Sameer took the highway route to avoid heavy traffic within the city due to peak working hour time to reach early back to college. He was driving while lost in deep thinking, "isse dupatta dun ki nahin... le toh liya par himmat nahin ho rahi..... kahin bura na maan jaaye"

Naina was busy in selecting cassette to play in tape recorder when she saw a truck coming from the opposite side in full speed and crossed their car dangerously closed to them with loud honking, making noise on which she screamed loudly, "naaaaaaaaahin"

She shut her eyes due to fear and pressed her palms to her ears. Sameer's trance broke and he put the brake instantly and parked the car at corner of the road and saw her... she was breathing heavily, shivering badly with tiny drops of sweat on her forehead ........

Sameer got worried seeing her like this... he asked, "Naina.... Naina kya hua... tum itna darr kyun gayi... dekho meri taraf dekho.... tum theek ho na... kya hua achaanak..." he was totally clueless what makes her so frightened suddenly

Naina got scared and hold his arm tightly, hiding her face, "voh.. voh.. Sameer... voh truck... voh saamne se... truck"

He rubbed her back gently to calm her but didn't succeed, her situation gets worst. He searched for water, but bottle was empty. He removed his belt and came out of car and move to her side, he opened the door for her, but she was so scared and shivering that didn't even move an inch. He holds her hand firmly and almost pull her out from the car. He forwards her crutches to hold but she was so scared having no energy to hold it properly or stand on her own legs even ...

He holds her tightly from shoulder, with his support they move to a nearby tea stall on roadside to get some water for her. He maker her sit comfortably in a bench lying there... he stood to get water bottle for her but realized he left his wallet in car, also she was not ready to leave his hand getting scared...

Sameer (calmly) : Naina tum ruko mein car se wallet lekar aaya paani lene ke liye" he tried to sooth her but she seems reluctant to allow him to go anywhere away from her...

He asked seeing her so much scared, "kyaa hua achanak... kuchh toh bolo... aur please ro mat.. ismein darrne ki koi baat nahin hai... voh sirf ek truck tha jo jor se horn baja raha tha, aur hamaare paas se gujar bhi gaya... dekho hum theek hai... kuchh nahin hua hai.. aur mein hoon na tumhare saath"

He was standing in front of her trying to calm her, his back facing the car... suddenly another truck came from back and banged on their car badly, crushing the car dickey brutely... his car was parked on slanting road, so it moved with the shudder and hit on the roadside tree with a loud boom voice ...

A loud scream came from her mouth seeing the scene ahead... she gets more panicked and hugged him tightly... he can't even move back to see what happen to car but keep holding her tightly in his embrace as this time nothing was more important than her... she was crying badly in his arms making her heart pinched...

Two other men were sitting there at tea stall stands up and saw the truck driver reversing the truck and ran from their... Sameer turned his head slightly still keeping her in his arms to see the car, which was totally crushed from both back and front both sides... he got shivered seeing the car condition and imagining what happen if they were inside the car...

One man shouts : pakdo usse.... usane jaan bujh kar car ko takkar maari hai.....

Second man : arey voh toh bhaag gaya..." they both came back to Sameer and Naina...

One man : arey beta tum toh bach gaye... agar car mein hote toh aaj tum donon ka bachna mushkil tha... kitni berahmi se car ko jaankar takkar maari hai uss driver ne aur bhaag gaya..."

Sameer looked at her who was almost half conscious in his arms, breathing heavily, he sprinkled some water on her face ... she gained her senses back after few moments passed but still seems in pain...

Sameer : Naina, tum theek ho na... dekho kuchh nahin hua hum donon ko... aaj tumhari wajah se mein bach gaye... agar tumne roka nahin hota toh mein car mein hi hota aur... par ab sab theek hai..." looking towards man standing there he asked, "uncle yahaan aas paas kahin phone hai... mujhe ghar phone karna hoga"

Man directed him towards the PCO next to tea stall... he stands to go there but she held her hand tightly nodding no... he assures her that he will be back in a minute and rush to PCO. He called Nanu at factory...

Sameer : Nanu mein Sameer bol raha hun... ek problem ho gayi hai... voh meri car ka accident ho gaya hai...

