3rd Person POV

Jeonghan and Seungcheol were the perfect couple. They had a good apartment with all the room they needed for their things. Jobs they loved and that paid well and they never had to worry about money. Their families loved them and were happy that they were living a good life. They had lots of close friends that they would hang out with and spend time with occasionally. For five years they lived happily together. Everything seemed perfect. Until Seungcheol's company was going out of business. That's when everything went downhill.

Seungcheol was able to get another job, a better-paying one than his last. The only thing with his new job is that he had less time with his boyfriend. Seungcheol hated that he wasn't able to spend more time with Jeonghan. He started getting so stressed that one night he went out with his coworkers hoping to let his stress go. He drank until he forgot all about his problems, not knowing that Jeonghan was waiting up for him to return home.

Jeonghan had no idea where Seungcheol was or that he was so stressed. Seungcheol had never talked to him about it. He knew that work had been keeping him busy. It seemed like Seungcheol came home on time once a week anymore. He was always three or four hours late most of the time because work had always kept him longer. Jeonghan was sad they hadn't been able to spend much time together but he understood why. What he didn't understand was why tonight Seungcheol was more than six hours late and hadn't even texted him to let him know it would be this late. He had planned a special night for them. He had made them dinner and rented a couple of movies for after dinner. Seungcheol had the day off tomorrow and Jeonghan wanted to spend time with him from the time he got home until when Jeonghan had to go to work later the next day, but it didn't look like that was happening.

Jeonghan sighed and put the food away, too disappointed to eat any, and went to bed. Not long after Jeonghan went to bed Seungcheol came home drunk and stumbled into their bedroom, kicking off his shoes and climbed into bed next to Jeonghan.

"Seungcheol?" Jeonghan woke up and turned to him. "Where have you been? You never texted and I was waiting for you to come home. I made dinner."

"I'm sorry babe. I went out with the guys at work." Seungcheol mumbled slurring his words slightly and Jeonghan wrinkled his nose at the smell of alcohol on his breath. Jeonghan hates the smell of alcohol and hates it, even more, smelling it on Seungcheol's breath, Seungcheol knew he hated it too.

Seungcheol smiled at Jeonghan too drunk to notice him frowning and hugged him close. "I love you." He kissed him and soon fell asleep with Jeonghan turning in his arms to face away from him and wiping his mouth.

"I love you too." He whispered and fell asleep next to him.

This went on for weeks and only kept getting worse. Seungcheol started getting possessive of Jeonghan despite him not spending much time with him himself. 

Once Seungcheol had the day off and so he and Jeonghan decided to go out with two of their closest friends Vernon and Seungkwan. At one point during the evening, Vernon's hand had accidentally brushed against Jeonghan. Seungcheol got pissed pinning Vernon to a wall ready to punch him for 'trying to take Jeonghan from him' causing Jeonghan to pull him back and yell at him reminding him that Vernon 'wouldn't do that because he is so happy with his boyfriend Seungkwan.'

Both Jeonghan and Seungcheols parents were trying to help and kept talking with Seungcheol trying to get him to stop and to go back to how things were. Seungcheol's mom was trying the most to keep them together. She loved Jeonghan as if he were her own. She loved how such a beautiful person he was, inside and out. She was hoping that soon she would hear news of the two of them getting engaged so she could officially call Jeonghan her son. But it didn't help.

It wasn't until Seungcheol had slapped Jeonghan after seeing him hug his younger coworker Chan when he had gone to pick him up from work. Jeongcheol tried explaining that Chan meant nothing by it and he was just sad to see Jeonghan so sad and stressed, but Seungcheol didn't listen.

Vernon and Seungkwan spent weeks trying to convince Jeonghan to leave him and live with them until Seungcheol had gotten his life straight. Jeonghan didn't want to leave. He was scared that someone would find Seungcheol dead from alcohol poisoning if he left.

When Jeonghan finally gave in and moved in with them he was still heartbroken. For two weeks he cried himself to sleep hearing Seungcheol bang at their door crying and begging Jeonghan to come back. It was torture to Jeonghan. His parents couldn't stand seeing their son so heartbroken. They started to plan to bring Jeonghan back home to Busan, hopefully far enough away from Seungcheol for his heart to start healing. But Jeonghan wouldn't have it. He knew that he would never heal from it unless he was with Seungcheol. He loved him too much to care. He only wanted to be with him. So he left.

When Vernon and Seungkwan were at work Jeonghan left running back to his apartment, back to Seungcheol. When he got there he saw Seungcheol passed out on the couch, the apartment littered with empty beer bottles and fast food trash still laying crumpled on the floor by the trash can. Jeonghan started quietly crying and laid next to Seunghan, clinging to him and burying his face in his chest.

Seungcheol woke up seeing Jeonghan there and hugged him tightly starting to cry himself. He kept mumbling 'I love you' and held Jeonghan close running his hand through his hair.

A year after struggling and talking through it, Jeonghan and Seungcheol are finally starting to get back to how things used to be. Happy. Seungcheol was so thankful to Jeonghan for putting up with him he wanted to show how much he loved him and so took a week off from work to spend time with him, and the first thing he wanted to do?

Propose to the love of his life. He just hoped that Jeonghan would say yes.

A/N - AH IT'S FINALLY DONE!!! Haha. So I had gotten this request a month ago and tried to work on it between celebrating six birthdays (one of which was mine :P ), Christmas, New Years, and also between cleaning and helping my mom with my baby brother. It's done now. Though I'm still not 100% happy with it I want to publish it because I feel bad that it has taken so long to write. @_CrossGeneFlower_ I'm sorry it took so long and that it isn't the best. I hope you like it!
