KRX350: Hello everybody, KRX350 here with another story idea. First of all, I wanted to say I'm sorry for not updating any of my stories. My health has deteriorated since the end of December last year and now I'm going to have an operation in the next few months and there's the fact that I might die from the operation... granted my chance at survival has increased but I couldn't help it. Anyway this story is a crossover between .hack and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's with the upcoming release of .hack//G.U. Last Recode in November for the series' 15th Anniversary and I can't wait! If I'm still alive of course... Bad joke I know. Anyway hope you enjoy the story idea and to the people who are interested, let me know what you think and if you want this story to be real, just comment or PM me. Also one more thing I decide to do something different, the cards are going to be in their japnese traslated name of the cards because I prefer them over a number of the official TCG names but due to how annoying and confusing that might be for all you, I decided to use the japnese traslated name but to compromise whenever a card name, Monster type or Attribute is mentioned in a chapter, I will be putting the TCG name/term in brackets [Like this] to make easier for all of you if you want to look up on the cards. But that will be the first time that they are used or mention in the chapter, meaning if a card appeared multiple times in a chapter after it the first time that they are used or mention, I will not be including the TCG name. However if that same card appeared in a future chapter, I will be including it. Also for the cards whose TCG name are direct tranlations of the japanese OCG names and as such I will use this gimmick for them.

"Ore no senkou.(1) Draw!" Sid called as he drew his sixth card before grabbing one of them. "First, I'll summon Assault Gundog [Assault Dog] in ATK mode!" As Sid played his card, a Doberman Pincher appeared on the field wearing bits of green armor on its body and mounted machine guns on its sides. (4/ATK: 1200/DEF: 800)

"And then I'll set a card face-down!" The Officer continued as he pushed a card into his Duel Disk, causing a reversed card to briefly appear next to him. "Tān endo!(2)"

"Ore no tān!(3)" Ryou said, drawing his sixth card. "I'll start by playing the Magic Card, Large Cold Wave [Cold Wave]! With this, neither of us can activate or set Magic or Trap cards until my next turn!" He said next as his opponent's set card froze. "Next, I summon Epitaph User - Haseo in ATK mode!" Ryou declared. Appearing on the field was was a teenage boy with silver hair styled back. His eyes were crimson red with what looked like red tattoos shaped like lightning bolts over his eyes. He also had a pair of red tattoos on his shoulders and another on his bare stomach. His attire consisted of a short black vest made out of belts and a thick belt acting as the vest's collar. He also wore black gloves that stopped just under his armpits, the wrists decorated with red markings. He also wore a pair of tight black pants, three belts on each leg wrapped around his upper legs and a pair of thin boots, also with red markings. On the back of his waist were a pair of black-and-gold blades, but they weren't his weapons. In his hands he wielded his true weapons, a pair of seemingly-blunt shortswords with small spikes jutting out from where the weapons curved. His facial expression hinted that he was ready to take down anyone or anything that got in his way. (4/ATK: 1500/DEF: 1000)

"What the hell is that monster?" Sid asked with a confused expression.

"Not one you have to worry about for long. Next, I'll activate Haseo's ability! Which allows me to Special Summon an "Epitaph" monster from my hand and I'll summon Epitaph User - Atoli in DEF mode!" Appearing next to Haseo was a teenage girl with short blonde hair and amber-colored eyes. She wore a short green dress that stopped a little past her waist and a pair of white puffy shorts. She also wore white stockings that stopped at her thighs, a pair of high heels and a white disc-shaped hat. On the back of her dress was a pair of white wings, though they were only for decoration. In her hands she held a staff with the end of it looking like it was a blooming flower. (4/500/2000)

"So you actually have some decent cards." Sid said. "I was expecting Satellite Scum like you to have nothing but trash."

"You'd be surprised of what we can find." Ryou said. "First thing first, since I control another "Epitaph" monster, Atoli cannot be selected for an attack! Not only that, Haseo gains 400 ATK thanks to his second effect! Also, Atoli gains 200 ATK and DEF due to her other effect!" Ryou explained as both of his monsters grew stronger. (4/ATK: 1500 - 1900/DEF: 1000) (4/ATK 500 - 700/DEF: 2000 - 2200) "Now Haseo, attack Assault Gundog!" Ryou ordered.

The teen gripped his weapons and charged at Sid's insect before Haseo jumped into the air and smashed his weapons into the dog's head, causing Sid's monster to shattered.