Nanu (worried) : accident? Tu theek toh hai na.. tujhe lagi toh nahin aur Rohan... Rohan kaisa hai...tum sab log saath ho kya..

Sameer : Nahin Nanu mein akela hun (he hides about Naina) ... voh mein toh car se baahar khada tha jab ek truck ne khadi car ko takkar maar diya... sirf car hi damage hui hai... shayad usaka truck imbalance ho gaya tha..." he was still clueless that why someone purposely hit his car so hid the situation describes by people witnessed the accident...

Nanu worriedly, "tu isi waqt wahaan se nikal ... car ke liye mein munshiji ko bhejta hun.. tu ghabra mat... aur haan ghar jaldi aana tum sab log... mein bhi pahunchta hun..."

Sameer disconnects the line and comes out from PCO and rush to Naina who was still sitting quiet and scared... he let her drink some water to keep her relax but her condition was even getting worst. He stops an auto passing by and make her sit inside... after settling, he moved but she stops him going towards car... he assured her putting her other hand on back side of her palm and came back in a minute after getting their bags and gifts from car which they bought and sits next to him in auto...

Sameer tried to relax her, "Naina, please relax... sab theek hai aur voh bhi sirf tumhari wajah se... aaj agar tumhare kaaran mein us car se nahin nikalata to hum donon ka bachna mushkil hota" he holds her hand and assure her that all is well because of her...

Naina sits quiet whole time, just keeping her head on his shoulder... he caressed her hair and trying to calm down her before reaching college. They reach college and enters in gate when all others approach them

Preeti asked concernedly: kahaan chale gaye the tum donon... Rohan ne bataya kuchh jaruri kaam tha...

Sameer looked at Naina, smiles bit and hint her to give gift to her. Naina looked at him and forward the gift packet to Preeti wishing her again and hugged her back...

Rohan : Par tum donon ke chehre aise utare kyun hai... koi bhoot dekh liya kya....

Pandit : aur haan tum auto se gaye the kya... par car bhi nahin hai parking mein...

Sameer looked at Naina and narrates the whole story to all (avoiding her getting scare seeing a truck coming from front)... he told that they were stopped at tea stall to munch something and a truck hit their car which he told to Nanu also.

They all got scared and boys hug to Sameer and girls to Naina...

Sameer : Preeti tum please Naina ko ghar le jao... yeh bahut darr gayi hai aur thak bhi gayi hai...

Naina : tum bhi please ghar jao, par sambhal kar..." Sameer smiles and nodded yes feeling touched that in her own worst condition, she is still concerned about him...

They all left college in separate autos, but all were worried and tensed for each other

In auto, Rohan asked, "Sameer, tu theek hai na... mujhe toh sun kar itna darr lag raha hai tujhpar kya beeti hogi.."

Sameer : Mein to theek hun par Naina bahut jyada darr gayi thi... bahut mushkil se sambhal paya usako... mujhe toh usaki chinta ho rahi hai... is accident ka bura asar pada hai us par....

Rohan : Haan maine bhi dekha, voh bilkul chup si thi... bas tujhe hi dekhe ja rahi thi, teri bahut fiqr karti hai...

Munna : Karegi kyun nahin, pyar jo karti hai hamare bhai se itna... kya hua jo ab tak kaha nahin... usaki aankhon se saaf dikhta hai..

Sameer : yeh sab chhodo aur ghar par dhyan rakhna Naina ka jikr nahin hona chahiye... maine Nanu ko bola hai ki mein akela tha car mein...

Rohan : Kyun par tu Nanu ko Naina ke baare mein kyun nahin bata deta... mujhe vishwas hai unhein Naina bahut pasand aayegi...

Sameer (smilingly) : Mujhe bhi pata hai, par jab tak mein khud Naina ko apne dil ki baat nahin bata deta, Nanu ko nahin batana chahta...

Pandit : Haan yeh bhi theek hai.. pehla haq to Naina ka hi hai sab janane ka... tere pyar ka..." they all smiled and reached home chatting in between that how to hid Naina's presence from Nanu
