Violet slowly opens her eyes, it was dark so their was no need to shield her eyes from anything. She sat up and looked around, she was at Aang's statue.

"...Lin" Violet puts her hand over her eyes "no what have I done.. what's happened since I went under"

"Violet"

"..." Violet turns to see a that strange mist again the in shape of Kira staring right at her "are you speaking to me?"

"Who else would I speak to?" Kira questions

"Ahh" Violet freaks out "I thought only Korra could come in contact with her past lives"

"Of course not you can too" Kira says "Avatar's have it easy, they get to concentrate and meditate to get visions of the past, us Switches have to travel to the place, and I got seasick a lot"

"Wait so how come I can see you?" Violet asks

"Cause this my dear" Kira replies standing up "Is where I died"

"Where you what?" Violet questions shocked

"I died here, right under this statue, no one ever found my body" Kira tells her

"You didn't die of old age? I thought-"

"Of course that's what they told you" Kira says "but I was murdered, 68 years old"

"Then why did you take so long to find your reincarnation, I was born after Korra and-"

"Not important right now" Kira cuts her off "The city is in danger, you're lucky I was able to protect you from drowning"

"You know what's going on right now?" Violet asks

"ok wow you really don't know how this stuff works" Kira sighs "From what I've gathered watching over you, the equalists have taken over but your friends are taking care of it, I worry about your sister the Avatar, she's going to face Amon head on"

"I guess recklessness is in our blood" Violet says

"You've also inherited my tastes for hot headed fire benders" Kira adds

"you're what?" Violet blushes

"I'm not stupid, you like that firebending Mako" Kira points her finger at her "it's ok though your secret is safe with him, since you've decided to give up and let Korra have him" she sighs "you're no fun"

"Firelady Kira focus" Violet claps her hands "How do I stop Amon and help Korra?"

"Right, so remember that vision I showed you about Yakone, well he had two sons" Kira explains "Tarrlok, and that guy called Amon, his real name is Noatak"

"That's a name used in the Water Tribes" Violet says

"mhm" Kira nods

"So he's a waterbender and a bloodbender like his brother" Violet gasps "he's using bloodbending to block the chi points in benders, that's why they can't bend!"

"Right" Kira places her hand on Violet's shoulder "you must go before it's too late"

"I know" Violet stood up and started running away

"Violet" Kira calls out

Violet turns and looks at her "Yes"

"Please don't forget to tell my husband where I am" Kira smiles

"I won't forget" Violet promises before running off

Violet runs up to the bending arena where people are all crowded outside. Above the window shatters and someone falls out, it was Amon. As Amon falls, his mask comes off, and he plunges into the sea. Concerned citizens dash to see what happened.

"Did you see what happened?

The crowd sees Amon's mask float to the surface. Korra and Mako walk up to the shattered window as cries of the protesters grow.

"You bending tyrant!"

"Evil Avatar!"

"She's ok" Violet says to herself standing behind the crowd and smiles "That's my big sis"

Desperate to save himself, Noatak waterbends a spout to get to the surface. As he gasps for air, riding his water spout high above the crowd, he turns to see the people looking at him in shock.

"He's waterbending"

"He is a bender."

"Whoa!"

"The scar is fake."

"The Avatar was telling the truth."

Noatak looks angrily at Korra, which she reciprocates, before jumping into the water again. As Noatak escapes, Mako tries to stop him by firebending, but he misses every shot. After Noatak escapes, Korra and Mako hug each other.

"Violet!" Korra runs and hugs her

"Hey sis" Violet smiles "Long time no see"

"We thought you.." Tenzin trails off

"I'm perfectly alive" Violet tells him "are you all ok?"

"Yes" Tenzin "In the end we were captured, I was terrified that your sacrifice was in vain"

"I wanted to buy time for Korra to hide and wanted to make sure you got away, even if they got you in the end" Violet explained "When it came to it, I had the realization that it wasn't my place to save the world, it's to protect it"

"Thanks to you we were able to escape and formed a plan" Korra says "you're the best little sis.. but don't you ever almost die again!"

"Yes yes" Violet sweatdrops "I'm sorry"

"Well this little guy wouldn't stop worrying about you" Mako points to his shoulder where Echo was squeaking repeatedly trying to get her attention

"Echo" Violet holds out her arms and he jumps into her arms, she spins around happily "I missed you so much"

"You should be proud of the little guy" Mako tells her "he saved me from Amon once"

"Aw you're such a good dragon" Violet kisses his forehead

Echo suddenly grew from the mini size of her palm to the size of a miniture dog.

