Chapter 5

Manami's POV

A bunch of mercenaries were now involved in the fight. But, I still could not get over the fact that nobody knew what a high-five was. I had jumped onto a different boat where a few other pirates were fighting. There were absolutely no wizards making the fight painfully easy and boring.

"This would be a good time for your magic." Tatsu joked as he fended off a guy. I swung my legs kicking a few guys knocking them out.

"Bet, get everyone off the boat so they don't get hurt," I said, still annoyed by the fact he thought I was lying.

"It's only me." He said through a grunt as he dodged an enemy's sword. Good.  He was behind me and a bunch of enemies were running at me I sucked in readying myself and brought two fists to my mouth.

"Fire Dragon's Roar!"

A massive blast of fire blew off the back part of the ship. I gasped, the boat was sinking.

"Holy sh-" I grabbed Tatsu and jumped to another boat.

"Sorry, I got carried away," I said laughing awkwardly watching the boat sink in flames.

"You weren't joking..." He muttered more to himself.

"I told you~ Anywho, more fighting less talking!" I said grinning I cover my feet in flames as my teeth got sharper and my eyes more dragon-like.

I turned around beating the crap out of everyone on deck. Someone shot a burning arrow at the ship. The whole top half set on fire, I stood in the flames unaffected. I started consuming them.

Better than the other wizard's...

"M-monster! How are you not burning!"

After a few seconds, all the flames disappeared. I licked my lips.

"Thanks for the meal! I'm feeling energized now~" I chirped running towards whoever was left on the boat.

That was the last of the enemies though. I frowned in disappointment looking for more.

"No powerful ones~ Boring~" I said plopping down. I brought Tatsu to the main boat where the rest of the pirates were.

The sun was rising and the battle was over. We went back to the port and many happy families greeted the missing girls. I smiled, Good for them!

I also saw Hak, Kija, and ShinHa meeting Yoon and Yona again. I watched in the distance.

If Oni-chan were here he would have been happy to see me too...

I shook my head shaking the thought of him and tried to smile for myself. I watched from the edge of the dock.

Everyone looks so happy!

"What you doing over here alone, kid?" I looked up at JaeHa. I shrugged in response.

"It's nice to see everyone so happy with their friends and stuff," I said smiling again as I looked at everyone interacting.

"You did well." JaeHa complimented patting my head.

"You too JaeHa. You were cool jumping from boat to boat or whatever." I muttered, he laughed at my comment.

"Let's join the others and celebrate." He said grabbing my wrist and pulling me. I smiled and walked over to the crowd.

"There you are Manami! Where were you?" Yoon yelled looking suspiciously at JaeHa. I smiled.

"Nowhere,"

"Thank you for taking care of the Princess." Kija thanked me.

"No problem! She's very strong, you know." I said with a grin.

"Wait a second." I processed what he said.

"PRINCESS!? Yona's a PRINCESS!?" I said shocked.

"Ah, well technically not anymore..." Yona explained embarrassedly.

"Sis, you've got to tell me about this. I'm sensing some sizzling tea that needs to be spilled!"

The group gave me a puzzled look.

"Jesus!" I facepalmed.

"I'm not going to even bother trying to explain,"

--

"I ended up not giving a proper farewell to JaeHa like I wanted to," Yona said with a frown.

"JaeHa? Isn't he one of us now?" Kija asked confused.

"Huh?" Yoon and Yona looked at him confused.

"Yeah? He's been following us since we left." I said pointing to the tree. ShinHa took out his sword and sliced down the tree causing JaeHa to fall.

"Hi~" He said with a smile. I giggled.

"Why are you..." Yona didn't finish her sentence.

"Well, I thought, since I have some free time. It wouldn't be such a bad idea to go on a trip with you, kid." He said scratching the back of his head.

"Why didn't you say hello?" I asked confused.

"I saw you in tears looking for me.  It was so arousing that I lost the timing to say hello." He said turning to Yona. I choked.

