Meeting Ashish Khanna, gave Avni a bunch of feelings. She was feeling, confused, lost, hurt but most importantly she felt anger. She felt anger when she saw the man in front of her. He had a look of arrogance on him. The same look that she vowed to remove.

Neil looked at Avni who just stood still there. He gestured her to go ahead while he introduced himself to Ashsish, shaking his hand.

Neil: My name is Jasmeet Khurana, and this is my friend and boss, Ananya Verma.

Avni went forward and shook hands with Ashish and when she did, she felt a current in her hand.

Avni shook his hand a little strongly: Hello Mr. Mehta

Ashish: That's a strong handshake you've got there.

Avni: Thanks, my mom says it's important to have a strong handshake, especially for those we consider important.

Ashish being a little bragful: Oh I never knew that I was important.

Avni: You are for this job.

DVM: Beta why don't you sit down, and have some chai.

Avneil sat down but for Avni this was torture. The longer, she sat the more tormented she felt. She felt a gush of feelings coming in her. Looking at him reminded her of all the bad memories she had. She then started asking DVM a few questions but as she asked, she started to feel faint and started to stop breathing

Avni: Nei..l..... I ......can't.....breathe..

Neil meanwhile looked shocked. He immediately took Avni in his arm and instructed her to breathe.

Neil: Ananya.... Breathe...Breathe......

DVM: I'll call the doctor.

Neil: I think it's better if I go to the hospital. This seems urgent

Ashish Mehta: There's no need for that. One visit from Doctor, will get her fine and she then continue the interview

DVM: That's right

Neil looked shocked at their behaviour. Here someone was on the verge of dying, and they just cared about the interview

Neil: I'm sorry Mrs. Mehta but I am taking my friend to the hospital and we will continue this tomorrow.

Neil then carried Avni in his arms and took her to the hospital.

At the hospital, Neil was walking nervously back and forth while waiting for doctor. Then finally the doctor came out.

Neil: Doctor! How is my friend? Is she ok?

Doctor: Neil, she had a panic attack which is why she couldn't breathe and she had fainted for a bit. You can take her home but just make sure she takes rest.

Neil nodded and took Avni home. When reaching home, Neela opened the door and saw Avni in Neil's arm who was asleep.

Neela:Bacha! Kya hua isko?

Neil: WOh, Aunty she had a panic attack today. Let me put her down and I will tell you what happened.

Neela nodded and let Neil inside. After putting Avni in the room, he joined Nanu, Nani and Neela in the living room where they had coffee and snacks.

Neela: Beta tell me now what happened to my daughter.

Neil: WOh, aunty we met Dayavanti son, Ashish Mehta and after that she started to faint.

Neela then dropped the cup in her hand on the floor.

Neil: Aunty! What happened?

Nanu: It's all because of that Ashish Mehta! He ruined my family and daughters Riya and Avni. My poor granddaughters faced so much because of that bastard.

Neil: Avni? Who is Avni?

Nanu: Woh she is...

Voice who was watching all this from behind shouted: NANU!

Meanwhile at the cafe, Riya called Ali over.

Ali: Congrats again Miss Makeup ki Dukaan
He leaned over and gave her a kiss on the head. Riya smiled at this love and held his hand over the table
Riya: Ali look, I know that you love me and I love you too, but you know mine and Avni's past.

Ali: Yeah so? You know your past won't change anything about my view towards you

Riya: I know... but I wanted to tell you about my past . I want to let it over with.
Ali nodded and gave her a hug.
Riya: I was the daughter of Hetal and Ketan Mehta. My mother married her sweetheart from college and they seemed happy. At least that's what I thought....
But it turns out it was all an lie. My father was just a bastard like his brother. All he did was listen to his mother so he can get money. My mother always tried to tell him no, but he never listened. Than one day, I saw him and mom have a fight. Then...
Ali: Then?

