@Mnm4ever8 (I don't know why it's not tagging you properly) requested a KeefexFitz oneshot — like a super long time ago — and I finally got around to writing it! Sorry it took me so long, I hope you enjoy it! I know it's not that great but I've been having some writer's block recently so I tried my best. Let me know if you have any more requests!

Fitz sat on his bed, head in his hands. He was hung up on his crush, and he couldn't move forward.

The door swing open, and a small blond figure stood in the doorway. His head shot up, but it wasn't the blond figure he was hoping to see.

Sophie sat down next to him, a glint of concern in her eyes. "What's wrong?"

Fitz mumbled an incoherent response.

Sophie sighed. "Keefe wouldn't talk to me either."

Fitz perked up. "You talked to Keefe?"

Sophie rolled her eyes. "Yeah. He was sulky, too."

"I'm not sulky," Fitz said defensively.

"Yes, you are." She got up to leave. "Oh, by the way, Keefe's here. He wants to talk to you."

"Tell him to come to my room."

She nodded, disappearing into the hallway. A few moments later Keefe came in and sat next to Fitz. They sat in silence until finally he said, "Look, I know you're still mad at me for joining the Neverseen—"

Fitz scoffed coldly.

Keefe looked down at his hands. "I'm sorry, okay?"

"Oh, you're sorry?" Fitz didn't know why he was being so harsh. Maybe it was because he choked up, got so nervous that he couldn't talk any other way. It used to be so easy, back when they were younger. It was uncomplicated, with no feelings getting in the way of their friendship. It was less confusing.

"Of course I am! I didn't want to hurt you!" Keefe snapped. He fell back into silence.

"I just— I need to be alone. Sorry."

Keefe left. Fitz flopped back on his bed, his head in his hands. Would it ever get easier?