"Perverted as usual," Hak said with a straight face.

"I see a similarity between you and him," Yoon said putting his hands on his hips.

I smiled trying not to laugh.

"But you kept saying you hate to be tied down by the Four Dragons' rules," Yona said confused.

Oh, yeah I forgot about that...

"It has nothing to do with the Four Dragons. I always have, and I always will, pick the path I'll walk on my own. Nothing if going against my aesthetic. For now, I just can't leave you alone." JaeHa said reaching out his hand. Yona took his hand.

"Take me with you, Yona."

Hak quickly hit him in the head with his blade.

"Quit being so self-absorbed."

"That's right, this isn't just a trip with Yona and you. You need to introduce yourself to us, too!" Yoon said annoyed, ShinaHa nodded his head in agreement.

"That's right. We place much value on etiquette, Green Dragon." Kija said.

"I honestly could give a shit," I said bored. They all looked at me.

"What everyone said their opinion except me! I just wanted to be included."

"Well, let me re-introduce myself," JaeHa said dusting his clothes off and standing up.

"I am JaeHa, the beautiful monster with the Green Dragon's power in my right leg. Nice to work with you."

That was overdramatic...

"Alrighty! Let's goo!" I cheered.

--

"Are we there yet~" I whined. I was getting sick of walking.

"I explained this to you already! We'll never know if 'We are there yet'." Yoon yelled exasperated.

"Ughhhh." I groaned.

"I'm so bored. I thought we'd get to fight people and have fuuuuuun~"

"We'd rather stay out of fighting. We're trying to keep a low profile." Yoon scolded me. I crossed my arms with a pout.

"I know we should've left her in the town..." Hak muttered. I shot him a glare about to yell, but I bit my tongue.

If I cause too much trouble they might really leave me behind.

The group continued to walk as Yona lagged behind looking at the sky.

"The sun's setting soon. I think we should stop for today." Yona said.

"I agree. Hak and Jaeha you guys should find us some food. Kija and Manami you two can find wood for a fire while Yona and I stay and set up." Yoon intrusted. I nodded my head eagerly.

FINALLY! SOMETHING TO DO! Even if it was only collecting wood.

Kija and I walked out into the trees collecting branches as we spotted them.

"So do you have dragon warriors where you come from?" Kija asked me. I thought about it for a second.

"We aren't really called dragon "warriors". In Fiore, we have mages called dragon slayers. People powerful enough to kill a dragon who possesses the power of dragons. So I guess if that counts... Then yes, we have dragon warriors." I explained. I smiled to myself.

Dragon warriors sound cooler that dragon slayers.

"Kill dragons? Like real dragons?" Kija gaped at me. I nodded my head.

"But 7 years ago all the dragons disappeared. No one knows where they went. Which is why I'm searching for Igneel! He's a dragon. A big fire dragon!!" I exclaimed throwing my hands around to show how big he was.

"To KILL IGNEEL! A DRAGON!" Kija's eyes widened in shock.

"NO! No! No!" I made an 'X' with my arms. Kija tilted his head in confusion.

"I'm a dragon slayer so-"

"YOU CAN KILL A DRAGON!?!?!?" Kija cut me off in shock.

"Technically speaking, we're supposed to be able to possess that much power. The only reason we have that much power is because we were raised by dragons. So Igneel raised me and taught me his Fire Magic. Which makes me a Fire Dragon Slayer. Though someone I know gained his Lighting Dragon Slayer magic from a stone. But I'm not sure how that works." I admitted.

Kija looked at me wide-eyed. I scratched the back of my neck embarrassed.

"My magic knowledge isn't very large... Sorry..." I confessed.

"Anywho... I've been searching for Igneel with my brother! I'm convinced that ALL the dragons disappeared into a different dimension! If I'm here in Kouka, A DIFFERENT DIMENSION, then why couldn't the dragons do the same!? You guys can sense dragons and stuff. Who knows maybe I'll finally find him!" I beamed up at Kija with a big smile.

