After resting for the next few days in this wonderful wor- who are you kidding this world is nothing like the games and books you read, but it was still pretty cool to be a part of. But we are getting off track! After you rested you began to travel with Kazuma and Megumin every day to an abandoned castle outside of the town and watch your wise master use her abilities due to sheer boredom. You analyzed each explosion and calculated the time changes between impacts, the after effects such as shockwaves and if it disappeared quickly or lingered. You noticed doing the same and one-day Megumin exclaimed you had both fully learned the path of explosions. So to see if this was fully true on a cold, rainy afternoon you snuck away from your building job to test and see if you could fully weaponize explosion magic. You stepped firmly into the place Megumin stood each time and gazed upon the castle, shrouded in a shadow due to the intense fall of the rain. You readied your new staff and began to recite your own personal words to activate the magic.

(Y/n): Give me the magic I so choose to use and make me the determiner of the crimson fate of its use.

A dark (F/c) and black circle formed at the end of your staff.

(Y/n): I beg for the destruction of my target with a beautiful (F/c) and black finale.

The same color circle appeared under your feet as you could feel your veins feel with magic.

(Y/n): EXPLOSION!!!

You gripped your staff with both hands as a beam blasted from the end of it directed at the abandoned castle. You watched as the beam dissipated before a fantastic (F/c) and black explosion rose just in front of the castle. A smile grew on your face as the explosion funneled and developed into a small mushroom shape before disappearing into the rain and smoke.

(Y/n): I... I did it! 

You jumped up in triumph, but as soon as you hit the ground you lost all feeling in your body and you fell back into the mud.

(Y/n): Probably shouldn't have done this alone.

???: I'm so proud of you!

You looked up as far as you could and saw that Megumin was standing there with her fists raised and clenched in excitement.

Megumin: You truly mastered the path of explosions if that was the first time you've ever used it!

(Y/n): Well I had a good teacher.

Megumin grew a slight blush but kept that big grin on her face. She walked over and stood over you.

(Y/n): Could you help me get up?

Megumin: No.

(Y/n): Could I ask why?

Megumin: I couldn't possibly carry you back to town.

(Y/n): Well then maybe... could you drag me under a tree or something?

Megumin gripped you by the shoulders and dragged you, struggling all the way to the point she tried to push you by the feet. Eventually, she managed to drag you to a tree and prop you against it.

(Y/n): So how did you know I was trying my explosion magic?

Megumin: I saw you sneak off and decided to follow you. Anything beats getting out of work. But I'm glad I left because that explosion you made was amazing!

(Y/n): Yeah I'm glad I tried it, but my clothes are soaked and covered in mud so I'll probably new a new outfit unless Aqua has enough water to clean it.

An uncomfortable silence filled the air as you both couldn't find a topic to focus on.

(Y/n): So...

Megumin: So...

(Y/n): H-How long does it take for the feeling to return to my body?

Megumin: I think it depends on the explosion or I had Kazuma carry me around so I don't have an exact time estimate.

(Y/n): Alright I guess. Um...

Megumin: What?

(Y/n): Thank you for teaching me the path of explosions oh wise master Megumin.

Megumin: I'm not your master anymore (Y/n). So please just call me Megumin from now on because we are finally on par!

You noticed she said that sentence with vigor, but her tone was sad. You tried to reach for her, but you found that your body was still very much paralyzed from the neck down.

Megumin: I-I just thought of something.

You looked at her face and saw it was blushing furiously. She began to crawl closer to you.

Megumin: A good master rewards her students with something upon completion of their training right?

(Y/n): I-I'm not so s-sure that's t-

Your voiced caught in your throat as your former master straddled your waist. Your eyes widened to a comical size, your heart tried to burst through your chest and your face burned hotter than the explosion you just caused. You back away as far as you could in your state. Megumin moved her face closer to yours and then ran her finger along your jawline and ended by resting it on your bottom lip.

(Y/n) in mind: W-When did Megumin become so seductive?! This is bad! Brain what do I do?!

(Y/n)'s Brain: Role with it.

(Y/n) in mind: W-Wh-

(Y/n)'s Brain: Just trust me! This is going to be good.

(Y/n) in mind: A-All right.

You returned to reality where Megumin offered you a simple question upon returning.

Megumin: Do you want your reward (Y/n)?

Your brain took over again as your face flew forward and your lips collied with those of Megumin. Megumin gave a gasp into your mouth before returning the kiss. You gave everything you could scrape from your emotionless body into the kiss as Megumin brought up her hands and placed them on the sides of your face pulling you closer. Megumin's lips were soft on yours as considering this was one of the very few kisses you've had in your life, even with Darkness, this could be considered one of the best. Megumin was pouring in a feeling into the kiss. It was intense and she clearly wanted to tell you something, but she was delivering it in this kiss. Was it L-Lov-

CRASH!!!

You both jumped as lightning crackled in the sky as Megumin pulled from the kiss and dug her head into your neck, clinging to you tightly.

Megumin:  I DON"T WANT TO BE FROG FOOD AGAIN!!!

You managed to get a slight feeling in your right arm as you lifted and draped it over Megumin's shoulders.

(Y/n): I may not be able to move, but I swear to defend you from giant frogs.

Megumin: Y-You promise?

You gave her a toothy grin and replied.

(Y/n): You bet!

Megumin smiled and hugged you again. You gave it back to the best of your abilities.

(Y/n): I think I can walk again, but could you help me?

Megumin: I'll try.

Megumin stood up and pulled on your arm. You managed to maintain a standing position as you wrapped your arm around Megumin and she supported your weight. You took a careful step forward, then another, and another and soon you were on your way to town. It was only at this moment that you saw the state of your glasses lenses.

(Y/n): AWWWWWW!!!

Megumin: What?

(Y/n): My glasses are covered in rain!

Megumin: Can't you just clean them?

(Y/n): They'll just get dirtier!

Megumin: How does that work?

(Y/n): Don't ask because I can't explain it.

Then something else popped into your head. Your chips... were out under that log in the rain! You bolted faster than anything in your life as you essentially warped back to town as Megumin shouted angrily behind you trying to keep up. So you kissed Megumin today (In my opinion she is best girl) and learned Explosion magic fully. Now we'll see what adventures come next for your in this blessed world!
