The girls had Sophie, who had literally 5 abilities, but we had the Techno Boys.

Leo and Dex were just muttering incoherently to each other, which sounded like "3xCarryThe2NoMillimetersNotCentimeters5+157NoThatCan'tGoThere"

Literally, Keefe's a Polyglot and he couldn't understand them.

Glad the rest of us don't speak Nerd.

"Tada!" 

"Umm... what is that?"

That was a super complicated thingamajiggy.

"That disables all nearby abilities, thus allowing the boys to capture the girls' flag with ease." Dex says proudly.

"Okayy....I'm just going to say it, doesn't that mean it disables our abilities as well?" Keefe asks.

Dex's face became crestfallen. "I guess so..." He mumbled.

I had to keep the peace. "We can still use it."

Leo pipes up. "Nah, we can make a couple of adjustments."

But it was too late.

It was time to battle.

--Jason--

We didn't really come up with a plan, so we're just winging.

I shift the winds so I can rise above the trees.

Keefe levitates up with me.

In the distance, I can see a giant glowing sphere.

Keefe sees it as well. "There," He points.

I nod. "I'll bet that's where the flag is."

He cracks a smile. "Well, you know what they say, when in doubt while you're playing Capture the Flag, look for a glowing orb."

--Percy--

Almost immediately after the game starts, the girl with silver bangs, Linh?, finds me and we battle with our water powers.

She has great control for a 16 year old. I'm 18, and I still struggle.

Linh creates a water sphere and throws it.

It wasn't aiming for me.

The water-sphere hurls it's way at Leo, snuffing out his flames and drenching him.

"C-C-Come on, m-man!" Leo complains, shivering.

--Annabeth--

It's all going according to plan.

I charge at Dex, my weapon poised to strike.

He's defenseless, his tech powers useless.

I take his gizmo out of his hands and push a button.

It emits a loud screeching sound, and I feel average.

Percy and Linh are waving their hands around aimlessly but it's not working.

Jason falls out of the sky. "Ow," I wince.

Keefe levitates back down gently.

"How come you still have your abilities?" I ask him.

"Telekinesis is a skill, not an ability." Keefe corrects.

Well, duh. My brainpower was cut in half, so I'm not thinking staight.

I look at the gizmo and crush it beneath my feet.

"NOOOOO!" Dex drops to his knees. "My baby!" He cradles the remaining pieces.

The fight resumes.

Marella is kicking Leo's butt and Linh is matching Percy in water control.

Annabeth, Sophie transmits. Annabeth, we've got their flag.

I shout to the boys and the few girls. "Girls rule, boys drool!"

The girls pump their fists while the boys groan.

"Rematch!" Percy shouts.

I smirk. "You wish,"