Kija hadn't moved at all. He seemed frozen and shocked. I tilted my head curiously and waved my hands in front of his face.

"K-Kija..? You good?" I asked.

"MAGIC! DIMENSIONS! MAGES! REAL DRAGONS!" Kija shouted.

"Fiore sound's like something out of a fairy tale!!" Kija exclaimed shocked. I grinned.

Fairy Tail...

"How does all of that stuff work!? I mean magic, mages, dimensions, and dragons! Not just dragon warriors like me who only possess small parts of dragon abilities. But REAL dragons!?" Kija bombarded me with questions.

My head began to spin.

"Ummm... Let's talk about this with everyone else later. I'm sure everyone's curious about Fiore as much as I am about Kouka." I suggested as I bent over to pick up a nearby stick.

Kija nodded eagerly snatching the stick I was about to pick up. He rushed around picking up many sticks quickly. I sweat-dropped.

Only minutes later we had enough sticks for a fire thanks to Kija's enthusiasm.

I waved at Yona and Yoon as the small camp came back into view. Kija rushed over and placed all the wood in a pile in the middle of the clearing.

Hak was still at the camp. I grinned and shot a look at him.

"Wooow... You didn't even help JaeHa gather food. Lazybones!" I stuck my tongue out at him. His arms were crossed and his face twitched in annoyance.

"That Green snake jumped into the sky out of nowhere leaving me behind." He defended himself.

"Excuses, excuses!" I teased with a grin. Without warning, Jaeha jumped down with a deer.

"Wow! It's fawn. Nice catch!" Yoon complimented. I scrunched my eyebrows in confusion.

What's the difference between a fawn and a deer?

"It was difficult trying to jump while carrying it," JaeHa said proudly. I grinned thinking about dinner. My mouth watered.

Meat! Meat! Meat!

"He suddenly jumped off into the eastern sky. So I thought he had finally been summoned to the heavens." Hak said with a frown as he crossed his arms. I giggled.

"JaeHa's legs are really amazing!" Yona complimented him. I thought about the fact that with my magic I could jump just as high, but decided it was better left unsaid.

Kouka must really have no magic... Other than these "dragon warriors"

"Well, I made full use of this power when I was a boy to fly all around Kouka," JaeHa said smiling to himself.

"By the way, you ran away from the village of Ryokuryuu right? Why?" Kija asked curiously.

Hmmm... So each dragon warrior comes from a different village. Interesting.

"Why? Would you consider it acceptable if both of your hands and get were bound by chains?"

"CHAINS!?" Kija and I both stuttered out in surprise.

"As an innocent, young, beautiful boy-" JaeHa started his sad story. After that, I stopped listening as I rolled my eyes.

"Hold on, don't overlap the pretty boy character, okay?" Yoon said giving JaeHa an annoyed glance.

Kija held his face in horror thinking about JaeHa's past.

"Don't belive him so easy. There's probably some wild delusions involved. " Hak said to Kija with a blank stare.

"Well, that's usually the fate of the Green Dragon as soon as they're born," JaeHa said bluntly. I frowned.

"Well, it's that isn't it? It would be hard for the Green Dragon to stop themselves from jumping around and causing trouble." Hak concluded.

If I was born here that would probably be me. I gulped remembering how the Old Man would scold Natsu and I for destroying so much Fiore property. I remembered the boat and Lucy.

Damn, Natsu must've gotten yelled at for that.

"Since you're so quick, we'll be able to track down and find the Yellow Dragon no matter where they are. Maybe even help with... Manami what was the name of the dragon you wanted to find?" Yona turned to me curiously.

"Igneel," I answered.

"Now that you mention it, the only dragon warrior left is the Yellow Dragon," JaeHa said. I scrunched my eyebrows.

"Only four? Are there really no other people with abilities like your own?" I asked puzzled. I couldn't wrap my head around it.

"Yes. Only four with the abilities of dragons." Yona answered. I frowned.

