NCT Jisung (Claustrophobia)

Jisung's POV

"Sungie come here." I looked over to Mark who was getting his make up done. We're due to go on stage in about half an hour to perform at the award show and everyone's really excited.

"Yes Hyung," I said as I walked over to him.

"I think I left my phone in the van, would you mind going up and grabbing it," he asked me.

"Sure Hyung. Is it by your seat," I asked him.

"Yeah, it should be in the door by where I was sitting," he said with a nod.

"Ok, I'll be back in a bit," I said with a small smile before walking off. We're on the underground floor as we're below stage which means I need to take the elevator up to the first floor. Yay me. I've had claustrophobia since I was 5 years old after I was trapped underneath my bed for 2 hours. Long story but let me just say, don't hide under your bed for hide and seek if you won't be able to get back out. I can deal with short elevator trips though, which is why I was now waiting outside the door of the elevator.

"Jisung right." I jumped slightly and turned around, coming face to face with none other than TXT's Taehyun. Fun fact, Taehyun and I both have the exact same birthday. Cool right.

"Oh, hey Taehyun," I said bowing respectfully.

"No need to bow, we're the same age anyway," he said with a small smile.

"What're you doing here," I asked him.

"Oh, Bamgyu wanted me to get him a snack before we perform," he replied with a shrug.

"What about you," he asked me.

"Mark Hyung left his phone in the van so he wanted me to go grab it," I said just as the door opened. Taehyun walked in straight away but I paused briefly.

"You coming," he asked me as he held his hand in front of the door so it couldn't close.

"You coming," he asked with a raised eyebrow.

"What, oh uh yeah," I said, quickly stepping inside.

"Claustrophobia," he asked as the door closed.

"Uh yeah. How, uh how'd you know," I asked in surprise.

"Kai has it. He always get's nervous in elevators," he said as he pressed the first floor button.

"You excited for today," I asked as we started going up.

"Very. We've been practicing so much for this event and BTS Sunbaenim's are here," he said with a chuckle. I was about to reply when the was a sudden bang and the elevator stopped suddenly, forcing me backwards and into Taehyun as I squeezed my eyes shut. There was a screech and it felt like we were falling and there was another bang as it stopped suddenly, knocking the both of us off balance. It all happened so suddenly but arms were wrapped around my waist and I was pulled to the side, landing on a soft surface rather than a hard one. I slowly opened my eyes to see Taehyun with his eyes squeezed closed. I was surprised to see that I was laying on top of him, his arms around my waist as he was between me and the floor.

"You ok," he asked slowly as he opened his eyes and looked up at me.

"Yeah I'm fine, you cushioned my fall. Are you alright though," I asked as I quickly helped him up into a sitting position. He winced slightly and rubbed his shoulder, stretching his neck a bit.

"I'm alright. I just knocked my shoulder but it'll be ok," he said with a nod.

"Thank you," I said, suddenly realising why arms were wrapped around my waist and I was moved, he was protecting me.

"Any time," he said with a small nod before he started looking around.

"I think it's broken," he said as he stood up and walked over to the control panel. That's when I remembered where I was. You see, I'm fine in elevators when it's for short periods of time but right now, it seems like we're going to be in here for lot longer than a short time. My eyes went wide as I looked around the elevator and saw just how small it was. I placed my palms on the side and back walls and pushed against them, trying to calm my breathing but it didn't work. My breathing just kept getting quicker and shallower.

"I've pressed the emergency call button so someone should know we're here but right now we'll just have to wai-. Jisung? SHIT JISUNG," Taehyun rushed over to me and placed his palm on my cheek softly.

"You need to breathe Jisung," he said gently.

"I c-can't. It's too small. T-Tae it's t-too small," I whispered as I struggled to breathe.

"Crap, ok um. Do you trust me? I know we haven't exactly known each other that lo."

"I trust you," I gasped out, pushing myself forwards and into his chest. He froze for a second but then quickly wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my back gently. I squeaked slightly as I was suddenly lifted up but then Taehyun sat down and had me sitting in his lap, wrapped up in my arms.

