She dialled Kumar's number and they stepped out from the bride room.

She hummed and declined the call.

Laxmi:Shiva..

Shivadith:Maa..

Laxmi: Ashwathy enga da?

Soon, Ashwathy, Kumar, Vetri and their family and friends got assembled in the hall.

Ashwathy looked at Shiva, who nodded and released his grip on her hand. She smiled walked towards Laxmi's father, and stood in front of him.

Laxmi's dad took her hand, made her wear the gold bracelet around her wrist, and clasped it.

She looked at him with a smile. He smiled and patted her cheek.

Laxmi's dad:Unakku dha thango.. azhagu irukku le?

He asked to his wife.

Laxmi's mom:Aamaanga.. Inga vaa da.. thirumbu..

Ashwathy turned while Laxmi's mom placed her long hair to the front on her shoulder and clasped the golden haaram around her neck.

Ashwathy looked down at her chest, touched the haaram, and turned around to look at Laxmi's mom.

Laxmi's mom:Azhaga irukku da chello..

Ashwathy: Paati, yedhukku paati idhellaa?

Laxmi's mom:Naanga dha da pannanu.. en pethi nee, unakku pannaama vera yaarukku panna poro.. mm?

She asked cupping her cheek.

Mani cleared her throat.

All turned towards her.

Ashwathy gulped lowering her head.

Shiva smiled, seeing her.

Laxmi's mom smiled and kissed Ashwathy's cheek.

She touched their feet and got their blessings.

She took her hand and placed a golden anklet on her palm.

She glared at her fakely. Ashwathy chuckled.

Laxmi smiled. Ashwathy smiled back and turned to go near her husband but stopped hearing,

She whined at him with a pout.

She moved towards him.

He took her hand and slid the silver ring into her pinkie finger.

They all laughed.

Shiva smiled at her who was smiling and talking with his father happily.

She called him, standing beside him.

She took his hand and clasped a golden bracelet around his wrist. Kumar clasped a golden chain around his neck and wore a golden ring with a letter S into his finger.

She stopped her words when Shiva hugged his in-laws together, who smiled and patted his back.

They patted his back.

He pulled back and stood beside Bhanu.

He stood silently beside Ashwathy and grabbed her palm inside his.

She gripped his palm and smiled talking with Mani and her friends.

They all left to have the lunch, prepared from the bride's side and served by them to all of the groom's relatives and friends.

He smiled sweetly at Sathya and escaped from there.

Yasmi nodded her head and opened her mouth as he fed her the meal.

Shiva and Guru laughed.

She pulled Shiva's face towards her, with her palm under his chin and opened her mouth. He smiled and fed her.

Guru, Shiva and Prakash raised their eyebrows at him.

Sathya sighed. Ashwathy frowned.

Rudy smiled sheepishly at his friends, now brothers.

He escaped from there again.

Shiva smiled and lifted his hand with a food morsel towards Ashwathy. She smiled back and ate it from his hand.

Yasmi:Mamaaaaa..

Shivadith:Seri seri.. indhaa..

He fed her.

Ashwathy chuckled.

And after having their lunch feast, 

Laxmi:Refresh aaganum naa aagikko da kanna.. namma kelambalaam..

Ashwathy forced her a smile and moved towards the bride's room. Shiva followed her behind, stopped her before she could close the door, and pecked her forehead, leaning down to her height. She closed her eyes, and a real, unforced smile crept over her lips.

Shivadith:Porumaiyaa vaa..

She hummed, nodding her head and closed the door gently.

After a few minutes, she came out and moved towards Shiva. She stood beside him while he caught her palm. She intertwined their fingers and smiled, looking at their family and friends.

Laxmi:Polaamaa da?

She just nodded her head.

On reaching near the entrance, the car which was decorated with the roses stopped before them.

Shivadith:Solleetu vaa da ma..

She looked at him with teary eyes.

Shivadith:Po..

She inhaled a deep breathe and he left her palm as she ran towards her father and hugged him tight.

Kumar hugged her back and both shedded tears.

Ashwathy:A..achaa..

Kumar:Onnum illa mole.. inga dhane ma.. mm?Acha uhm amma uhm unna vandhu paakuro seriyaa? Alugaadha da.. 

She sobbed in his chest and looked at her mother who was encircled by Sathya.

Ashwathy:Amme..

She moved towards her mother and hugged her tight and both cried.

Bhanu:Shari mole.. podhum.. inga paaru.. ammaye nokku.. nalla saapdanu.. enna naalu amma ku call seyyanum.. ammave marandhuraadha mole.. manasilayo?

Ashwathy pouted at her.

