Forgotten Anniversary {SKZ-HanLix} Pt. 1

Running down the street, his feet splashing under him, his hot breath coming out in little puffs, Felix ignored the cold he felt on his face and just kept running. How could he forget? Of all the things he had to forget, it had to be their anniversary? Jisung acted so normally that morning too. Praying Jisung wouldn't be too mad with him, Felix stopped in a store quickly, running up to the front desk panting. "Order for Felix. Lee Felix" the Aussie panted out breathlessly. "Forgot something important? Whatever it is, I sure hope you can fix it" the woman behind the counter tsked before cashing Felix out quickly and handing him the wrapped box.

Once again running in the rain, box tucked away in his hoodie, Felix began getting tired, but pushed on to his next stop. Running into a local restaurant, Felix once again breathlessly gave the man his name, only to recieve the same look and was once again wished luck in fixing his mistake.

Running the rest of the way home, food in hand and present in hoodie, Felix felt as if he'd collapse by time he got home. Seeing the lights off, Felix knew he had beaten Jisung home, which gave him time to set up. Getting the food on plates, the present in clear view and the bedroom ready, Felix was ready to make this up to Jisung no matter what it took.

As Felix waited for Jisung to get home however, minutes turned to hours and soon Felix began to worry. What if he had really pissed Jisung off and he didn't come home? When Jisung didnt pick up his calls, he tried his friend Chan as well as Changbin. When neither of them answered, he hoped it meant Jisung was still busy with work. Turning to the next person he knew would be there, Felix called up Hyunjin and luckily the man had decided to go check for him.

As Felix waited on the couch for an answer, phone in hand, he quickly fell asleep, the running catching up to him. Hours later, candles burned out, food cold, and Felix still asleep on the couch, Jisung finally returned. "Felix?" Jisung called out to the dark room, but got no reply. Flipping the light on, Jisung immediately saw his sleeping boyfriend on the couch. The next thing to catch his attention was the present, and finally the food and burnt out candles.

Gasping as he finally realized what was happening, Jisung bit his lip, because he too had forgotten what day it was. Shuffling up to the couch, Jisung sat on the coffee table and gently shook his lover awake. The sleepy Aussie opening his eyes slowly, he gently smiled to Jisung. "Hey babe, what time is it?" Felix tried to find his phone to check the time, but it had fallen to the floor. "It's just after midnight. I'm so sorry, I got caught up with the guys" Jisung began to explain, but Felix quickly sat up. "It's over? What about th-" Felix began, but stopped.

Looking over at Jisung as realization began to hit him, Jisung's face revealed it all. "You forgot?" Felix asked in a bit of disbelief and when his question was greeted with silence, he knew the answer. "I'm sor-" Jisung was about to apologize again, but Felix held a hand up to stop him. "I ran all the way home from work...and you forgot. It's funny because I forgot this morning. I went all day thinking I was an asshole" the Aussie man stood up and turned his back to Jisung. "At least I remembered" was the last words Felix mumbled softly before heading to bed, leaving his lover downstairs, alone with his thoughts.