"I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable. I only know how to help by doing what I usually do with Huening Kai," he said.

"N-No it's ok. I-I'd really like any help I can get right now," I whimpered out as I turned my head to the wall and my hands started shaking. Why did it feel like that wall was getting closer to me.

"Hey, Jisung look at me," he said as he gently grabbed my jaw and turned my head to look at me.

"Just stay looking at me ok," he said gently. I nodded my head as tears slipped down my face and my shoulders started shaking in fear. He lifted his hand up and gently used his fingers to brush away my tears. I know that I have never really talked to Taehyun much and we aren't exactly friends but I'm scared to death right now and if I do make it out alive, I can deal with the embarrassment. I pushed my face closer to his hand and he took the hint, cupping my face and softly running his thumb over my cheek. I closed my eyes and tried to calm my breathing but I kept picturing the tiny room and it was making me get more and more worked up.

"Jisung if you don't calm down and start breathing properly you're going to pass out. Can you try and follow my breathing please," he asked gently as he sat up further and pulled me closer.

"Listen to me and try to follow along," he told me. I shook my head and sobbed as I looked back to the wall and it started to get even harder to breathe. My vision got spots in it I started coughing, making my chest hurt.

"Jisung, Jisung come one you need to breathe. Please, you're scaring me now," Taehyun said and I could tell he was worried but there was nothing I could do about it right now. My breathing stopped all together and I clutched at my throat.

"JISUNG." Uh oh, this in not good. Not good at all.

Taehyun's POV

It wasn't even a choice for me, no alternatim. The minute the elevator start falling, I wrapped my arms around Jisung and moved him so I would cop the brunt of the floor and he would be protected, landing on me. I knocked my shoulder into the floor but it didn't hurt too bad. After making sure the NCT Maknae wasn't hurt, I walked over to the control panel and had a look. It was still working which was a good sign but I mean, we're stuck in an elevator without the door opening so I mean that's not great. I found an emergency call button and pressed it quickly, that should let staff know we're in trouble.

"I've pressed the emergency call button so someone should know we're here but right now we'll just have to wai-. Jisung? SHIT JISUNG." I panicked when I turned around and saw Jisung, his face as pale as a ghost and he was pushing his hands against the walls of the elevator. I completely forgot that he had claustrophobia. I rushed over to him and gently placed my palm on his cheek, kind of forgetting that he wasn't one of my members and probably creeping him out but oh well.

"You need to breathe Jisung," I told him gently as I noticed that it was a little erratic.

"I c-can't. It's too small. T-Tae it's t-too small," he said quietly, his eyes wide with fear. I've helped Kai with panic attacks but that involves quite a lot of skin ship and I have no idea how he will react to that.

"Crap, ok um. Do you trust me? I know we haven't exactly known each other that lo-."

"I trust you," he cut me off. I froze as he suddenly moved forwards and pushed himself against my chest but quickly recovered and wrapped my arms around him, giving his back gently rubs. I lifted him up and sat down quickly, placing him on my lap and keeping my arms around him.

"I'm sorry if this makes you uncomfortable. I only know how to help by doing what I usually do with Huening Kai," I said worriedly.

"N-No it's ok. I-I'd really like any help I can get right now," he said as a whimper escaped his lips and he turned his head to face the wall. I don't know what was running through his mind but given how he started shaking in my arms, it wasn't anything good.

"Hey, Jisung look at me," I said quickly as I grabbed his jaw softly and turned his head to look at me. It's probably best if he doesn't look around so he isn't constantly reminded of how small the elevator is.

"Just stay looking at me ok," I said gently. He nodded his head and I felt bad as he started crying and his shoulders shook. He really is scared. I quickly used my hand to wipe away his tears, a habit I've gotten into whenever one of the other's started crying and I guess it's just muscle memory. I was worried he would be uncomfortable but to my surprise, he actually leaned into the touch. I smiled softly and cupped his face with my hand, rubbing my thumb over his cheek in what I hoped was a soothing motion. His eyes slipped closed and a couple of seconds later his breathing got worse and I got worried.

