(Y/n) Luthor sat in front of his mothers desk, not paying attention as she chewed him out for taking her plane without asking. He picked up a pen from her desk and flipped it over and over. "Are you done yet?"

Lena glared at her son. "Since you aren't listening I suppose so" she spoke as she snatched back her pen. "Did you get what you wanted out of this trip?"

"Yes. Texas is a nicer place than I expected" (y/n) replied as he stood up. "It was relaxing other than the fact that you had an agent reporting everything I did to you"

Lena nodded. "For what it's worth you reacted well to that news. I figured it would help cushion the blow if it meant you get to have a beautiful woman around you at all times"

(Y/n) nodded slowly before shrugging. "I suppose it did, however I'd appreciate it if you stopped spying on me. I'm not a child anymore and although sometimes I don't mind being treated like one nobody likes being told on to their mother"

Lena was silent for a moment. "Fine. I won't ask her for all the small details but anything dangerous that happens to you or anything I should know gets to me immediately"

(Y/n) shrugged. "Good enough for me" he spoke as he stood up. "By the way I'm taking a position at Kord Industries"

Lena frowned, still unhappy about the idea of her son working for the company which just bought hers. "Nothing that makes you look bad I hope"

"Of course not" (y/n) replied as he walked towards the door. "But that means I'll need to use another of your planes more often"

"You're going to commute from here to Texas?" Lena asked with a surprised look. "Do you know how much fuel that would use?"

"So I'll use the electric jet" he shrugged. "I don't mind the long flights" he walked out of his mothers office and closed the door behind him.

He walked past his mothers assistant's desk and towards the elevator where Mercy was waiting for him. "Where are we headed?" She asked as she clicked the button to open the elevator doors.

"I'm going home to do... something. You can go do whatever it is you do when you're not following me" (y/n) replied as he entered the elevator and Mercy did the same.

"I'll go with you" Mercy responded simply as she waited for the elevator to take them down to the parking garage.

The boy smirked. "Just can't bare to take your eyes off me Hm?"

Mercy rolled her eyes. "I just don't want to anger your mother by abandoning my job"

The boy frowned. "How long will you be following me?"

"However long I'm told too" Mercy replied as she was now the one to smirk. "What's the matter? Don't like having a cute girl who'll follow you everywhere and beat people up for you?"

"You raise a valid point" (y/n) shrugged as he glanced at his watch. "Fine. Follow me if you wish. Not like I'm doing much of anything anyways"

Mercy nodded and the door opened. They exited the elevator and walked out into the parking garage.

Jaime Reyes walked beside Jenny Kord as they overlooked the construction of new housing paid for by Kord Industries for the less fortunate of Palmera City. "You're really hiring a Luthor?" The boy asked with a surprised look.

"Why shouldn't I?" Jenny asked with a shrug. "You know as well as I do that not everyone is like the worst of their family"

"I'm not saying he is" Jaime was quick to reply. "It just surprises me he isn't working for his company... or that he even needs a job"

Jenny shook her head and smiled. "He doesn't need a job. He struggles with anxiety, I recommended that getting one could help how his mind off that. So I offered him a job"

Jaime nodded, understanding her intentions a bit better now. "Jenny Kord, superhero. Saving little rich boys from anxiety"

The girl let out a small laugh at that. "Shut up" she spoke as she gently hit the boys shoulder. "It's not a laughing matter... no matter how funny it is"

"Right" Jaime nodded. "Just never expected anything like anxiety from a Luthor"

Lex Luthor sat in his cell, not wasting a second of his precious time as he continued to ponder all the implications of his plans. Once he was out of here he had a lot to do.

"Luthor" Lex turned to see one of the guards at the door to his cell. "You've got a visitor" this was a surprise to Lex. He stood up as the door to his cell was opened.

Lex let the guard lead him to the visiting room and sat down across from Eve Teschmacher. "Miss Teschmacher, you know you aren't supposed to be here unless it's the monthly visit or I summon you"

"I know but I figured this was important enough that you may need to factor it into your plans" Eve replied quickly.

Lex stared at her for a moment before nodding. "Don't waste my time"

"Lena's son is going to work at Kord Industries"

"Is that it?" Lex asked, causing the girls smile to waver. "I'm well aware of this and I've got one of my other people keeping me up to date on all his activities. How is Lena taking this change?"

"She's angry but not fighting it to much" Eve spoke, hoping any information she could give no was enough to make Lex think this wasn't a complete waste of time. "She's hired a bodyguard to spy on him and he's going to be using her electric jet to commute"

"Ah so the little bird isn't yet ready to leave the nest" Lex let out a small laugh. "Pathetic but useful information. I'll work that into my plans"