Ashwathy:Njaan enthinu ninne marakkanam? nee enna marandhuraadha po..

Bhanu chuckled and kissed her whole face and placed a strong kiss on her cheek.

Bhanu:Batharamaa iru mole.. nethu sonnadhu nyabagam irukku le? angayum ingayum odeetu irukka koodaadhu.. purunjadhaa?

Ashwathy:Shari ma.. ningalude food shariyaayi kazhikkuka.. mm? Acha ve paathukko ma..

Ashwathy chuckled, and Bhanu smiled, wiped her daughter's tears, and kissed her forehead once again.

Bhanu:Thangamayilu.. poitu vaa..

She hummed and kissed her cheeks and turned towards her father.

Ashwathy:Poitu varen achaa..

He hugged her sideways and kissed her top-head.

Kumar:Batharam mole.. aththa, mama soldradha kaettu nadandhukanum seriyaa?

Ashwathy:Mmm shari achaa.. poitu varen..

She kissed his cheek, he kissed her forehead.

After bidding bye to her closest relatives and getting the blessings from them, she talked with her chechi's gang who tried to cheer her up but she ended up sobbing silently.

Laxmi moved towards them and caressed her hair.

Laxmi:Enga da namma veetukku dhane vara.. naan paathukuren... amma maari dhane naanu unakku.. mm?

Ashwathy nodded her head with a smile.

Laxmi cupped her cheeks and wiped her tears with her saree pallu and grabbed her wrist.

Laxmi:Polaamaa?

Ashwathy:A..Aahn aththa..

Laxmi(smiles):Vaa..

She made her walk towards Shiva and left her palm.

Shiva wrapped his arm around her shoulder and looked at her with a smile.

She smiled back a little and they walked towards the car.

Bhanu and Kumar suppressed the emotions and waved her a bye when she turned to look at them.

Ashwathy too controlled herself and waved them back, nodding her head.

They nodded back with a smile.

Shivadith:Maa..

She turned and entered the car and seated on the back seat.

Shiva then entered and closed the door.

Ashwathy moved closer to him and looked at her parents via the window.

Ashwathy:Bye achaa.. bye amme.. odamba paathukonga.. byee..

Bhanu:Bye di thango..

Kumar just waved her bye as his throat got parched.

She cried all the way till her parents get disappeard from her sight, waving her hands.

She stumbled on Shiva's chest. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder and kissed her top-head, temple and knuckles with some comforting, sweet nothings.

Shivadith:En paapa le nee mm? Namma avangala vandhu paakalaam ma.. nalaike namma kerala kelamba poro.. apro enna.. en amour le nee? alugaadha da ma..

She gripped his collars and stared outside through the window, while her tears drenched his blue silk shirt.

Bhanu smiled at her and kissed her forehead.

Then, after bidding bye to everyone, the groom's family and friends left from there.

Guru:Amma naanga evening varom..

Bhanu:Seri pa..

Prakash:Bye ma bye pa..

Bhanu/Kumar:Seri da kanna.. poitu vaanga..

Guru and Prakash took Shiva's bike and rode off from there.

The few members of the bride's family then moved towards Ashwathy's house, and the other few left for their respective houses, bidding bye to Bhanu and Kumar.

Here in Shiva's house,

Ashwathy:Mmm..

They stood before the entrance with their fingers intertwined, while Mani and Sindhu took Aarthi for them.

Shiva gave his card to Mani before she could start and left inside, along with his wife placing their right's feet first inside the house.

They clapped their hands, welcoming them.

Ashwathy and Shiva smiled, looking at each other.

Laxmi:Vaa da velaketheeru apdiye..

Ashwathy nodded her head, and they stepped into the puja room. She lit the traditional five-sided oil lamp and all prayed for the newlywed couple's well-being.

Then, all got dispersed as separate gangs, after performing some more rituals like games between the couple.

Ashwathy sat on the dining table and smiled at his relative, who smiled back at her and went inside the kitchen. She sighed and tapped her feet on the ground.

Ashwathymv:Enga ponaaru.. shoo.. yaarta poi kekuradhu..

She moved towards Mani's room and peeked inside to see Hussain and his friends having fun between them.

She sighed and moved next towards Shiva's room to see him and his friends and colleagues laughing and teasing at Shiva, who smacked them with a blush.

She smiled and went to Laxmi and Vetri's room to see the elders. So, she gulped and took uturn to leave from there, but stopped with a jerk, seeing Mani before her with her brows raised.

Ashwathy:An..anni..

Mani:Enna anga inga nu kutty potta poona maadhiri sutheetu irukka?

Ashwathy:Adhu..

Mani:Ennaachu Ashwathy?Edhaadhu venumaa? pasikudhaa?