Flashback

Riya was just coming back from school and she saw her mother and father arguing.
Hetal: How dare you Ketan? How could you?
Ketan: Will you just shut up?! I'm tired of listening to your damn voice
Hetal: I won't shut up! Ok! First you started an affair and then you started the illegal drug business. Because of your illegal business, many people are being harmed. Innocent people are being drugged! And you only care about money!
Ketan: Yes, I only care about the money! Money is what going to make me powerful. Is what I will live on!! Is what will make me and Natasha happy!
Hetal: But what about our family? What about Riya
Ketan: Just go back to your maiden house. I don't care for you anymore
Hetal: Don't worry! I'll go there but not before exposing you!
Ketan: HETAL!
Ketan then got his gun and shot her in the chest.
Riya who was watching this ran to
Her mother
Riya: MAA!
Hetal: Riya.... Beta look I won't live for long! But just remember that always fight for right and everything happens for reason!!

With that Hetal died in Riya's arms.

Riya: Since then I suffered so much Ali! So much. You know you were my only support after Avni had gone... but even you didn't know what would happen to me

Ali: Tell me Riya tell me... I only know little.

Riya started crying and confessed

When Hetal died, Ketan noticed that Riya saw the murder, so he threatened her everyday to not tell the world. He would often keep her captivated In the house. And when he was busy, it was Diksha Bua who would abuse her. Bua was the one who always hit and one day when I tried to run away, She tied me up in the room. She locked me up.

Riya: If it wasn't for you, then I would never been saved

Ali: I remember it clearly

Ali was playing ball nearby when the ball came to the mansion. When he came to receive the ball, he noticed a girl tied up through window. As he went closer, he saw Riya.

Ali: Riya!

He climbed through the window and entered inside the room. He untied her and released her from the ropes

Riya: Ali!!!

Ali: Riya what happened?

Riya: I don't have time to explain! I need to get out of here and we need to save Aman. I can't let him stay in this hell hole.

Riya then got a backpack and packed a few stuff and a blanket.  That night only Diksha and Aman were home as the others went to a business trip.  Riya and Ali sneakily went out the window and located Aman's room from the outside

They then quickly climbed inside the window and buried a three month old Aman in the backpack. Diksha was about to check on Aman but then Ali distracted her ringing the bell. By the time, she got to the bell, the kids ran away.

Riya and Ali ran as fast they could, hiding Aman in their backpack.  However as they ran, Ali tripped and as Riya stopped, he told her to run. He gave her a shakti bracelet that always gave him luck and strength. It was then when they last saw each other. Ali got hit by Prakash who immediately took him to the hospital and took him in. Whereas Riya was found by Ragini.

Ragini: Beta why are you running away?

Riya: Woh aunty, I had to run away from home. It's not safe. I had to save myself and my brother

Ragini: Brother?

Riya nodded and opened her backpack to reveal Aman was covered completely by blankets.

Ragini: Beta what's your name?

Riya: Riya

Ragini: What a beautiful name! Do you have relatives?

Riya: Woh, my nana , Nani and Neela Aunty.

Ragini: Can I take you and your brother home? I'll let you rest for a while.

Riya and Aman then went home where Ragini called up Neela. Neela who was in London that time, had her  private jet to take Ragini, Vidyut, Riya and Aman to London. Ragini realized that Neela aunty was actually Neela Parikh one of her best friends from college.

Ali became shocked at her past. Though he knew parts of it, he didn't know all. He was proud of her for staying strong.

Ali: I'm so damn proud of you Riya and I promise you no matter what, I will always stand by you and love you.

While at the Parikh house,  Avni shouted at Nanu!

Avni: Nanu! How could you do this? How could you tell Neil?

Nanu: I didn't tell him anything

Neil: He is right, he didn't say anything.

Avni: You just shut up Neil! You always bring trouble here

Nanu: Avni! Don't talk to Neil like this! He brought you here and he took care of you by taking to the hospital

Avni sarcastically smiled. : Thank you Neil! I will never forget this favour.

She then left while Neil ran behind her. He told Neela and Nanu that he will bring her back.

Neil followed Avni around and saw her standing by a cliff.

Neil: Avni!

Avni: Will you for once stop following me!

Neil then became angry: No I won't stop following you! Now tell me what is wrong with you? Look Nanu didn't tell me anything. He's no wrong. All he said that your name was Avni.

Avni still stood there miffed.

Neil: Look it's late and you are not better! It's better you rest at home

Avni: You are not going to ask me about my identity?

Neil: I would but I don't want to force it out of you

Neil started leaving when she stopped him

Avni: Neil stop! I'm ready to tell you..
