"Mind if i join you?" Kagami turned around and saw a [h/c] girl, who's around his shoulder. "U-uh...sure." You smiled and put down your things. "I'm [y/n], [y/n] [l/n]." You offered a hand. "Kagami, kagami taiga." He took your hand, shaking it. "How about an one on one?" He hesitated since he didn't want to injure a somone let alone a girl,"Sure.."

"You hesitated..." You said. "Yeah since i don't wanna hurt a girl and get reported." He spun the ball on his fingers in front of his face. You jumped grabbed the ball in a flash and threw it in a hoop earning 3 points. "That's 3 points for me~" He recovered from the shock and smirked. "Alright then."

"That's not fair! You're tall!" You pouted. "Than drink your milk." Kagami teased. "Rude!" You sticked out your tongue. "I wish they had a girl's basketball team." You sighed. "What school do you go to?" Kagami asked. "That's rude. I go to the same school as you. You can't even remember the faces of your classmate." You crossed your arms. "eh? EHHHH?" Kagami exclaimed. "Do you wanna go a bit louder? I don't think mars can hear you." You giggled. "Let's go to maji burger! I like their Vanilla milkshake!" He agreed and stood up grabbing your stuff. "Let's go!" You stood up but your legs soon gave out and your eyelids became heavy. "Ka...ga..mi." That was it, you blacked out.

You opened your eyes, you were in somebody's bed. The smell of curry filled the room you were in. You exited the room and saw a lady with blonde hair wearing a white t shirt and underwear. You blushed when she realised you. She ran towards you for a kiss when a book blocked you from her lips. "Stop kissing strangers alex." Kagami scolded the lady. "Aww you don't want me kissing your girlfriend?" She smirked as kagami blushed. "A-anyways..[y/n] chan, what happened to you? You just collapse, i didn't know what to do so i brought you to my house." You figured,"I'm just tired." You chuckled nervously. "It's already 6? I need to get home." You got your stuff. "I'll accompany you home, you might collapse on the way. "Geez i didn't know i was that fragile after almost beating you in basketball, you even went into the zone during the match." Alex laughed,"Aww is taiga going to be defeated by a girl?" Kagami blushed and stomped out of the apartment. "Thank you alex san." You bowed politely. "Please just call me alex. Take care!"

The both of you walked home, exchanging numbers when you suddenly stop. "[y/n] chan?" Kagami asked. "kagami...i'm tired..." You started to walk like a drunk person, kagami quickly catch you when you are about to fall. "Are you alright?" He piggy backed you. You mumbled something inaudible. He sighed, he didn't know where was your house. He took your phone,"I'm sorry [y/n] chan.." He flipped the phone open and found your mother's number.

Ring~

"Hello dear?" The female voice asked. "I'm sorry but i'm your daughter's classmate, your daughter felt tired and she collapsed." He tried to sound calm. "Oh no! Where are the both of you at?" He looked around and saw the street name. "[your street name]." He said. "Okay take a left turn from the corner in front of you and the house with the sign named '[l/n]' " The lady instructed. He made sure he didn't leave anything beside and made sure you weren't sliding off his back. He followed the instructions and rang the doorbell. A middle age lady, probably in her thirties came out and invited him in. "I'm sorry my daughter has caused you trouble, She has Anemia." Kagami's heart ached," Is she going to be alright?" Your mother hesitant to answer," She's going for a surgery in about one month time. She's been playing basketball to get her mind off the surgery. Kagami kun?" Kagami looked at her. "Please make her happy for that one month.I don't want to see her suffer." She took a tissue. "I'll try..." She smiles,"Thank you."

Every since that day where the two of them met, Kagami got close to [y/n]. He tried his best to make you happy, from playing basketball with her to sleepovers where she can learn how to cook with him. The two of them were always together. [y/n]'s life was filled with happy memories but the day finally came.

"Today's the day..." Kagami muttered. Kagami had bags under his eyes, he was very nervous that you weren't make it to the point where he checked his phone every few minutes to see if he had received any late night messages.

Today luck wasn't in kagami's favour either, He had a basketball match with Kaijo. "I need to focus..." In the end, seirin still won, but everyone in the team knew that kagami was worried about something. "Sorry coach but i have to be somewhere right now. It's important..". Riko allowed him to leave and he dashed out of the gym to the hospital.

"Please be alright. I still haven't confess my feelings for you.."

He asked the front counter asking for [y/n] [l/n]. They told him that you were in the ER room. He dashed his way up there, bumping into some nurses and doctors but muttering a sorry every time he bumped into them. "Kagami kun." Your mother smiled sadly,"Thank you...for making her happy for the past month. She's been telling all the things you did for her. I'm grateful that you are her friend.She in there...i'll leave her with you..prepare yourself...she's not in a good state..." She pat his shoulder and left him to enter the room.

The first time he saw when he entered the room was the machine and the tubes in you. His heart ache seeing you suffer. "[y/n] chan..." Your eyes opened a bit and smiled," How was the game..." Your voice came out weak. "We won.." You smiled. "Remember the first day we met...?" Kagami smiled and nod his head,"I beat you in basketball because you were short." [Y/n] smiled, tears came flowing out. "I wish i could play more basketball with you.."Kagami couldn't take it anymore. He grabbed your hand and said the words. "I love you [y/n]...." You smiled and squeeze his hand,"You have no idea...how long i've waiting for you to say that.." Kagami's tears flow down. He leaned in and placed his lips on your cold ones, mingling your last breath with his.

"[y/n]...no please..."