She caught her wrist and dragged her inside the Laxmi and Vetri's room.

One of the elders in the gang tried to get Ashwathy's hand to speak with her. But Mani pushed her hand down.

Mani:Paati iru.. edhaadhu solleetu irukkaadha.. nee poitu vaa da..

Ashwathy nodded her head and went inside the restroom.

Mani sat beside one of her grandmas and spoke with her, waiting for Ashwathy.

Laxmi:Maniiii..

She yelled from the kitchen.

Mani:Amma inga irukken..

Laxmi:Vaa di inga.. 

Mani:Yen ma ennaachu?

Laxmi:Un pulla koopudraa.. vaa inga..

Mani:Maa konja neram paathukko ma vandhuren.. 

Laxmi got silent, mumuring something to herself.

Ashwathy came out after few minutes and smiled at Mani.

Mani:Seri kelavi naanga veliya poro.. neengalaa pesunga.. vaa Ashwathy..

Ashwathy hummed while Mani dragged her out from there to the kitchen holding her wrist.

In the kitchen,

Ashwathy:Ohh..

Laxmi:Seri Mani nee Ashwathy eh kooptu un room ku poi thoonga vai.. paavam pulla kannellaa thookamaa irukku paaru.. 

Mani:Seri ma, vaa Ashwathy..

Ashwathy:Mm seri anni.. aththa dress maathikattumaa?

Laxmi:Aah maathikko da.. naraya peru irukkaanga le so nee avanga laa pora vara saree eh kattiko.. apro namma laa irukkumbodhu venaa chudidhar top, leggings, pants nu pottuko seriyaa?

She asked her with a smile.

Ashwathy:Seringa aththa..

Laxmi:Mm thoongu nalla.. po..

Ashwathy nodded her head and went with Mani.

Mani pushed her husband and his friends outside the room, helped Ashwathy remove her jewels, and left her alone.

Ashwathy locked the room, removed her wedding saree, and changed into the normal digitally printed cotton saree with a half-sleeve blouse.

She sat on the bed and called Sathya to know about her parents well-being. Then she laid down on the bed, closing her eyes.

After some twists and turns, carefully holding her tummy, she slept in tiredness.

In Shiva's room,

Shiva rolled his eyes at him and covered himself fully under the blanket to sleep. But they pulled it down in the next second. Shiva glared at them and smacked them. After some more minutes of teasing and laughing, they left him to sleep in the guestroom and went towards Shiva's room to decorate it for the couple's nuptial night.

And that evening, 

Mani:Ashwathy.. Ashwathy..

She jerked and opened her eyes.

Mani:Hey medhuvaa medhuvaa.. yen ipdi padhara?

Ashwathy:Anni, nalla thoongitten.. edhaavadhu sonnangalaa?

Mani:Yaaru unna enna solla poraa? Seri kelambu neram aachu velakk yetha amma kooptaanga..

Ashwathy:Mm seri anni..

She refreshed herself. Mani and Sindhu brought her out, towards the puja room.

Ashwathy smiled, looking at Shiva, who smiled back at her.

She stood beside him.

Shivadith:Nalla thoonguniyaa?

Ashwathy:Aahn thoongitten.. neenga?

He smiled and hummed.

Shivadith:Mmm..

Laxmi:Vaa Ashwathy..

Ashwathy nodded her head and stepped forward to lighten the lamp and all prayed.

Then, all moved towards the hall.

She looked around the living hall and guessed that many of their relatives had left already.

Laxmi:Ombodhu manikku dha di.. Ashwathy konjamaa saaptukko da..

Ashwathy:Seringa aththa..

Laxmi's mom:Modhala laa nalla dhane da pesuva?Yen inniku ivlo amaidhiyaa irukka?

Ashwathy:Apdilaa illa paati..

Vetri:Vidunga aththa.. adhellaa palagunaa seri aayirum.. namma pulla dhane?

Laxmi's mom hummed.

Shivadith:Ennaachu ma.. thattu le kolam pottutu irukka?

He asked leaning towards her.

Ashwathy:Saapda mudila pa..

She pouted at him. He smiled.

Shivadith:Saapdu Ashwathy.. kammiyaa laa saapda venaa.. nalla saaptukko.. puriyudhu le?

He asked, specifying about their symbol of love inside her tummy. She hummed, nodding her head understandingly.

After their dinner, girls dragged Ashwathy to Mani's room and adorned her for the nuptial night.

She nodded her head and stood up.

Mani and Sindhu accompanied her towards Shiva's room.

She gasped turning towards her.

Ashwathy:Aiyo anni... apdilaa illa..

She teased her.

She whined.
