(y/n) is a new student in Seirin High School. She just moved to Japan from America. They had to move, because her father got a job in Tokyo.

First day of school

I was wandering around the school's court, looking for a club to join. I was busy reading my timetable, so I accidentally bumped into somebody.
"Oh, sorry." I said, totally forgetting about, that I'm not in America anymore.
"Nothing." A huge boy answered back. In English. I looked up from my paper and saw a red head, muscular boy.
"Are you in first year too?" Asked the boy.
"Yes." I answered, as I was looking up to the red head.
'He looks like Kagami Taiga, from my old school. No, he can't be. I know he moved to Japan too, but I don't think he's Kagami.'
"Oi! Get out of daze, and answer my question!" The boy said in a pissed off voice.
"Sorry. What did you ask?"
"What club do you want to join?"
"Um, maybe the, umm, the women volleyball team. What 'bout you?"
"She can't be her. . ." The giant mumbled under his breath.
"Umm, did you say something?"
"Nope." He answered, scratching the back of his head.
"Sorry, for being rude, but I have to say, you're reminding me one of my former classmates."
"Really? I thought exactly the same 'bout you!" He said as he patted my head.
"Oh!" Something came to my mind. „You're Kagami, aren't you?"
"How did you know?" His jaw dropped.
"Umm, everything cleared when you patted my head. And you're still using the same fragrance."
"(y/n)-chan?" He blinked a few times.
"Yup."
"It was a long ago, wasn't it?"
"Yeah, it was. So, Kagami, are you gonna join the basketball club again?" I giggled.
"Oi! Why are you giggling?"
"Umm, nothing. I just remembered how terrible you were at first. But you're better now, I guess."
"How can be my name Kagami Taiga, if I haven't improved." He gave me a thumbs up.
I elbowed him in his tummy and said „Stop showing off, and move your fat ass to that boy."
"You're so cruel, (y/n)-chan."
"I know it" I smirked.
Kagami-kun tilted his head while smiling and headed to the guys.
And I went to the women's volleyball team's coach. She gave me a form, which I had to fill in until Friday. If I don't fill it in, I can forget the team. She looks so strict.

Later that day

I sat on a bench under a cherry blossom tree and watched as the leaves fell. I was in daze, so I didn't notice that Kagami sat next to me, holding a bottle of coke.
"Here." He handed me the bottle.
"Thanks." I said and opened the bottle. „I missed it."
"Hmpf, American." Said Kagami as he ruffled up my hair.
"Hey! Keep your hands away from my hair!" I whined.
"Sorry. By the way, why did you come to Japan?"
"My dad got a job here." I said and drank from my coke.
"I see. What do you think of it?" Asked Kagami and he slipped closer to me.
"Well, I haven't seen a lot yet, so I say its okay."
"You have to use Japanese all the time, so it'll be a bit difficult for you, but I remember, languages are a piece of cake for you." He smiled.
"Umm, you're right. And Kagami-kun, how's school? Are you a better student now?" I snickered.
"Oi! Don't remind me how bad I was. That was past, but now, we're in the present. Don't think so much of the past, 'cause you can easily stuck in it."
"Oh. I didn't know, you had a philosophical side."
He rolled his eyes. „You haven't changed at all."
"You're talking?!" I asked as I looked him in the eye.
"Yes. I grew. Both physically and mentally. But you're still a shortie-chan."
"You grew mentally? I hardly believe this." I laughed.
"Are you questioning me?" He started to get upset.
"Calm down, Taiga." I said to him, but I immediately corrected myself when I saw his eyes are widened. „I meant Kagami-kun."
He just smiled. „Don't blame yourself. Remember that time when we called each other by our surnames?" He asked and flushed a bit.
"OMG, you still remember?" My jaw dropped.
"Why wouldn't I remember?"
"We were so immature at that time." I sighed. „And we thought love is all about giving kisses on the cheek." At this time, I flushed.
"Um, yeah." He nodded and started eating his ice cream.
"Wait, where'd you bought 'em?" I pointed at the icy sweet.
"When I was coming to school, I stopped at a supermarket and bought one."
"Idiot! Why did you buy just one? I've always wanted to try it out!"
"Should I know what you want? Nope. So, shut up."
"You're so cruel." I pouted.
"You really thought I had bought jut one? Idiot. Think before you speak." He said and pulled out a pink ice cream and gave it to me. „Why would I be your best friend if I don't think of you, shortie-chan?" He smiled.
"Thank you so much, Kagami-kun!" I said and gave him a peck on the cheek.
"Your welcome." He gave me a one arm hug.
"Umm, don't ya think we should leave now? The court is starting to get empty." I said as I looked around.
"It seems you're right." We both get up from the bench, threw the bottles out and headed home.
"I'm glad we met again, Kagami-kun."
"Mee too, (y/n)-chan. Umm, can I walk you home?" He asked a bit nervously.
"Is that a question? Of course!" I winked.
"Okay." Kagami smiled.
As we were walking home, we talked about our memories. We laughed a lot. I felt I was in America again.
"Those were the days." I sighed. „It's a pity that they passed away so quickly."
"Yeah, you're right."
The rest of the way we didn't speak. But suddenly Kagami said, „You're so short. And that's cute."
"Eh?" I turned to face him, but I couldn't 'cause he was looking in another direction with a blushing face.
"Aww, Kagami-kun is blushing. How cute~!"
"Oi, stop it!" He blushed ever more.
"Why would I stop?" I asked and cocked my head to the side.
"If you don't stop it, I have to make you shut up. This way." He pushed me against the front door and kissed me. I just blinked and I was blushing so hard.
"W – what was that for?"
"I wanna bring back those days. And slowly, I'll be successfull. Of course, if you let me do that. . . "
"Why wouldn't I let you do this thing?"
"Okay, I'm asking that much, 'cause I'm unexperienced with girls." He flushed and stared right into my eyes.
"Oh, I see." I nodded and kissed him back passionately. He blushed even more. So did I.
"I got to go now. See you tomorrow. Bye~." He waved me and slowly walked away.
'I love this tsundere BaKagami. I'm curious what he's planning.' With those thoughts I went into the house.
