Leaving Nanu alone with Principal in their room to complete the formalities Sameer went back to his room to pack his stuff... though he silently agreed to Nanu without any argument, but still was in shock for this sudden change of his Nanu's behavior...

Since his childhood, Nanu was the closest person in his life, who is a role model for him... since he always believed on his Nanu and his decision more than anyone is his life, he never go against of any of his decision for him... he was still in daze thinking Nanu's sudden arrival and decision of taking him back but without asking anything he followed him and packed his suitcase, forever to leave the hostel. He has lots of questions in his mind unanswered and knows very well that Nanu will not answer him even if he asks, until time comes. So better to leave it for now...

While waiting for Sameer to come back from room after packing, Nanu was roaming in the school campus garden and remembering the morning incident which shattered him from the core to take this sudden decision of coming to Mussoorie and bringing Sameer back to Ahmedabad...

Flashback (Delhi):

Nanu reach Delhi Airport early morning hours. After landing he was in such a hurry to reach his daughters house as well aware that today is result day for his beloved grandson's Sameer and Rohan.

Sameer is his daughter's first child with her first husband who died when Sameer was just a child. Rohan is his daughter's stepson from his second husband. Deepika born after few years of her second marriage with Vivek Somani.

Though he loves both his grandsons equally and daughter Deepika equally, but always have a softer corner for Sameer. Even after her daughter's second wedding he keeps Sameer with him only but after 3 years sudden demise of his beloved wife, he was forceful to leave Sameer in a hostel on insist of Vivek Somani, his son-in-law. Though he loved him very much, but it was difficult for him to handle a kid along with house and business. After his wife's death he indulge himself in in expanding his business as per changing & uptrends his business. He agreed to Vivek and Vishakha as now they are his parents and was assured that though Sameer is in hostel, but they will surely keep on visiting him frequently. Vishakha ensure that Sameer will also spend all his holidays in Delhi with loads of love and fun with his siblings.

To surprise all, he reached at Somani's residence without informing anyone in advance. He noticed the fun filled atmosphere and celebration of Rohan's good academic result of 97% as a topper in 10th Class same as Sameer. After blessing to Rohan and meet with all at home, he enquired about Sameer, finding him not around.

Nanu asked, "Vishakha, Sameer najar nahin aa raha, so raha hai kya abhi tak... aaj toh uska result aaya hoga na"

Vishakha replied casually, "Nahin papa, Sameer to hostel mein hi hai... Iss baar vacation per voh Delhi nahin aaya..."

Nanu asked surprisingly, "kKya matlab nahin aaya... kyun kya ho gaya? Sab theek to hai na?" he was expecting Sameer to be in Somani's house celebrating his success but got surprised knowing he chose to stay in hostel all alone...

Vishakha offered him tea with a smile, "voh actually Mummy ji's guests were expected to come from London during these holidays and we were needing the guest rooms, so we just inform Sameer about this. He himself withdraw the idea to come here saying he has some personal work at hostel... you know na Papa Sameer kitna introvert hai aur hum uski privacy mein dakhal nahin dena chahte the..."

Nanu asked surprisingly, "aur voh wahan akela hai... hostel me toh holidays honge na... usake saare dost bhi apane ghar chale gaye honge... tumne phone kiya usko ki voh akele kaise rah raha hai..."

Vivek interfere, "toh kya hua papa ji. Usey toh vaise bhi aadat hai akele rahne ki. Yahaan aake bhi voh kahan kisi se milta julta hai. Guest room mein hi to baitha rahta he akele saara din... bas naashte aur khaane ke time hi sirf dikhta hai... na kisi se jyaada baat karta hai na hi Rohan Deepika ki tarah ghar mein masti karta hai..."

Nanu got shocked hearing about Sameer's behavior from Vivek... he keeps thinking, "Strange, mein toh jab bhi usase phone pe baat karta tha tho voh hamesha batata tha ki voh bahut enjoy karta hai yahan aakar sabke saath. Ghumna, phirna, outing with family and all... lekin Vivek and Vishakha toh alag hi kahani suna rahe hai... toh Sameer ne jo bhi mujhse kaha kya voh sab ek jhooth tha... lekin mera Sameer toh kabhi jhuth nahin bolta... mujhe pata karna hoga ki sach kya hai..."

Vivek stood going to get ready, "Vishakha, please mere kapde nikaal do. I am getting late for office. Vaise bhi aaj Rohan ke result ki Khushi mein bahut badi party rakhi hai ghar pe. Papaji, aapse sham ko milta hun, abhi bohot intjaam karne hai..."

Vishakha also followed him inside their room, "Papa, aap aaraam kariye, mein aati hoon... itna kaam pada hai aur kitna kam time hai..."

Vivek's Mom seeing Nanu's uneasiness, "arey samdhi ji, pareshaan mat hoiye aap... Sameer ko toh akele hi rehna pasand hai na bachpan se" she said smiling sarcastically, "bada hi pyara bachcha hai hamara Sameer beta... bechara bina Maa Baap ke bhi khush rehna sikh gaya hai... akele..."