"So little," I muttered to myself. The group gave me a confused look.

"PRINCESS!! THERE'S MAGIC WHERE MANAMI COMES FROM!" Kija burst out suddenly waving his arms around. The group looked at each other before staring back at Kija and bursting into laughter.

"White Snake you really believe everything you hear. You're so gullible!" Hak laughed pointing and finger and holding his stomach.

Kija pouted looking at me for help.

"He's not lying." I back him up. This only caused Hak to laugh harder.

"What you have people flying around towns?" Hak teased. I crossed my arms.

"No! Mages don't tend to waste their magic like that. Plus there are rules about doing stuff like that. Not that anyone in Fairy Tail follows them..." I sweat-dropped thinking about the amount of trouble Fairy Tail had gotten into with the... umm... law.

"Anyway! Yes, where I come from abilities like yours aren't uncommon." I explained. I received confused glances from the group.

"I think I'm from a different dimension."

Hak began to laugh at me again. I shot him a glare.

"I'm serious! Do you know how I got here? JaeHa how did I get here?" I looked at him with a "back me up bro"-look.

"Now that I think of it, you were falling out of the sky," JaeHa said with his hand on his hip.

"You fell out of the sky?! And neither of you thought this was interesting enough to mention?!" Yoon exclaimed.

"You're missing the point! I'm in Fiore here something in an alleyway and go to check it out. It's some random person who then pushes me and next thing I know. I'm falling OUT OF THE FREAKIN SKY!?!?! I thought it was teleportation magic, but then I ended up here in Kouka. Currency is different here (I proceeded to pull out my useless Jewels), nobodies heard of Fiore or Fairy Tail, y'all have an unrecognizable map, no magic, and most importantly NO ONE KNOWS WHAT A HI-FIVE IS!!!" I ranted.

I took a deep breath.

"Therefore I can think of no other explanation. Different dimension. Boom!" I finish dramatically. At this point, even Hak stopped laughing.

"I guess there is really no way to explain why you're here." Yona pondered. I nodded my head exasperated.

"I just hope that I can get back," I muttered more to myself than to the rest of the group.

Onii-chan...

My stomach grumbled. I looked at the group who was staring at me.

"Let's talk about this confusing stuff later I'm starving!" I exclaimed with a grin. The group nodded.

"I'll start making dinner. Thunder Beast, start the fire." Yoon instructed. Yona and Yoon went to a different part of the clearing to prepare the fawn.

"So Miss Magic, tell us about Fiore then. How did magic start? How does it work?" Hak questioned. He obviously didn't believe me.

"Honestly my magic knowledge is pretty small, but I can tell you about the different kinds of Magic, Fiore, and guilds," I said plopping down next to Hak as he started the fire.

"Yes! What's this Fairy Tail you keep talking about?" Kija asked curiously.

"I pointed to the mark on my arm. This is my guild mark. The name of my guild is Fairy Tail. The origin of the name is stupid, so don't ask. We're the most famous guild in Fairy Tail. I have quite the reputation myself in Fiore. Not that it matters here." I explained with a sigh starting to miss my guild members.

"Anywho, guilds are basically organizations of wizards. They assign and complete assignments from either the Magic Council or personal requests for Jewels. So for example, assignments as small as a missing dog can be submitted to a guild. The guild then assigns that task to specific members of the guild to complete. But not all tasks are assigned, at least in Fairy Tail.

Most of Fairy Tail's assignments are chosen by the members themselves. We have a board of posters with different tasks. There are also extra difficult missions called "S-rank missions". These are for the advanced mages in our guild. So that's how mages get paid. They go and join a guild." I explained slowly. Kija nodded and Hak eyed me intrigued.

"As for how common magic is, 20% of people have some sort of magic. Not all become mages, though. You can have magic and just live normally. There are lots of different kinds of magic but two main categories. Caster Magic and Holder Magic. Caster means magic is expelled from the mage's body, while Holder means that magic comes from a different source. " I explained briefly.

