chapter 30
Sakura was right
She was right all along. She knew her gut instinct was never wrong. She should have tried harder to stop them. She should have begged them from going to that mission. She understands that now
She understands now as she was running to get to the infametory. where Geto Suguru is laying motionless, heavily injured from the mission
Yeah, the mission was a complete disaster.
The star plasma vessel is dead. The mission was a fail. Gojo Satoru killed the person who assassinated the Star plasma vessel, Riko Amanai.
That's all that she knew
Her heart was pounding as she reached to the infametory. There was Geto, laying unconscious.
She quickly went and started healing him
'3 broken bones, 2 broken ribs. Lungs are fine. 3 fractures. Blood pressure and loss not normal."
She thought as she started to calculate his injuries.
After a long hour he was fully healed. She then put both of her hands on his head as she started to bring him back to consciousness.
Few minutes went by, he started to wake up. She sat there holding his left hand gently.
Slowly his eyes started to adjust to the light. He looked around and understood he is in the infametory.
He tried to get up but she stopped him.
"Hime ?"
He asked, still really confused.
"You gave me quite a scare there. But I am glad, your all right."
Suddenly his eyes waiden
"Satoru -
"He's fine. Alive and well. He killed the assassin."
He sighed in relief. A small grateful smile was what she received from him as a sign of happiness.
"Riko-chan?...."
She shook her head. His eyes closed.
"You were right, Hime. We shouldn't have went there. We failed miserablely."
"You did what you could have done. Don't blame yourself for this. Now you need to get up and go to Gojo. I don't think he's mentally stable right now. He can do something he will regret later. He needs you the most right now."
He nodded and got up with her help
Then to her surprise
He grabbed her and hugged her by the waist. She gasped. Cheeks slitly flushed. She return the hug by wrapping her arms around his neck. They stayed like a moment before he rushed out.
"You two look close now sakura-chan."
It was Haibara, leaning against the wall. Sakura sighed and said
"Their gonna be the only ones who will have to keep each other sane. This, the girls death, this guilt will eat them alive for a few days. It might take them time to heal. a week, mouth or day. I don't know. If we don't put right care to them now, something even terrible could happen. I am fully ready to be with both of them if they need me."
Haibara nodded. He had great trust towards anything his friends and teammate said. She's the best healer after all. She always knows the best, in his opinion atleast.
It always surprised him how easily she could help everyone. It was refreshing to see. It showed how caring she is.
When Gojo came back with Geto, he looked like a walking corpse. It broke Sakura's heart to see him like this.
This silly smile that was always present on his face was gone. He didn't have any expression in his face. It worried Sakura to no ends
Now she's just here. Looking at him as he sat there, looking at nothing in particular.
She slowly went towards him and sat down next to him
"Gojo-senpai?"
She softly shook his upper arm
He looked at her.
She hated this version of him. His eyes, his oh so beautiful eyes, looked so empty. It made her want to look away.
This is the same look shikamaru had after asuma's death. This is the same look her shisuo and Naruto had after jiraiya, her now adoptive father died.
She softly raised her hands, brushing the bangs away from his pretty face. She gently pulled him towards her. hugging his head. It took a moment but He slowly wrapped his arms around her. His face hidden between her neck and chest
"You were right, Hime. We did fail. Sorry I didn't listen to you. "
She sushed him, combing her fingers though his snow coloured locks
"It's okay. You tried your hardest. It's all good. Everything will be fine. It will take time. But it will come together. Believe me, it will."
"Is this the burden you were talking about, Hime? The burden of regret. You really did wanted me to live a carefree life, didn't you? If I listened to you, this would have been prevented. You were right. You're always right. "
Sakura softly chuckled
"It's okay. It's gonna be okay. I promise, we will make it okay.,"
He softly lifted his chin. Making him look at her, softly kissing his forehead, then both of his eyes. Putting her forehead on his
In all day, Gojo smiled a small smile.
"Thank you, Hime. I really needed that."
She chuckled and nodded her head.
They sat there in silence. Enjoying each others comfort