Sid: 3300

Ryou: 4000

"Assault Gundog's Monster Effect!" Sid countered. "When it's destroyed by battle, I can Special Summon any number of Assault Gundogs from my Deck!" In response, his deck auto-shuffled before sticking out two cards, which Sid grabbed and played. "And I'll summon two of them!" Appearing on the officer's field were two more copies of Assault Gundog. (4/ATK: 1200/DEF: 800) x2

"And at the end of my turn, Atoli's effect increases my Life Points by 400 for each monster on my field. Tān endo." Ryou concluded as Atoli waved her staff around, a faint light surrounding him as his Life Points increased.

Sid: 3300

Ryou: 4800

"Ore no tān! Draw!" Sid said as he drew his next card and looked at it, a grin appearing on his face. "I'll release one of my Assault Gundogs..." As Satoru said this, one of his Monsters morphed into a strange, rainbow-colored substance before turning into a portal. "To Advance Summon Wapper Dragon [Handcuffs Dragon] in ATK mode!"

The Monster to appear next on his field was rather thin creature with a long body and wings, its head and tail ending in handcuffs, as its name implied. (5/ATK: 1800/DEF: 1800)

"And that monster does what?" Ryou asked.

Sid merely smirked, "That'll be for you to find out. Tān endo."

"Ore no tān!" Ryou declared drawing his next card. "I summon the Tuner Monster, Epitaph of Death in ATK mode! Appearing next to Haseo was a set of red patters that could fit Haseo perfectly but with horns curving around the sides of its head making it look demonic. (2/ATK: 0/DEF: 0)

"A Tuner Monster?" Satoru muttered, wondering where a Satellite got such cards, but then smirked. "Its to weak anyway. Why would you summon such a weak monster in ATK mode!"

'Although I have the monsters to summon that but... it might cause more trouble for both Kaa-san(4) and I.' Ryou thought before saying "I wouldn't count it out just yet, Sid."

"What?" His opponent narrowed his eyes.

"Just like Haseo, Epitaph of Death gains 200 ATK for each "Epitaph" monster on my field." Ryou explain as all three of his monsters grew stronger. (4/ATK: 1900 - 2100/DEF: 1000) (4/ATK 700 - 800/DEF: 2200 - 2300) (2/ATK: 0 - 600/DEF 0) "And now, Epitaph of Death... attack Sid directly!"

"What?!" Sid gritted.

"You can do that?" Aira wondered.

"When Epitaph of Death is on the field and I have two or more "Epitaph" monsters on my side, I can attack you directly!"

"Tch... reverse card, open!" Sid countered as his set card rose. "Guard Block [Defense Draw]! This will reduce the damage you deal to me to zero and then I draw a card!" A barrier appeared around him as Epitaph of Death was about to land its attack, striking the shield instead before backing off and returning to Ryou's side of the field as he drew a card. "Sorry kid, but you'll have to do better than that."

"But I can still have Haseo attack your Assault Gundog!" Ryou said as the monster charged in and stabbed the dog on the chest, destroying into pixels.

Sid: 2400

Ryou: 4800

"I play Treasure Cards from the Heavens [Card of Sanctity] allowing both of us to draw until we have six cards in our Hand!" Both players then drew cards. "I'll place three cards face-down. Tā-n endo." Ryou concluded. "Oh, and Atoli's effect increases my Life Points by 400 for each monster on my field.

Sid: 2400

Ryou: 6000

"Ore no tān! Draw!" Sid declared as he drew his next card, smirking as he looked at it. " I summon Guard Dog in ATK mode!" As the officer played his card, the Monster that appeared was a rather large, purple-skinned dog with a yellow collar around its neck an a harness around its torso covered in spikes. (3/ATK: 1500/DEF: 500)

"Reverse Card, open! Pitfall of Naraka [Bottomless Trap Hole]! With this, your Guard Dog is removed from play!"

A hole opened up underneath Sid's monster, causing it to fall into the pit and dissolve in the acid, making its owner to grimace for a moment before smirking.

"At the very least, I got you to waste that card." The officer said as he grabbed three cards from his hand and pushed them into his Graveyard slot. "I'll discard these three Level-5 Monsters..." The images of three Hell Gundogs [Infernal Blasthounds] appeared on the field and circled around him before turning red, blue and yellow and colliding together. "To Special Summon my Montage Dragon!" Appearing next on Sid's field was a large, three-headed dragon with blue scales. (8/ATK: ?/DEF: 0)

"Oh dear..." Aira murmured.

"Shimatta...(5)" Ryou muttered.

"Montage Dragon's Monster Effect! Its ATK becomes equal to the total Level of the Monsters I've sent to the Graveyard times 300!" Sid explained. "And since all three of those Monsters were Level-5..."

