Kumamon Lover; 373rd Day

The beat fading out from the headphones, Yoongi nods to himself in satisfaction. This sounds good.

After a month of working on this song, he's finally satisfied that it sounds just the way he wants it to. Checking over the time, he sees he finished just at the right time, 5:34 pm. It's just before when he usually leaves.

Saving the file and properly shutting the computer down, he grabs his phone and jacket. Locking up the room, he makes his way to the elevator.

When he gets in, he goes to press the ground floor, but stops just before he does, remembering something. Then, he presses the floor just below his, heart pacing just a little faster in anticipation.

When the door opens, he goes through the hallway, looking for a door with 'Park Jimin' next to it.

When he finds it, he knocks a few times before opening to see Jimin slightly crouched and breathing unsteadily.

Their eyes meet and Yoongi waves, an awkward smile on his lips.

Jimin's breath turns into soft laughter and he smiles back, "Hey, hyung." He straightens up and stretches his arms, yawning.

"You... seem tired," Yoongi comments, eyeing the dustbin with around ten empty water bottles. "How long have you been here?"

Eyes widening slightly, Jimin checks his wristwatch and Yoongi hears a curse under Jimin's breath. "I think... more than ten hours?"

Brows rising, Yoongi asks, "That long? What for?"

Sheepishly, Jimin answers, "I just wanted to get the choreography done..."

Yoongi sighs, and enters the room, grabbing Jimin's bag nearby. "We're going to eat. Let's go."

"B–but–" Jimin's voice cuts short seeing Yoongi's sharp look shot at him.

"But, nothing, I'm not letting you do this to yourself, let's go. It doesn't matter if you haven't showered, we're going anyway."

Without further complaint– although, holding a pout– Jimin wraps up. The two leave the room together and silently make their way to exit the building.

"Where... are we going?" Jimin asks as they're walking along the sidewalk, the opposite way of the bus stop.

"A good diner nearby," Yoongi answers, and the two just walk beside each other in silence.

"Eat up, that's all for you," Yoongi says, looking at Jimin- who was looking down at all the food Yoongi ordered.

"I don't know if I can–"

"Bullshit. Start, then you'll see how hungry you are. If you can't finish it all, I'll eat it."

Jimin looks up at Yoongi, a little unsure, but then sighs, giving in. "Okay, fine. We don't throw away any, right?"

Yoongi smiles and shakes his head, "I wouldn't let that happen, don't worry."

"Okay, then. Thank you for the food~" Jimin mutters, getting his chopsticks ready.

Yoongi glances up at Jimin as he picks up a piece of meat, chuckling internally at Jimin looking at his portion. The latter has already finished and has been staring at Yoongi's food for the past few minutes.

Not putting the piece in his mouth, he places it on Jimin's plate, followed by a few more pieces, with other side dishes. "Here."

Jimin looks up at Yoongi in surprise, eyes glinting, "B–but, they're yours."

"Well, I'm giving them to you," Yoongi says, playfully rolling his eyes. He, then, smiles, gesturing the food. "Eat up. Don't worry about me, I ate three hours ago, so I'm not that hungry."

Looking down at the food, Jimin pauses, "...O... kay," he says before a gentle smile is on his lips and he's already devouring the food.

Yoongi just laughs. "Look at you," he says, "Earlier, you were saying you couldn't eat even your own portion."

Cheeks puffed up with food, Jimin pouts, cheeks tinted pink.

Reaching over to poke Jimin's cheek, Yoongi remarks, "So cute."

Jimin's cheeks redden even more as he starts chewing, eyes averting to somewhere other than Yoongi's.

When both of them are finally done eating, Jimin excuses himself to go to the bathroom.

While waiting for the other to come back, Yoongi just sits there, fiddling with his phone, when he sees a figure outside the large glass window waving at him.

Taehyung?

Taehyung then looks like he realized something and enters the diner, rushing over to Yoongi's table. "Hello, hyung~"

Yoongi blinks, greeting back, "Hey."

Taehyung whines childishly, "You could at least look a little more happy when you see me, hyung. Anyways, what're you doing here? Wait–" Taehyung sees the plates on Yoongi's opposite seat as well.

Taehyung's eyes light up in conclusion. "Are you on a date?!"

Yoongi snorts, "No." He brushes away the tiny thought of how he wishes he was on one.

"Who is it? Do I know her? I can't believe Yoongi hyung is in loovveee~"

Flushing, Yoongi yells, "Yah, I'm not in love!"

"You're blushing! So, you must be!" Taehyung's loud boistering laugh that follows earns them a lot of looks from the other customers, but they eventually just look away.

"Anyways, hope your date goes well, hyung," Taehyung says just as he checks the time, "I've got to get home quick. It's my turn to make dinner tonight. Bye~"

Grumbling, Yoongi bids Taehyung, glad that he finally left, the loudness disappearing.

Who the hell does he think he even is, barging in on me like that, claiming I'm in love?

"Let's go, Yoongi hyung," Jimin's voice enters Yoongi's ears, making the latter jump out of his trance of thoughts

"U–um, yea. Let's go."

As the two walk out, Yoongi steals small glances at Jimin, heart rapidly pacing at the thought that gnaws in his head.

Am I in love?

Jimin's glance catches Yoongi and before Yoongi can do anything, Jimin's already smiling brightly, sending an arrow through Yoongi's heart.

Yoongi's cheeks tint pink as he looks away, thoughts moving a thousand miles per hour before coming to a conclusion.

No. I'm not in love.

It's just a crush.

"Woah, hyung, look, it's a moving dragon statue–" Yoongi looks at Jimin again, the urge of wanting to just hold the man skyrocketing the second he sees the adorable excited look.

Who am I kidding– I'm falling.
