initially but in a few months or so the hangover will be gone.
Just one day left until Tamasha releases! I'm so excited, who else is with me?
~ Speaking of which, have you seen the photo of Chota Tamasha in my media? Don't Ranbir and Deepika look adorable? ♡_♡
~ Also, did you see Deepika on Bigg Boss? She looked so pretty! I really want to see Salman and Deepika come together for a film, don't you?
Right, enough of my rambling, I'm going to stop now. Don't forget to share your views with me!
~ And last but not the least, I really hope you enjoyed the chapter, I had to rewrite it THREE times because it sucked! Which is also why I didn't update last weekend.
~ What do you think was in that note? Until next time, keep guessing.
~ Kirren☺