Without needing to finish his sentence, his Monster gained a massing increase. (8/ATK: ?-4500/DEF: 0)

"Trap Card, open! Emissaries of Reconciliation [Waboku]! For the duration of this turn, my monsters cannot be destroyed and I won't take any Battle Damage!" Ryou countered.

"You're just stalling!" Sid spat. "At my next turn, my Montage Dragon will destroy you." The officer then took his two cards from his hand and pushed them into his Duel Disk. "I'll set two cards face-down. Tā-n endo."

'He's right, I am just stalling. His dragon's got 4500 ATK and has two face-downs. I could Haseo's effect and attack directly with Epitaph of Death, but that Montage Dragon will be a problem and none of my face-down can help me on his next turn.' Ryou then looked at his hand. 'The only way for me to win is to summon one of them and I could just summon that but I can't not while Kaa-san is still in Satellite while I do have an Epitaph in my hand but is not Atoli's. My only hope is draw her or else I'll...'

"Hurry up and make you last move already!" Sid snapped. "Then, my Monsters will tear right through you and I'll have myself a brand new deck and D-Wheel while you and your mother spend your lives behind bars where you scum belong."

"W-What?" Aira gasped.

"Kisama(6)! Leave Kaa-san out of this!" Ryou growled, glaring at his opponent "She has done nothing wrong!"

"That doesn't matter to me." Satoru said with a shrug. "I caught her with you around that D-Wheel of yours and while you have a deck. As far as I could know, she assisted you with both, which makes her an accessory."

"That's bullshit!" Ryou said. "You have no evidence to back it up!"

"Do you really think anyone in the city cares what happens to you Satellite scum?" Satoru questioned. "Why do you think all of our criminals are sent here? It's to get undesirables out of sight and out of mind."

"Is that all you see?" Ryou muttered. "You think just because we live in Satellite means we're automatically criminals?! Well you're wrong! Everyone here in Satellite are only trying to do one and that's to survive! All you ever do is abuse your damn authority and take advantage of us! Well no more! I'm not gonna stand around and let you get away with it!"

"Ryou..." Aira murmured.

"Ever hear the phrase 'actions speak louder than words,' kid? Cause so far I can barely hear a thing." Sid said with a chuckle. "Now hurry up and take your turn so I can arrest you and her."

"Tch..." Ryou gritted as he looked at his Deck. 'Onegai(7)...' He mentally requested as he grabbed the top card and drew his card. The moment he drew it he slowly turned it over, his eyes widening in shock at the card he drew, his mind then began to see the card and series of lines similar of that of electrical circuits in the digital ether and lines of light connected to one card then another and then another. After a few moments he knew just what he need to do.

BGM: COLOURS by Flow

"Time to end this!" Ryou declared.

"Oh? And what can you possibly do?" Sid questioned. "All you have is nothing compare to my Montage Dragon, with its 4500 ATK, it will rip through anything you have."

"Watch me. First, I summon Epitaph User - Pi in ATK mode!" Appearing on Ryou's field was a rather scantily-clad woman wearing a bright-red outfit consisting of some kind of bra vest, pink high heels, light-armor covering her lower legs up to her knees, white gloves that stopped halfway up her lower arms, and some kind of red light-armor that covered her thighs, but had an opening in the front and back revealing something that looked like panties, but he doubted that fact. She also wore an orange necktie and a pair of glasses. On her shoulders were a pair of purple tattoos and there was even one on her stomach. Her hair was long and pink, done up on both sides to look like it was styled in large pigtails. (4/2000/100) At the appearance of Pi, Ryou's monsters once again grew stronger. (4/ATK: 2100 - 2300/DEF: 1000) (4/ATK 800 - 900/DEF: 2300 - 2400) (2/ATK: 600 - 800/DEF 0) Though at this point in time Ryou regretted summoning her to the field as she now had Sid's full attention. Luckily he had a few tricks that could remedy that.

"I activate Haseo's effect! Since I control two or more "Epitaph User" monsters I can destroy all Magic and Trap cards you control! But Haseo can't attack the turn I activate this effect." Ryou explained.

"What!" Sid gasped as a heavy wind picked up and destroyed his two facedown cards.

"Next, I activate Haseo other effect and Special Summon the Tuner Monster, Epitaph of The Avenger in ATK mode!" Ryou said as he played his card

Appearing beside Pi was a set of pink patters and just like Epitaph of Death and this monster could fit Pi perfectly judging by where the patters were placed it. (4/ATK: 1000/DEF: 0) And with the appearance of the new monster, Haseo, Atoli and Epitaph of Death grew stronger. (4/ATK: 2300 - 2500/DEF: 1000) (4/ATK 900 - 1000/DEF: 2400 - 2500) (2/ATK: 800 - 1000/DEF 0)

"Why would you even want to do something like that? You're just summoning weaker Monsters." Sid said, before his eyes widened in realization as he remember what kind of monsters Epitaph of The Avenger and Epitaph of Death are. "Unless...!"