"Oh my goodness" Violet looked shocked

"Well he's certainly not fitting on your shoulder anymore" Mako jokes

"I can't believe Amon got you too" Lin says to Korra

"Hey, at least you unlocked your airbending!" Bolin adds brightly

Everyone turns and glares at him sourly. Pabu chitters.

"Bro, not the time" Mako tells him

Bolin looks sheepish and guilty "Right, right, I'll just stand over here" he backs away "quietly," he puts hands over mouth and whispers "in silence"

Violet shakes her head at him.

At the Southern Water Tribe, at the White Lotus compound. Pema is changing Rohan under the watchful eye of Ikki and Jinora, while Meelo is sleeping on Tenzin's lap. While Bolin, Mako, and Asami sit on the opposite couch, all with dejected expressions on their faces. Senna, Violet and Korra's mother, has her eyes closed while resting sadly against Tonraq's shoulder, holding Violet's hand who sat on the other side of her. Tonraq, who has his arm around his wife, and Lin, who is sitting beside him, both stare sadly toward the ground in front of them.

Upon hearing the sound of a door sliding open, the three adults quickly raise their heads and turn to the door, where a sad-faced Katara was opening the door. Korra is sitting in the room behind her, though is blocked from view when the elderly healer shuts the door behind her. As she ventures further into the waiting area, all people present stand up and look expectantly at her.

"I've tried everything in my power, but..." Katara turns her eyes to the ground "I cannot restore Korra's bending" Tenzin looks disappointed.

"But you're the best healer in the world, you have to keep trying!" Lin persists

"I'm sorry, there's nothing else I can do. Korra can still airbend, but her connection to the other elements has been severed" Katara tells them

Lin looks disappointed. Korra exits the healing room, sadly looking at the ground. She stops and eyes everyone upon noticing all the people in the room staring back at her.

"It's going to be all right Korra" Tenzin tries to comfort her

"No, it's not" Korra looks angry and disappointed as she leaves the house.

Mako wants to talk to Korra, but he hesitates at first. He becomes determined and walks out of the house and follows Korra.

"This can't be true" Violet says "Korra is the avatar, Amon used bloodbending to take her bending away can't it be used to restore it?"

"I'm afraid it doesn't work that way and without a fullmoon even I cannot try it" Katara tells her "bloodbending is a dangerous ability that I haven't done since I was very very young"

"Perhaps the only thing we can do now is train Violet as the Avatar" Tenzin suggests

"No" Violet shakes her head "Their can only be one Avatar, and that's Korra"

Violet rushes out of the house to see Korra riding away from Mako on Naga. Tenzin follows behind her.

"We need to be patient with her. It will take time for her to accept what has happened" Tenzin tells both Mako and Violet

"I'm not letting this be her fate" Violet declares before running off after Korra

Korra arrives with Naga on a cliff above the sea. A tear rolls down her face and the glistening tear falls into the ice below. Korra sits on the ground and begins crying. Violet finally catches up to her and stands behind her gasping for breathe.

"Not now Violet, I just want to be left alone" Korra tells her

"What kind of sister would I be if I left you alone to cry?" Violet walks over and sits beside her "You never let me cry on my own, you know ou have finally connected with your spiritual self"

"How?" Korra asks her confused

"When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change" Violet replies "Back in Republic City I was trying to find how I could be of use to the city or the world even, when it came to the point where I believed there was nothing I could do it was when I decided I wouldn't do things simply for the world but for myself and for you, that's why i decided to go after Tenzin and to buy you time then simply going to hide as well. It's my job to look after you, not to save the world"

"But I'm not the Avatar anymore" Korra says sadly "I can't bend the other elements, you'll have to-"

Violet put her thumb on Korra's forehead, her eyes glowed and restores her bending.

"Only my big sister, has the heart of the Avatar" Violet tells her

Korra opens her eyes, showing her entering the Avatar State. She raises herself into the air with airbending and sends a blast of air, fire, and earth. She bends the sea at the bottom of the cliff to make a large wave. Korra exits the Avatar State and looks at her little sister.

Korra's eyes fill with tears as she tackles Violet into a hug "thank you"

In the village Violet uses the same technique on Lin to restore her bending. Violet's eyes glow and light emanates from her thumb. When Violet has finished, Lin climbs to her feet and simultaneously lifts several large rocks into the air at once. Everyone watches with awed expressions on their faces, Bolin's eyes almost popping out of his head.

"Thank you" Lin says to her

"No thank you" Violet smiles to her "For helping back at the airship"

"I am so proud of you girls" Tenzin puts his hands each of the sister's shoulder

Violet and Korra look at each other and smile.