"Jisung if you don't calm down and start breathing properly you're going to pass out. Can you try and follow my breathing please," I asked quickly, sitting up and pulling him closer to me.

"Listen to me and try to follow along," I added. He shook his head and started sobbing as he looked at the wall again. His breathing was practically non existent and he started coughing. I noticed that his lips had lost some of their colour and his eyes were slightly unfocused, not a good sign.

"Jisung, Jisung come one you need to breathe. Please, you're scaring me now," I said, trying not to panic. He suddenly stopped everything, stopped crying, coughing and scarily, stopped breathing.

"JISUNG," I screamed, grabbing his shoulders quickly. His eyes were wide as he turned his head to me, his face starting to turn red.

"Holy shit, come on Jisung please breathe," I said quickly. How the hell do you help someone who isn't breathing in an elevator? Usually I would try to find a can of oxygen but I don't really have any of those on hand. The only other thing I can think of, is. No I can't do that. I looked at Jisung as he lay down on the floor, his lips were taking on a bluish tint and his eyes were hardly open. You know what, stuff it. I quickly knelt next to him and leaned over his face. I pinched his nose closed and opened his mouth, quickly leaning down and placing my lips on his. I puffed a breath of air in for a second before pausing and then repeating. I continued to do this over and over for a few minutes. I was having trouble keeping it up but seeing his lips gain more colour and his face go not as red meant it was working.

"Come on Jisung I can't keep this up, you need to breathe," I said gently. His eyes slipped half open and they met mine though slightly unfocused.

"Come on Sungie," I whispered. I sighed in relief when his chest started moving again and I leaned my ear down to hear slow breaths escaping his lips.

"Oh my god you scared the shit out of me, come here," I said quickly, I scooped him up in my arms and shuffled back to the wall, resting him sideways in my lap with his head on my shoulder and his hands loosely holding my shirt. His breathing was slow but it was there which made me more relieved. His eyes were barely open but I could tell it was because he was exhausted from what just happened.

"You can rest Sungie, I'll look after you," I told him as I ran my fingers through his hair softly. He nodded slightly and his eyes slipped closed completely his head snuggling down to my chest. My heart was still pounding with what just happened and given that there was nothing else to do, my mind drifted. Could he have died just then? He wasn't breathing and his lips were blue. I shook my head to get rid of the thoughts and lifted my knees up a little to bring Jisung closer.

I ended up having to wait another 20 minutes at least before I heard some noise and the doors to the elevator began to slowly open. I stood up slowly, keeping the sleeping boy in my arms bridle style. The doors opened about 3 quarters of the way and I noticed we seemed to be about a meter below the ground floor which I don't really understand but who cares. A man poked his head through and smiled down at me.

"Hello, who do we have here," he asked gently.

"I'm Kang Taehyun and this is Park Jisung. Please, we need to get him out, he has claustrophobia and panicked. He stopped breathing so I had to give him mouth to mouth for a few minutes. He's breathing now but it's really shallow," I said quickly.

"Alright, lift him up gently," he told me. I nodded and walked closer, slowly and carefully lifting Jisung up. Another man came and together they got Jisung and securely lifted him up and out of the elevator. I bit my lip nervously and started pacing back and forth for a few minutes until the first man came up.

"Are you injured at all," he asked me.

"I knocked my left shoulder on the floor but it doesn't hurt too much, probably just bruised," I told him.

"Alright. Give me your right hand and I'll help you up," he said. I nodded and did as he asked, slowly climbing out of the elevator. The minute I was a few meters away from the elevator I was tackled into a hug.

"Tae," Kai screamed, hugging me tightly. I was embraced by the rest of my members and held back a wince as Beomgyu pressed against my shoulder.

"I'm fine guys," I chuckled as we pulled away.

"I was so worried when they said you were stuck in the elevator. Why didn't you call us," Soobin asked me. Hang on, why didn't I call them? I pat my pockets and found my phone before letting out a groan.

"I was a little busy, I completely forgot," I said sheepishly.

"Busy with what," Yeonjun asked, raising an eyebrow. I turned my head and looked over to Jisung who had an oxygen mask on but was smiling and listening to his many Hyungs.

