Me: I was supposed to make the Legacy react super special because of sticky notes with my friends. But guess what, covid happened and we can't read over the notes. I've been hoping that thing would get better, but nope

Dex: So what happens?

Me: I'm just gonna talk about the general feelings that I remember from the book. If we ever get the unsticking done I'll make a separate react.

Sophie: That makes sense.

Me: I'm prolly also gonna look at the wiki for a summary

Dex: Have you read Unlocked yet?

Me: NOPE! I mean, I want to. I just don't have a copy, and my library doesn't even own a copy. Literally 2 of my friends have it, but I can't even borrow from them because of freakin' covid.

Fitz: Are you ever gonna tell us about what that whole thing is?

Me: Prolly. Not anytime soon.

Marella: I can imagine that looking at the wiki will give you spoilers.

Me: I've already been spoiled, unfortunately. Untagged spoilers on tumblr. UGH.

Keefe: Oooof.

Me: I mean its only 1 thing, and this is still dangerous but whatever. Anyways let's start. *pulls up phone to look at wiki*

Me: Oh yeah, the whole matchmaking thing. I can't tell if it's just that I'm too aro for this garbage, but I don't see why yall are fixated on matchmaking lists? Especially when you're FREAKING 15. LIKE. WHAT. PLEASE. *breathes* Date all ya want, but like holy crap don't get fixated on marriage???

Sophie: I mean, I get what you're saying, but everything's just... overwhelming. I just want to fit in.

Me: I mean yeah, but yall are immortal. You have your whole lives to wait for this kind of thing. Like... I would have thought that matchmaking would start as an adult.

Biana: I... never realized that. Age doesn't matter for us, but you're kinda right.

Me: Tbh I originally thought it was 16, but like. I didn't even think much about it until like last week when Rex Mixi and I were texting each other. And now I will never forget that and tbh I'm just mad and/or annoyed for that. I MEAN. WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE ARE ARO ELVES?

Linh: I understand, but maybe calm down with the screaming?

Marella: Ravi, I know you hated Fitz at first, so what exactly was your initial impression reading this?

Me: Thought Fitz was rude. Then realized some of his pov. Like, he is not innocent, but as Sophie said, neither is she. But I also think that you don't always have to know where your friend/partner is at all times? Idk that's been a thought I had a lot. Idek if that was even happening in Legacy or if I imagined it anymore. But trust me, those sticky notes from my friends nd I are not friendly. I'm just glad I'm growing up.

Marella: Anyways I don't understand why Gisela would say "kill Keefe" and then actually need him.

Biana: Pretty sure it was a way of manipulating him?

Me: Look idk I forget stuff.

Dex: Oh man Tam, can only imagine what you went through with the Neverseen.

Tam: Awful. But Glimmer made it a bit more bearable.

Me: Eh. I'm glad you had someone. But I'm worried that Shannon just used this as an opportunity to make Tam straight (yes obv bi people can be in m/f relationships, but like... sometimes you just know when a character is there for the sake of being a love interest... and Glimmer gives those vibes rn, I'm scared)

Sophie: How old is she?

Me: Idk. Another thing that I question.

Keefe: Path of nightmares seems traumatizing. Ouch Foster. Also King Enki does seem more suspicious in hindsight.

Me: Didn't see it coming, but wasn't surprised either.

Linh: It's terrifying to think about those who have actually died. I would never understand how elves could be so cruel, not feel the guilt.

Me: Okay but I love Kam. A lot. Honestly, kotlc has so many opportunities to introduce some queer content, and its missed out so much, and the fact that it was unintentional too that all these moments are here. I just wanna be represented!

Me: Shh... I can't tell if thats a "well, you're in for a treat" kind of well, or "well... uh..." kind of well. Don't answer which one it is.

Dex: Anyways, Wonderboy gets his act together and apologizes.

Me: Yeah, that was nice. I mean I feel like the tension is still there, but could be worse. And back to Oralie!

Marella: The book is about to end though? Ah, cliffhanger.

Tam: They're all cliffhangers.

Me: Starting from book 3 I think? Or book 4. Definitely continued on from book 4.

Sophie: Ravi, we can't wait for you to read Unlocked!

Me: Me too! Also this feels vaguely threatening. I'm too tired to gather more thoughts, so I'm just gonna leave it off like this. The Unlocked react won't take too long to come out, as it's nothing special also it'll be better because live! (Ooh, tumblr live blogging will be helpful for this!). Just gotta hope my library listens to ny recommendation. Anyways, good night!

Again, sorry for the wait. And in this case, I can't even say that the wait was for something extra good. In fact, this react was prolly kinda meh. Then again, I actually wrote most of this in one evening. Which makes you wonder why I didn't do this before...

I just wanna bring up the sticky notes real quick. Just to give you a visual. Four of us have read Legacy and put sticky notes, but one of us rarely put it. Mixi and Rex put so many, Rex went through packs. Because we went on rants, made meme references, redrew memes (those were fun), and the occasional actual drawing.

We went through so many packs, and uh... just imagine how packed Legacy looked. I'm 99% sure it's unable to close, and well, its been nearly a year since its been like that. Rip legacy.