"Looks like you've caught on." Ryou smirked. "I tune my Level 4 Epitaph of The Avenger with my Level 4 Epitaph User - Pi!" He declared. The Avenger and Pi jumped up high in the sky but they didn't perform the Synchro Summon usually seen, where the Tuner would turn into green energy rings. and the other monster/monsters, would turn into an orange outline of itself/themself leaving stars behind and the latter lined up in the tunnel of rings. Instead Epitaph of The Avenger monster overlapped itself with Epitaph User - Pi's body, fitting perfectly against her form begore the two were enveloped in a blinding flash of light. And at that point Ryou began to chant.

"Vengeance shall call forth the power of strength and rage! Twilight is darkest before dawn! Synchro Summon! Show them your power, Level 8, The Avenger, Tarvos!"

Once the light died down, a figure slowly descended onto Ryou's side of the field. The figure looked like woman with a pink body with her "hair" appearing more like large, pink wings. A white mask covered her face, her arms held above her head and bound by a spiked wheel while her legs bound together by wrapping. A giant silver stake rammed through her abdomen from behind her, the back of said stake had a silver rings with five spikes on it. (8/3000/2100)

"A Synchro Monster? This Satellite Scum has a Synchro Monster?" Sid questioned aloud in shock but then grinned nervously. "But its ATK is only 3000! It doesn't come anywhere close to my Montage Dragon!"

"Who said I was battling it?" Ryou asked. "I activate Tarvos effect! Once per turn I can destroy one card my opponent controls. If the destroyed card is a monster, Tarvos gains half of the destroyed monster's ATK until my End Phase!"

"What?! It has that kind of effect?!" Satoru shouted in shock as his eyes widened before he turned his attention towards his Montage Dragon and Tarvos spread her wings and flew high into the air. Once at a good distance, the Synchro Monster stretched her wings out as they were soon covered in hexagonal-shaped objects. The stake also had these objects placed on it as if turning it into a giant cannon. At the tip of the stake, a black sphere steadily began to form

"Data Drain!" Ryou declared, and soon the black sphere was shot, falling like an anvil onto the dragon.

Montage Dragon roared in pain before exploding into pixels, but the pixels were soon pulled into the air directly towards Tarvos, whose cannon changed into some kind of ring that absorbed the pixilated energy. Once finished, Tarvos descended onto the field again as its power rose. (8/3000-5250/2100) Sid took a step back at Ryou monster's strengths.

"You're finished. Tarvos, attack his Wrapper Dragon!"

Tarvos let out a roar as the silver stake slowly pulled itself out of the monster's back and levitating over her head. The stake then aimed itself at Sid's Wapper Dragom before launching itself with great speed, impaling the monster. Less than a second later, the dragon exploded while Sid cried out as the attack sent him flying back.

Sid: 0

Ryou: 6000

"Great job, Ryou!" Aira congratulated as she clapped for him.

Ryou turned to face his mother and smiled, then returned his attention to Sid as the officer was pushing himself back up, "I won the duel, now leave us alone!"

Sid got back to his feet, resting his hand on his D-Wheel and glared at Ryou, "You really think I'd keep my promise to some trash from Satellite?! All I need to do is make a call and you're through!"

"You bastard!" Ryou snapped.

Sid laughed as he reached for the call button on his D-Wheel when an alert sounded from it.

["Attention, all units! We have a theft in process! The suspect is on a red D-Wheel!"] A voice came from the monitor of Sid's D-Wheel. The officer gritted his teeth, knowing he will be in trouble with the higher-ups if he didn't respond. He then turned his attention back to Ryou.

"You got lucky this time, Satellite... but the next time we meet, I'll haul you to the Detention Center personally!" Yhe officer swore before climbing onto his D-Wheel and drive off, sirens blaring.

"Fui... that was a close call." Ryou sighed as his mother appraoched.

"Are you alright?" Aira asked worriedly, checking on her son's condition.

"I'm fine Kaa-san.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes Kaa-san, I'm fine." The boy chuckled. "It's gonna take more than that officer to bring me down."

"Well, if you're sure." Aira got out. "I just hope that officer doesn't come back here."

"I hope so too." Ryou sighed as both of them looked towards the road where Sid had drove off.