"Hm. You're good at writing stories." Hak said with a grin. I pouted, unable to tell if he was teasing me or still unwilling to believe my words.

"Who's the Magic Council?" JaeHa asked me.

"You guys have Kings and Queens right?" I asked. They nodded.

"The Magic Council are our rulers. Just like kings and queens, they make the rules. I think there's like 12 of them or something. I don't know, I don't pay attention to the rules to much." I said with a grin.

"So what kind of magic do you have then Miss Magic?" Hak said using the same nickname that I found quite belittling.

"Well, I fall under the Caster Magic category. I have Fire Dragon Slayer Magic. It's called Dragon Slayer because this Magic was originally used to be powerful enough slay dragons." I explained.

"That must be why you're looking for that Igneel, huh? You're trying to kill some dragons, Miss Magic?" Hak said with a grin.

"No. Very much no. Dragon Slayer Magic is also called a Lost Magic. It's very, very, very rare. I only know two other dragon slayers. My brother and another member of Fairy Tail. My brother and I were raised by a dragon and trained by a dragon. Dragon Slayer Magic is supposed to mimic the power of a dragon so it's the same magic the Igneel uses. Igneel is the dragon that raised both of us." I explained.

"This sounds weird in Fiore and I can only assume how strange it'll sound to you. For me, Igneel is my father. So I have o find him." I said embarrassed.

"How does a dragon give birth to a human?" Kija asked. I laughed.

"No silly! Adoptive father, I guess. Found me in a river, saved my life." I smiled softly thinking of Natsu.

"Interesting. That sounds like a Fairy Tail." Hak burst out into laughter. I shot him a glare. I looked at the trees in front of us.

"Yoon is there any villages or paths in 4 kilometers of this area to the west?" I yelled.

"No! Why!?" Yoon yelled back.

You'll see in a second.

I stood up with a grin.

"I think you've underestimated me one too many times. Watch carefully, Thunder Beast." I grinned at him mischievously.

I'm hungry, but I still have enough magic to blow this idiot's mind.

I took a death breath prepping my fists at my mouth.

"Fire Dragon Roar!"

A large blast of flames ripped through hundreds of trees. I held my hand like a finger gun and blew out a small flame on my fingers.

"Bull's eye!" I cheered with a grin. The group gapped at me.

"Never underestimate a Fairy Tail wizard!" I said with a grin before turning the unsuccessful fire. I touched it and immediately lit the small branches Kija and I had collected on fire.

Yoon, Yona, and a blonde guy walked over to the fire with the fawn's meat on skewers before turning to see the destruction. Yoon's wood tray fell from his hands but was caught by the blond guy who was drooling.

"Thank god!! I'm starving!" I smiled at Yoon ignoring the burning trees.

"WHAT WAS THAT!?!" the group yelled.

"Don't worry about the fire spreading, Fire Magic doesn't burn what you don't want it too. At least that's the saying, hope they were telling the truth." I said with a shrug motioning for the blonde guy to start cooking the meat. He seemed unphased by the tress and quickly obliged and started putting the meat over the fire.

"Come on y'all. Fire Dragon Slayer Magic makes me really hungry."

Wow! I didn't expect to receive so much love for this story. This one was mostly just an idea at the back of my head that I thought would be fun, because of the dragon slayer thing. I'm glad yall are enjoying it.

If you're an old follower you know that I deleted all my stories. This is actually the story idea that brought me back to writing. I ended up posting  "A Devil's Kiss | Boku No Hero Academia |"  first. So it explains the reasons for the deletion of my stories. So if you're curious it's explained in the first section titled "Quick Explanation" (Yes this is a shameless plug. I love working on that story so be sure to check it out if you like MHA)

I'm sorry but updates for this fanfic is going to be a little slow. I'm a little behind. I like to have long chapters so they usually take hours for me to write. Online school has been kicking my butt. But I'm working on it!

I'm open to all feedback and love to hear from everyone and anyone.