Nanu suddenly recalling something called Vishakha, "ek minute Vishakha, Sameer ka bhi toh result aaya hoga na aaj... kya raha... tumse baat huyi uski..."

Vishakha replied casually, "pata nahin Papa... mujhe time hi nahin mila abhi tak... subah se kitne phone aa rahe hai Rohan ko congrats karne ke liye... jab waqt milega toh phone karke puchh lungi... aap rest kijiye, mein abhi aayi" saying this she left in her room leaving Nanu in daze...

Nanu was totally shaken and surprised with all these findings. He was totally stunned and feels hurt as well. There was one more person sitting in the room listening all these conversation – Rohan

Seeing him alone and lost in his thoughts, Rohan came sitting close to him, "Nanaji, mujhe na aapko apna Garden dikhana hai, kya aap mere saath baahar chalenge..."

Vivek's Mom trying to stop Rohan, "arey Rohan, tum jaake sham ki party ki preparation karo. It's all for you na beta..."

Rohan: Dadi, mein thodi der Nanaji ke saath ghoom kar aaya. Bas 5 minute..." before Dadi interrupt further, Rohan almost drag Nanaji outside.

Rohan in serious tone, "Nanaji, mein aapse kuchh kehna chahata hun..."

Nanaji asked softly, "bolo beta..."

Rohan, "Nanaji, mujhe aapse Sameer ke baare me baat karani hai.. mein bahut time se aap se baat karna chahata tha par Sameer ne hi mujhe kasam de ke rok liya tha... par ab aur nahin. Mein use ghut ghut kar jeete huye nahin dekh sakte. He deserves to be happy aur aap hi usaki khushiyon ka khyal rakh sakte ho sirf"

Nanu asked surprisingly, "mein kuchh samajha nahin. Khul ke bolo kya baat hai..." he knew the bonding between his grandsons

Rohan, "Nanaji, Sameer bahut akela hai... use yahan koi pyar nahin karta. Jab bhi voh chhuttiyon mein yahan aata hai, meri Dadi puri koshish karti hai usey mujhse aur Deepika se dur rakhne ki. Humein usase baat bhi nahin karne deti.. usake saath gairon ki tarah bartav hota hai iss ghar mein. Voh sabke saath hoke bhi akele room me hi khaana khaata hai.. aur kai baar to khaata bhi nahin, aise hi so jaata hai...

After a pause, he continued, "maine kai baar mummy papa se baat karne ki koshish bhi ki, par mujhe chhota samajh ke unhone daant diya. Mummy ko bhi usaki koi parwah nahin hai...

Iss baar bhi dadi ne guest's ka bahana bana kar Sameer ko yahan aane nahin diya aur mummy ne usey phone par mana kar diya... maine kitna kaha ki voh mere saath mere room mein ruk jayega lekin koi nahin maana..."

He looked at Nanu with teary eyes, "sach toh yeh hai ki voh yahan sirf aapki Khushi ke liye aata tha... taaki aapko usaki chinta na ho... aako yeh hi lage ki voh hum sabke saath khush hai... ek pariwaar ki tarah... lekin yeh sab ek jhuth hai Nanu..."

Nanu asked surprisingly, "par Sameer ne toh mujhe kabhi aisa kuchh nahin bataya kabhi... jab bhi maine phone kiya, voh hamesha mujhe khush laga tum sabke saath... sabki bohot baatein karta hai voh mujhse"

Rohan: Haan kyunki voh aapko pareshan nahin karna chahata. Vaise bhi vo bahut emotional hai aapke liye. Agar voh aapse apne hi parents ki burai karta toh kya aapko achchha lagta. Aur aap bhi business mein itane busy the..."

Nanu feel like someone pierce his heart and a lone tear drop from his eyes. He reprimands himself for being so careless towards his own grandson and left him alone in this world...

Rohan: Nanaji, Sameer ne mujhe mana kiya tha aapko batane se par mein aur chup nahin rah sakta. Please ab aap hi kuchh kijiye... mere bhai ko bacha lijiye andheron mein jaane se.. isase pehle ki bahut der ho jaye... maine uska akelapan aur dard mehsoos kiya hai jab voh chhup chhup kar hum sabko ek saath dekhta tha... kaise akele kamre mein saari raat rota hai mera bhai..." saying this Rohan hug Nanu and cried feeling his pain... even if they are not real brother's but they both had affection towards each other...

After few minutes, Nanu decides something and ask Rohan to call a taxi immediately...

Without asking anything Rohan did the same and Nanu left Somani Mansion without meeting with anyone to Mussoorie to bring back his son, his jaan Sameer...

Flashback end...

Nanu's trance break hearing Sameer calling him repeatedly, "Nanu, kya hua... aap kahan kho gaye... mein kabse aapko aawaj laga raha tha..."

Nanu smiled faintly, "kuchh nahin beta... Chalein agar packing ho gayi ho toh..."

Sameer nodded his head agreeing, "jee Nanu. Chaliye varna jyaada raat ho jayegi..."

They both left hostel premises quite late afternoon, outside partially cloudy. While sitting in taxi with Nanu, Sameer keep on watching the leaving empty roads of city where he spent 8 years of his painful & lonely life...