"He's claustrophobic," I said with a soft sigh.

"Oh, is he ok," Soobin asked.

"He stopped breathing and I had to give him mouth to mouth which scared the shit out of me but he seems fine now," I said, smiling slightly as I watch Taeyong poke the cheeks of their Maknae and Jisung was giggling.

"You can go talk to him you know, they're not gonna bite," Yeonjun said suddenly, making me turn my head to look back at them.

"Can I," I asked quickly. I just wanted to double check and make sure that he was definitely ok.

"Of course, and Tae," I paused as I was going to walk away and looked up at Soobin.

"I'm proud of you kiddo."

Jisung's POV

I woke up as I felt myself being moved and my eyes slipped open as I was lifted up and more arms were wrapped around me. My vision was a little blurry but I could make out two people carrying me.

"Jisung, oh my god. Is he ok." I blinked and turned my head to see Taeyong. Wait, that means I'm out of the elevator.

"Hyung," I choked out as I squirmed out of the guys grips and stumbled over to him, embracing him tightly.

"Hey baby, Hyungs hear. All of your Hyungs actually," he said as he hugged me back.

"Are you doing ok, your breathing sounds a little off," he said in concern as he pulled away a little.

"We were told that he stopped breathing in the elevator so we would like to put him on some oxygen," one of the men said.

"YOU STOPPED BREATHING," Chenle exclaimed as he rushed over.

"Taeil I said to keep everyone back until we know he's ok," Taeyong said with a sigh.

"Yes of course you can," he added quickly as he lifted me up and carried me over to a bench, sitting me down. A couple of seconds later I felt something placed over my mouth and it got easier to breathe, waking me up more.

"How're you feeling kiddo," Mark asked as he and the other's all walked over. It's lucky that we're in a big hall as there's plenty of space for all of my Hyungs to crowd around me.

"I'm ok, sorry about not getting your phone," I said, speaking through the mask.

"It's fine, your health is more important," he said shaking his head.

"Back up a bit guys, we don't want to crowd him," Yuta said and everyone did what he said, except Mark, Taeyong and Chenle.

"You're a disaster you know that. We leave you alone for a few minutes and we need the fire department," Lucas said shaking his head fondly. I blushed in embarrassment as the other's cooed at me.

"Did you really stop breathing," Chenle asked me quietly.

"I'm ok Lele. I just panicked but Tae helped me," I told him. He smiled gently and gave me a hug, making me smile. I heard some noises and I looked over to see Taehyun being hugged by the rest of his members.

"We'll have to thank him then, for looking after our little Jwi," Johnny said, making me chuckle.

"We're glad you're ok though. You gave half of us a heart attack when we found out you were stuck in there, especially with your phobia," Mark said softly.

"It wasn't pleasant at all but I'll live. There's no way I'm going in one of those again any time soon though," I said with a pout.

"Aish, you're so cute," Taeyong said as he poked my cheeks, making me laugh at the ticklish feeling.

"Stop it Hyung," I groaned, swatting his hand away in embarrassment as the other's all chuckled.

"Uh, hey." I blinked and turned my head to see Taehyun standing nervously over by the side. I quickly ripped the mask of and jumped up, running to him and wrapping my arms around his waist. He chuckled and hugged me back, squeezing gently.

"You doing ok," he asked softly.

"Thanks to you, yeah," I nodded.

"That's good," he said quietly. We just stayed there hugging for few seconds before I remembered what actually got me breathing again and I pulled back.

"You gave me mouth to mouth," I said timidly, making him blush.

"I'm sorry, I kind of panicked and you weren't breathing, I didn't know what else to do," he said nervously.

"It's fine, thankyou for doing that," I said and he nodded.

"I uh, I guess we skipped a few hundred steps to getting to know each other," he joked.

"Eh, we're practically twins anyway," I said with a shrug making him chuckle.

"I should probably thank the elevator," he said slowly.

"Why's that," I asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Because it just made me a new friend that I think I'm going to get alone well with," he said with a grin.

"I think maybe we should."
